  1. Reverse engineering. That's how I started. Taking apart mods from others. Looking at the vanilla stuff. Lot of trial and error. Oh my armor is purple. Ah frack.. forgot to edit the bgsm. Been working with the CK for about a month now. Once you get the hang of it its not that hard. Could use some improvement. My tips: -Make a plan, write down your ideas. -Start small. Make milestones. Those awesome modded swords are working? Move to the next phase. -Beware of feature creep.
  2. So I have this batleth model which doesnt work ingame. Search didnt turn up anything. Error when I try to use it in the CK: "Batleth has no tangentspace and is not using modelspace normals and will not render." Dont know much about modelling, so this could be chinese for all I know. Just figured out how to do some basic stuff. I converted a scythe before that worked fine. But that was a regular .obj. Workflow: -Import batleth model (.stl) into Blender. -Added a subdivision modifier. -Exported it as .obj. -Converted to .nif with Outfit studio. -Editing with Nifskope, position, NiNode child, bounding sphere etc. -Deleted everything of the old weapon, saved.
  3. I'm trying to put dongs on animals. So I removed the manhood from a male model and stuck it on a gorilla model in outfit studio. I exported it as a nif but wont show up ingame.
  4. Hm.. I wonder if you could mod a shoe (with pointy heels) as a weapon. Totally irrelevant, sorry.
  5. Turn your idea into a script. So you'll have a sense of what to mod. There's no pdfs, only youtube videos. Why? Beats me. Maybe because people are scared of words. Or just plain lazy. 12 tutorials from texture editing to quests: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZX1yLOOr00FkO9DMTSiKIy5obS-f6lmV
  6. Is plugins read-only, did you setup the right permissions, are you the owner administrator etc. Otherwise I dont know. Maybe the mods are faulty.
  7. Manual installing for god's sake why?? You are in error, its not easier. Just drag a zipped mod into nmm. Double-click to activate. Done. Did you look at http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation
  8. Cant see sh*t because of microscopic screenshots. But anyway I choose nr 1. Other one is too clean.. Boston is not the tropical carribean.
  9. I compared some hairs, the vanilla seem to use 3 pieces of hair and 1 head part. So I guess some of the 3 parts are hidden when wearing hats etc. ?
  10. Modded hair also works this way. Though looks like sh*t. Azar ponytail hairstyles. Top hat with hair top slot: As a headband:
  11. So hire a voice actor on fiverr. Easy. Be sure to have a nice script.
  12. Weird. You must have made an error with a bgsm swap.
  13. Beth thingie Its a hexidecimal limit. Fallout 4.esm is 00 the 255th is FF. The mod list only accepts hexidecimal values up to 2 digits.
  14. I have a 50 or so. Mostly slooty/nude mods.
  15. Good to know. CK can be a real b*tch sometimes. Why not have a simple error message "swap not possible because texture not compressed".
  16. I'd like to see some cyborgs. Korvac http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/Images/Characters/Korvac.jpg You could put a raiders upper body on a mr. gutsy thruster. Or even better, use Piper. Dr Sun, vampire brain in robot body This one would be easiest. Just needs a brain model and a glass helmet. The body could be made from regular parts.
