  1. Hey, I just dug out DAO to finish all the DLC i had not done before. Seems to be some glitch or bug with the DLC triggers. I have played Witch Hunt all the way to the Dragonbone wastes, no battle in the area where the Door is found, and the Nest door will not open. There is no transit arrow, door symbol, or anything to click in order to open the door. Also: I played A tale of Orzammar to the end area, where i found the Tomb, and defeated the Golum, nothing there to click/look at. And the final battle where Behlen should show up never happens, and the finish would never start. After being stuck in two of these, which i can not finish. I am not sure i want to spend the time on any of the others. Any one who can offer a fix or solution for this problem, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help given.
  2. I am having a problem with Fazzil's Request from the Chanter's Board in Denerim. It will not finish in my Journal, even though i accepted the quest, an the board shows the red seal of being accepted. I found the sextant and returned to the board, there is no (!) above the head of the chanter next to the board. The quest is still listed on the board but will not finish or update in my journal. Would like to find something that would show current states and allow me to mark quests finished. Also a Save Game Editor would be great. Any help about fixing Quest bugs an Hangups would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Why have Game Companies turned the Love of Games into the Love of Money? Simple, Greed. Not all have succumbed to the lure of fast money, over the Quality of their product. But you know which is which, no need to point a finger. This is even more apparent when a "Mod" is better than the Release. In the Food Industry you have "Feasts" by Chiefs, and you have "Fast Food". The former being made by some one who Loves his creation, the later money driven and profit motivated. This is much the same as we find in the Big Corporate Game Companies today. Instead of Making a PC Game, using all the Deep Core Power available on the PC, to deliver a "Feast". We are instead given a "Fast Food" Console Port, complete with knee jerk game play and lack of depth, With a side order of Glitches, Bugs, and "Slow Ketchup" support. On top of all this, we are expected to pay for the "Feast", which the Marketing Hype has promised, but instead place our order only to find we have gotten a "Fast food" Release, in our Hot little hands. Hey, What happened to making a PC Game, and Porting it to the Consoles? Would that not give everyone the best of both worlds? And justify the Price? Don't get me wrong, I am not against Consoles or those that like them. But i am a PC player, who has put a lot of Time and Money, into my System. I expect Games to cater to me, in a way that reflects my Taste!! I also have been through all the Marketing Hype done by the Big Game Corps, saying the PC was Dead. Trying to scare people into buying consoles to support their "Fast food" philosophy. Well that has not worked out like they intended, but they keep trying, making new games to fit two and three year old tech, and throwing the scraps to the PC. This is Not only a dis-service to PC Gamers, But is a Slap in the Face, to those who have kept their systems up to date, in order to play Great Games!! Now i draw the line, and will not support those Companies who Serve only the "Fast food" style Games. You want my Money an Support? Then give me a PC "Feast", otherwise I can cook the "Beans" off the shelf on my own.

First let me say, the game has been going OK with no problems, untill i got to the point of upgrading from the Goliath to the Lightning SHIV (The one that Flys) Now when i get a Mission and it takes me to the Team Select Screen, I have all 6 Human Team Members, but if i CLEAR one and replace with a Lightning SHIV, there is no picture of the SHIV. It gives all the data about the SHIV but it is invisible on screen. If i continue to the mission, the SHIV's are replaced/represented by Humans, upon which time everything Locks up. If i use Goliath's every thing seems to work correct with no problems. Only seem to have a problem when i use the Lightning Version of the SHIV's Any one with an Idea how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I been waiting for a new Game Control Interface, ever since my Mouse Bit Me....... I thought that Voice would be improved an added to Games, but i guess the publishers are not willing to lose profits to R and D. But after dealing with Keyboard an Mouse for over 20 years, i would have thought, something better would have come along before now. Seems like some Hi Tech Nerds at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Minnesota, Have developed a working Interface "Cap" that needs no holes drilled into your skull to use. I would like to see everyone inform their favorite Game Company about this, and push them to support an help develop this, along with any other IMPROVED controller for us.   8. Hey all i am saying is "I would like the Choice", I have spent many hours replaying levels in games with no save, spent a whole week end non stop in 1979 playing Star Trek on a Apple. But sometimes i would like to just Get Laid Back with a game, watch it like a Movie, but the AI playing my Created Character. And if i had the option to take over if and when i want to, so what? After watching the complete game start to finish, I just might wana do the Witcher 2 Insane mode....... Here is Just a little info to help show my point of view, and why it may be just what Game Companies need.   9. I want to thank all for your input, rude or otherwise. But i ask, What is wrong with choice? or added options? Use it or not is up to you. As for me, it is not about playing the game or not. Just an added feature that could be used at your discretion. Same as using Cheats, Walkthrus, ect. Your Choice!! I don't want you to put me in YOUR BOX, nor do i want to put you in MY BOX, just THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!
