  1. It's probably memory leakage. Fallout games are known for having this issue. I use Zan AutoPurge Crash Protector - New Vegas Edition myself and find that it works pretty well in stopping this from happening though not completely. If I start having the issue and it won't clear I will sometimes have to do a save and then reload that save right away and it generally will clear up. Worst case is that if it doesn't then quit and restart the game.
  2. I would definitely agree with M48A5. You should be launching thru NVSE. Also with so many mods you should consider using FNV4GB (found on Nexus). But I'm not sure that is what is causing this problem. After running loot the load order is correct? Or is the load order being changed by loot. Hard to believe that FNVEdit would change the load order. Loot is ok but always best to set your load order manually if at all possible.
  3. Also run FNVEdit to see if it finds anything wrong. One of the easiest and quickest ways to see if you are missing anything or have a problem with your load order. And don't forget about creating a merged patch especially when running quite a few mods...
  4. Ok never mind. I finally figured everything out....
  5. Ok the mod has been uploaded to Nexus.
  6. Ok I'm ready to upload a mod but screwed up a bit. I accidently duplicated the images I attached to the mod. And I see no way to correct it. How the hell can this be corrected before publishing?
  7. Ok I'll talk to Fallout2AM about getting this uploaded. Just need an ok since technically she created the mod....
  8. Ok the mod indeed is completed and function perfectly. Fallout2AM did a great job in getting this mod built. If anybody else would have any interest in this we can go ahead and upload it on Nexus. Again just a brief description of why you may like this mod and how it works. If you like to sneak a lot and find yourself in an area with an enemy near by and you see something you want to steal that happens to be on a bed or near a couch or any place else that gives you the option to sit then this mod might be something you'll like. What it does is that while you are in sneak mode sitting is disabled. So you can go ahead and not have to be super carefull when you try to steal something because you will not accidently sit thus removing your stealth and becoming visible and thus most likely attacked by an enemy nearby. Now if you do have the need to actually sit for whatever reason all you need to do is come out of sneak mode and sitting is then fully enabled. This mod when it loads is set to the default of sitting disabled. But you access it via MCM where you will see an option that will enable sitting. This will be just like the mod is not installed at all. It's just there as an option instead of needing to enable or disable the mod via your mod manager. BTW this mod works well with TTW as well....
  9. NVSE needs to be installed into the same folder as your FONV exe. This includes all of dll's that come with NVSE. Do not install into the data folder like a normal mod.. Once it is in there then NMM will recognize it as being there and you can then launch the game using NVSE. Just go up under the left pulldown menu and select it as your launch option.
  10. Thanks..... But Fallout2AM helped me out and I now have a small mod that does exactly what I wanted... :)
  11. Oh well...... Next time I'll have to ask for somebody to use the word in a sentence before I attempt to spell it out....
  12. Ok thanks. That was sort of what I thought it was going to be. So how do you determine who gave you the kudos or is it just done anomalously?
  13. Ok, I searched around on the Nexus mod site to try and figure out what the heck kudos was all about and couldn't resolve my curiosity. I see that I have 2 that recently showed up but have no idea as to why or where they came from. Or how to view whatever they are. Can somebody please explain what they are? Thanks..
  14. Yah, but you could easily drop a hundred hours into the game while hardly visiting the strip at all and STILL complete tons of quests and do most things. The beauty of NV's quests is that you can do most in any way and in any order (barring bugs). They're all interrelated and relevant to each other because of NV's faction system. Yes that is very true and basically what I actually end up doing along with using a few excellent mods like New Vegas Bounties 1 & 2 as well as A World of Pain to just name a few. But it would have been nice if the Strip offered anywhere near what DC ruins offers especially with a mod like DC Interiors. Just a bunch of casinos is boring for me. But maybe it's just me...
  15. I tried Skyrim for maybe an hour or so before I just got bored. Yes it did look nice but that's about it. Just not my cup of tea messing with spells and such. I prefer a good modern killing rifle, handgun or grenade with enemies equiped against me equally as well... Personally, I like FO3 a bit more than FONV. The most driving reason is the map especially the DC Ruins and the subway systems. I really dislike the Vegas Strip. I only bother with the strip if I'm quest driven. The rest of the map is ok though Hoover Dam for all of it's glory is lacking. Also I don't really care for the main story line in FONV. I enjoyed FO3's better... Probably because in FONV it involved going into the Strip too much. Did I mention how much I dislike the Strip?
  16. Ok thanks.... If the action key couldn't be edited then I was just hoping that there would be a way to disable the sit option all together. But guess not.... Oh well....
  17. OK so maybe what I asked is harder than I thought it would be or maybe it's just a stupid request that nobody wants to bother helping with? Yes it is a minor annoyance for me but one that I surely would like to change if for no other reasons than to just learn how to do it.... So again if anybody has any suggestions I'd appreciate the assistance. Then again.....
  18. Ok hopefully a simple question. I like to sneak a lot and keep accidently sitting while in stealth when I try to pickup something on or near a chair or other places you can sit. I was wondering how to possibly just disbale sitting or changing the sit command to something other than the use (E) command? I'm not a modder so I'm not sure if this can be done in GECK or some other tool but willing to learn and try... Thanks ahead of time to anybody willing to respond and maybe assist...
  19. Is there a mod or a way to disable the ability of sitting on chairs or stools? Bugs the crap out of me every time I accidentally sit down especially if stealthed and sneaking with an enemy near by. Also is there a way to disable picking up and/or saving spent ammo casings into your inventory? I don't ever use the reloading bench so have no need at all for those casings. And I love to scavenge everything everywhere and I generally just take all from containers and dead enemies to save time and I end up having to clean them out of my inventory all the time. I've never used geck so was wondering if somebody who was really familiar with it knows if these can be done as mods or not?
