  1. na man that'll be plenty for it.

    CPU : Intel Core2Duo E8400 3.0GHz

    GPU : 430GT

    RAM : 4gb DDR3 1600 RAM

yeah thats still better than a lot of pc's

I wouldn't say "plenty" .. it will run it I'm sure but not much better than a console... that GPU is just about on par with a console GPU except its DX11... which doesn't really matter with skyrim since it wont make use of any DX11 effects.

Really?! a 430GT is on par with the console gpu's? Xbox 360 use a custom 500 MHz ATI gpu thats similar to the sapphire x1950pro. Ps3 runs a 550MHz 7900gtx from Nvidia. The GT430 has higher clock speeds, higher standard memory than both of them. I mean I know the GT430 aint the best but surly its better than the console gpu

  2. Oh woow that's stupid, the copy I took was clearly incorrect. Sorry I did some research and these are the actual specs:

    Asus G73SW

    CPU: Intel Core i7-2630QM, 2.0GHz

    Memory: 8GB

    HDD: 750GB

    Operating system: 64 bit

Video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M, 1.5GB

I hope this is enough, im quite the noob when it comes to computer (speccs). I didn't know the video card is THAT impressive tbh, I payed 1150euros for this gaminglaptop so that's quite a bit of money.

Yeah you'll be fine! Not bad for a laptop either, little bugger packs a punch!

  3. All that quality merchandise and you go and put kingston in there?

kingston have been in the industry for quite some time, besides here in OZ we aren't exactly fat on choices, the only other choices I have are G.skill - which I don't like at all. I could go for Corsair - they do produce decent DDR3 ram with well designed cooling, which in case you haven't noticed is a rather important thing for me.

Yeah i did notice, I just figured you'd have Corsair in there :)

Over the years I have found that kingston modules tend to be better at handling higher voltages and clock speeds, Corsair do pretty darned well too.

Ah, see now i know near to F*ck all when it comes to clocks (can hardly operate an alarm clock!) is that why you went for kingston? better clock results?

  4. My target is 1920X 1200 - (my monitor is a viewsonic 27" 16:10) i'm expecting to get around@ 45-55 FPS with 8XCSAA and 4X AF

Case : Thermaltake Level 10 GT

    Mobo: Gigabyte UD3R Z68X chipset

CPU: Intel i7 2600K (water cooled)

Videocard: MSI GTX580 – 1536MB - (water cooled, full coverage waterblock)

    Ram: 8gb Kingston HyperX

    HD: 2X Western Digital Black SATA3 2TB

Soundcard: Creative X-Fi Titanium connected to a Klipsch full 5.1 550W surround sound system -one of the older klipsch systems but I haven't heard anything for the Pc that can surpass it

All that quality merchandise and you go and put kingston in there?

  5. I hope there is a mod that will disable the hud if it cant already be done.

I heard a while ago that you could get rid of the hud as far as your health stamina etc meters but not the compass.

Well I want to get rid of it all! nothing on my screen no compass no quest markers no nothing. I want this game to take me frickin ages to finish lol

I don't care if i spend most of the time frustrated because i dont know what im doing or where im going, because in my opinion its better than having a journal the knows everything already and a character that knows exactly where this supposed "hidden cave" is.

If i cant get rid of the compass and quest markers i'm just gonna have to stick some tape on my screen so i cant see it lol

  6. i still want the compass pointing me north or east etc!

and with clairvoyance spell you can also find your way

so markers off yes! also fast travel, carriage ride is fine

oh yeah i forgot about the clairvoyance spell. and i agree with the fast travel. i dont want that either but i just know i'll be tempted with it like crazy (no self control)

  7. Ok i just wanted to share a thought and see if anyone feels the same way.

When I eventually get to the end of the tutorial dungeon/cave or whatever, I plan on disabling the hud if I can. Now I mean all of it, I think I heard a while ago that you could get rid of the hud as far as your health stamina etc meters but not the compass. Well I want to get rid of it all! nothing on my screen no compass no quest markers no nothing. I want this game to take me frickin ages to finish lol

at least until a mod comes out that will sort it out.

Anyways my views aside.. what do you guys think?