  10. Every one knows the drill, playing a game an get stuck, search net for guide or cheat or solution. I would like to see ALL games having a PLAYER AI, that is a AI which would take over the players avatar in game and continue playing untill stopped. This would automatically resolve those STUCK situations, as the AI would complete the section 100% perfect, thus getting you past the stuck section. You could let the AI go thru the entire game from first to last chapter if you like, This would be like watching the game (Or portion of) as a Movie. OR you could start at any point and stop at any point, saving the game where ever you want. No more need to search for a guide or walkthru for those hard or boring to complete sections of the game. No more multiple redo's because of dieing over an over. Just switch to the AI and continue to a point past the spot your stuck at and switch back to your control where and when you like.
  11. Ok, now i have gone to the trouble to gather all the ingredients for my Special Potion, but when needed i can not use it? IS THIS REAL? Cant just pull it out of my pocket or bag, GOT TO MEDITATE ABOUT IT FIRST.....Give me a ******* break, What's real about this? Seems that you have to get in a situation and DIE first, then reload the last save, in order to know that you should have taken a specific potion beforehand. DUH.....Who was the Genius with the Pointy Cone Hat that came up with this great idea? The only time that you are prepared is when the story line tells you first, as in the Kayran quest. If that is the way it has to be, then give the Witcher the ability to see the FUTURE for at least the immediate upcoming combat. That way all those potions he is carrying around, become useful. Better yet, Someone make a mod to give back the ability to use stuff normally!!!! Again making the game feel REAL!!!
  12. OK the Level Bad Ass must be Harder to deal with, but 500% or more? I find this incredible For a story based RPG or Adventure game. I do NOT want to pound the keys 30mins or more, doing the same thing over and over in order to progress the story line. I hate the ARCADE MINDSET behind QTE.....I want to live inside the Game, feel the story, not get thrown out of it. So if I have to battle this Big Bad Ass to continue, Fine! Just don't make him ARCADE SUPERMAN and totally out of balance within the world. RETURN me to a NORMAL GAME COMBAT STYLE like the majority of the game OR give me a Op-Out button, before i loose my immersion!!! PLEASE SOMEONE make a MOD that will allow me to take out or change the QTE portions of the game, so i can fight NORMALLY, as in the rest of the game. OR give me a BYPASS BUTTON, so that i can at least continue the story, without having to subject me to this ARCADE CRAP. My Mind thanks you, My Keyboard an Mouse thanks you, and the STORY IMMERSION thanks you!!!!
  13. I want to say that The Witcher 2 is one of the TOP Games to date. I appreciate and support any company that strives to deliver a quality game to the market. There are too many, that promise the Sky, and deliver plain ol dirt, With no repairs. That said: I have always looked at RPG/Adventure Games as being an interactive extension to Books an Movies, with story line immersion and playability being the TOP Priority. Any one remember Text Only, Crystal Caves or Emon? Had to be STORY DRIVEN..... Arcade Games on the other hand, are based on redoing the level, Beating the 97% Unbeatable Boss stuff. With the main objective being to plunk more money in and try again. Arcade Games are designed for a pound the keys 30 mins or more experience. ( For Consoles?) Doing the same thing over and over in order to progress, makes a Arcade Game a different animal entirely. I think the lines have become somewhat unclear or erased altogether in the Game Industry.(Due to Console Ports?) Due to lack of time, or profit motives, the easy way out is injecting arcade stuff, which only serves to break the immersion, in a true RPG/Adventure Game!!! Now remember, A RPG/Adventure is a Story (Like a Book) where you Control the Main Character in the plot. Now does it make sense that as you read a story, you get to a point where you have to turn the same page 300 times in order to continue? NO! What i really don't understand, is why After all the effort to pull you into the Game, You blow it, by forcing me into a ARCADE Game when i don't want one. REMEMBER THAT STORY IMMERSION SHOULD BE THE MAIN POINT IN A RPG/ADVENTURE GAME!!!! Don't get me wrong, I Love the Battles an Combat aspect of games. That gives you a good feeling to win, and helps to drive the story on. But i loose that when i have to beat the ARCADE MINDSET to do it. Why make things so overly complicated? It only detracts from the story immersion. Why do you feel like you have to Handicap the player? "Again ARCADE MINDSET" Example, If i have something in my pocket, but i cant use it if i am in combat? How real is that? Why go to all the trouble to setup Graphics and Storyline, to put you into a REAL WORLD, and then break things, so it feels "NOT REAL"? In the real world, when faced with a life threating situation, you will use anything you have to save yourself!!! PLEASE KEEP IT REAL, OR MAKE YOUR ARCADE GAME SEPARATE!!!! ( Due to Console Port?) I really hope someone will make a MOD that puts the QTE parts back into the normal combat style of the game, OR allows one to bypass this entirely. Pounding my keyboard an mouse OVER AN OVER does not help my Story Immersion, Hardware, or State of Mind!!!

