  1. One thing is for certain. Vortex is not your issue. I just started my game, just to be sure. One thing I would try is to take SKSE out of the equation. Do a purge and then delete your Data folder. Then verify/repair through STEAM. At that point your game should be virgin pure. Disable any ENB, also. Reinstall SKSE, if needed. Launch the game using the SKSE launcher. If it successfully launches, then comes the tedious part. Figuring out which mod is causing your issue. Try re-enabling several mods at a time and restarting the game. If it launches successfully, rinse and repeat until you get the crash (or whatever happens). That way you will narrowed it down to a handful of possible suspects. One more thought: my game takes a looooong time (about a minute) to do anything visible after running the SKSE launcher. It looks like nothing is happening. Maybe this could be your problem?
  2. Actually, the list should include all installed mods. Not just plugins.
  3. When I enabled Archive Invalidation for Fallout 3 and Fallout NV, I thought it wise to deploy. It seemed logical to do so, but I may be wrong. I agree. But there is no indication that it is necessary. The button for AI is off in the settings tab. I could easily see someone setting up their load order, deploying, and then activating the AI button without a second subsequent deployment.
  4. One thing I am noticing is that you need to redeploy to get the BSA redirection method provided by Vortex to work. I am wondering if some of the people having trouble with FONV AI are missing that step.
  5. I just got through playing TW3. There more than a few mods for that game that aren't packed in a mod manager friendly format.
  6. Well, this is strange. The ini tweaks file my Fallout NV mod staging folder looks like this:
  7. So, I think the "Fallout - AI!.bsa" came from the GOG version I am using. I think the multiple "Vortex - BSA Redirection.bsa" entries is a bug. I am not sure it matters for functionality. But still...... I am going to clean up my ini and not worry about it.
  8. No. In fact , I deleted my ini files and regenerated stock default ini files. I only opened and closed Vortex once. BSA workaround was already activated. I never touched it or toggled it.
  9. Good idea. I will check when I get home. Worst case, I will handle AI outside of Vortex. If it is a bug, I will report it.
  10. Does this look correct? Why is "Vortex - BSA Redirection.bsa" listed 3 times? Why is "Fallout - AI!.bsa" there at all? Thanks!
  11. Not to be a jerk. But why are you messing with steam.dll files? If you are running a legit copy, then that is horribly bad advice. If NEED to do this for other reasons, then I wouldn't expect too much support.
  12. This is what I would do. First, use the purge capability in Vortex to clear your Data folder. Once, you have done that make copies of your .ini files and delete them. Next delete your entire Data folder. Disable any ENBs. Then re-validate your files in STEAM (or GOG). At that point, your game should be reverted to vanilla. Run Vortex archive invalidation procedure.Install NVSE, 4g patch (GOG version comes pre-patched), NVAC, NVSR, and ENB Boost.Next come the tedious part. Start re-enabling your mods in small groups of 4-5. Make sure that you redeploy each time.Run the game. If it runs, move onto the next group of 4-5 mods. If it crashes, then you have isolated the issue to a small group of mods and can troubleshoot from there.Good luck.
  13. Great idea. Because those are the ones that require an update if SKSE is updated.
  14. My advice (if you are back to default rules) is to purge, then manually clean up your Data folder back to default, verify/repair to make sure that you didn't delete anything you shouldn't have , and then re-deploy. You should be all set at that point.
  15. Vortex works fine for TW3. You do have to change the deployment method to "move", as the script merger needs the actual files, not virtual links.
  16. FYI. I was crashing, too. Turns out that there have been two versions of SKSE64 since the update. Installing the latest stopped my crashing.
  17. Disagree with this suggestion. True, don't use external LOOT to redo your load order. Let LOOT internal to Vortex do that. BUT, currently external LOOT does catch erros not found by internal to Vortex LOOT and external LOOT displays suggested BASH tags.
  18. Agreed. Vortex should display the same warnings as external LOOT. Also, I would like to see the BASH tags displayed, as external LOOT does. Thanks.,
  19. Playing TW3 right now. Have roughly 30 mods installed. The DLC's are fine.
  20. Interesting mod, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23626 . However the mod author has turned off comments for some reason. Has anybody tried it out?
