  1. Not necessarily. There are plenty of retextures that are a bit different in style than the vanilla textures provided by Bethesda's DLC. It should also be noted that there are some textures, such as spider webs, that are unaffected by the HD Texture Pack. As for the armor mod, I would follow the author's direction and get the additional texture.
  2. Oh, thank you so much for this. I just started playing Morrowind again. While I keep my own database of mods I like, it's nice to have the option of looking for new ones without fumbling about all the Oblivion mods.
  3. Awesome, thank you! I came across Modding Fallout NV Tutorials literally less than 3 minutes before checking to see if I had gotten any replies. Thank you again, and here's hoping it puts me on the path to visual (and gameplay) glory.
  4. First off, I apologize if I come across as blind or incredibly ignorant for posting this thread. I've come back to playing New Vegas after a stint of Skyrim, and was wondering if there was anything like Skyrim's S.T.E.P guide by TheCompiler that existed for New Vegas. Thus far, I've been unable to find one, though I would like to find a conflict free guide and potentially save my self the trouble of (possible) hours of trouble shooting should I run into conflict. Thank you for taking the time to consider my inquiry.
  5. Guess there's not a whole lot of love for this idea, or people are involved in more important projects. Still hoping to see this in the future, or miraculously figure out how to do it myself.
  6. Maybe it's just me, but I think the Dremora horns in Skyrim look terrible. It appears to me that they grow out of the top of the head and then backwards. Personally, I prefer Morrowind's Dremora over everything, and I would love it if some modeller out there were able to either re-orient the horns to be coming from the forehead, or create a whole new model in this style.
  7. I've played with the CK a bit, but my skill and experience as a modder are both considerably limited. However, that doesn't mean that I don't have ideas. Here are a few things I'd like to see: 1: Goldbrand, and very likely other lore-based artifacts. The only lore-friendly position I can think of to see Goldbrand in the game would be I believe someone was working on a mod to make General Tullius' armor the Lord's Mail, but I'd have to check back up on that. 2: I prefer the forward facing horns of Dremora in Morrowind and Oblivion, and dearly hope that someone will make a model like that for in game Dremora and the Dremora made playable by a few mods out there. 3: Human Flesh and Human Hearts are alchemical ingredients in the game, but not often happened upon. I don't see why one wouldn't be able to harvest the hearts and flesh of slain foes, as grotesque and abominable as the idea may be. Perhaps those with Namira's Ring would be able to harvest more. I wouldn't expect it to be a 100% drop rate, goodness knows enough bandits meet their end having their flesh burned off or taking a sword through the chest, but I don't think it's unfeasible. Feel free to give me a sanity check if there's any reason any of this is beyond doing or just senseless.
  8. There is already a mod out there. I believe it's called "Enhanced Detection", and I think the author of the mod is Fliggerty. It's not 'perfect' but it does add a particle effect to detectable things that you can see through walls and floors and such. I've had it cause a CTD for me if I get to close; that may not be a common problem though.