  15. You know of Course that every journey starts with one step!! How much info has already been attained by the various teams working on large Overhaul Mods already? If something was set up, so that everyone could pool their info an work together, on the project, that would put us way ahead on this kind of effort. How did WOW do it? That's a BIG BIG RPG!!!! and what about Torchleech which used the same idea? Maybe a Base FOMOD with all the files needed for one Giant Package? Like combining all the Major Mods along with others in the Top 100 list? And monthly FOMODS to update changes to that base? Along with a script to backup any files that would be overwritten, so as not to break the game if a mod is removed. After installation one could just turn off an delete the items they don't want, an since it is a fomod it would remove them clean. (at least that is what i understand about FOMODS) Or use the Refurbish program with a script just for the base mod items, which could be checked or not to remove? The more i think about it, maybe a next step would be a combining FOMM with FO3Edit, I know that is where i loose most of my time going back an forth. And add a MOD update system which would search, and not only update but correct your installed MODS by alerts of files needed but not found. It would also check an update the load order list in FOMM as well? Maybe we are trying to make this too complicated, What if each mod builder provided a script of where his mod should be placed, based on the Top 100 list? This script would include any mods needed an also any mods which are incompatible. This could be input via an on-line Database where all the mod builders could add their mods into the database list (must log in an verify they are the author) As this gets filled, it would be easy for every one to check anything above or below that would break his or another MOD, which info he would add. The Mod Author could then contact the other MOD authors an work together on a solution, after which add the resolution back to the database. This way everyone can help an all the burden is not placed on just a few, this would provide all with a basic place to resolve problems, both the Authors an Users. With the desired result of providing anyone with a Best Load Order List. From which all info about each Mod could be Linked, tagged, ect, for easy retrieval an info. Maybe not perfect, but a step......What do you think?
  16. Did you copy FO3edit twice MORE and rename one FO3MasterUpdate and the other FO3MasterRestore, then put them all in your FallOut main directory Not the Data Directory? It says you need to run Master Update each time you add to or change your load order. Also try resetting ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated after each addon or change to make sure all your mods got the right flag. Hope this helps ya......
  17. Hey, I got that too when i first started to try modding. First be sure you have installed Fallout 3 to C:\Games\Fallout 3 GOTYE\ (In my case it is the Game of the year Edition) You do this to avoid the problem with UAC in windows. Then you put FO3Edit and the file Fallout3.Hardcoded.keep.this.with.the.exe.and.otherwise.ignore.it.I.really.mean.it INTO your C:\Games\Fallout 3 GOTYE\ folder, NOT the Data Folder Then make a copy of FO3Edit and rename it: FO3MasterUpdate and paste it into the same folder: C:\Games\Fallout 3 GOTYE\ Then make a copy of FO3Edit and rename it: FO3MasterRestore and paste it into the same folder: C:\Games\Fallout 3 GOTYE\ You should be good to go now. But to be sure set each one to run as administrator. Also be sure to install FOSE script extender cause a lot of mods depend/need it to run anyway. Hope this helps....Later!! ChuckFlash

  20. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GREAT INPUT, now i don't feel so much like Robinson Crusoe looking for Friday!!! BUT ALL SAID....... There has to be a better way!!!! I think the most frustrating an time consuming part of installing MODS is the fact that you have to go back an forth between several programs in order to make a somewhat compatible mod order. AND you have to do it all from inside your GAME FOLDER!!! Instead of having to Use FOMM an FO3edit (BOSS) separately to Add, check for conflicts, or find the best load order. It would be great to have a stand alone application that would not require putting your Mods into your Game, before checking them out. LIKE COMBINING FOMM (Mod List), FO3EDIT/BOSS (Conflict Filter), AND 7-ZIP or other PATCH MAKER, all in one AND OUTSIDE YOUR GAME FOLDER!!! It would allow you to drag an drop/or put your Mod Files into its Data Folder. Where it would add the Mod to the LIST screen on the left, where you can move the mod up or down the list, Turn the Mod on or off, or remove it (like Fomm). ALSO like LHammonds says, it would have a MOD UPDATE FUNCTION, which could take you to the mod website/Nexus? an download any updates or files missing. With each change, As you Add Mods to the list or change your load order in the list, or turn the mod on or off. It would update a colored conflict screen on the right, showing your Total Mod List (like FO3edit/BOSS).   21. Yes, that is what BOSS an FOMM and FO3 are supposed to do. But if you look thru the posts an forums, seems like there is some problem there. Guess what i really would like to see, is something like the mod update program for Torchlite. Where you would go online an login, then it would auto load all mods with their updated versions, and RED out incompatible mods based on your current load. YELLOW out mods with some conflicts based on your current load. (Offer links or info how to resolve or at least tell you which mods it conflicts with) GREEN out mods you can add to your current load. It would then give you download selection options, and then download an install the new mods where they belong in the load order. THIS IS MY PERSONAL WISH.....Of course i don't believe in Genies...........But i do believe in programmers who may be motivated enough!!!! There just has to be a better way!!!!
  22. First let me say that Nexus is the Premier site for finding info an mods!!!!! I love it!!!! But after trying to read so many opinions about the best mod load order, how to make a crash free load order, ect ect..... It occurred to me that a lot of time spent searching for info, could be better spent playing the game!!!! If we only had a Load Order page where we could go an get the current best working load order for the top 100 mods!! That would at least provide us a Starting Point, which we could work with. This page could be maintained by a few of the Most Experienced working with Mods, as well as the author of each mod in the Top 100, so that the mods load would work with out problems!!! This would give all a basic work from template that could be changed or added to as new mods make it into the Top 100 list. Which would allow modders to make their mod to be 100% compatible via the list. Maybe this could soon grow to be the Top 150, 250, or even higher load list using combining? It could also provide a feedback from users to alert both the team an mod builders, regarding any bugs or implementation problems, specific to this load order. This would help insure that the latest info an updates information or any special instructions for mod install, could be easily updated and found here. I think that this would help at least 80-90% of the users on the site, the other 10-20% DON'T NEED NO HELP, as they are the ones who would be maintaining the TOP 100 LOAD ORDER!!!!!! Please let me know what you think, or better yet let the Site Admins know.......Thanks for your input......

  24. Hey All, First i wish to say THANKS to all the Mod Community for their time an efforts in Making Fallout 3 a Game Worth Playing!!!!!!! Seems like i have spent more time with this Game than with my Girl Friends....... But after having to format an reinstall my System, an losing over 6 months of play time, I have spent a week already, trying to find all the New and updated versions of the mods i wish to use. And it is starting to look like another several weeks before i even begin to play. Not to mention any conflicts or problems afterwards. I WANT A FALLOUT 3 MOD MANAGER LIKE TORCHLEECH!!!!! That i can use with Nexus to download an update my mods. If anyone here is familiar with Torchlight, you may have seen/used the program called TorchLeech - which is a free mod manager inspired by "WoWMatrix" for World of Warcraft. The main goal of TorchLeech is to provide a simple de-/install and update of mods for your Game installation just by one click. The manager automatically detect conflicts between mods, allow to disable/enable a specific mod and edit the 'mods.dat'. The online database is a download mirror of repacked archives to pull out every mod with informations about author, version, an load order. All mods must be functional and pass a quality check (by the Game/Mod team) in order to be included. I would be interested in what others think.
