  1. This was a problem a long while ago, but now it seems like it's happening again. The problem occurs when you open a new page on the site, and an ad plays that may not even be on your screen with sound turned on by default, often at maximum volume. I can't point out the exact ads, but I have so far seen it happen today with an one advertisement for almond milk or something, and another advertisement for something Final Fantasy related. There are likely more ads than those on the site that are doing this, but I haven't seen any yet myself. I experienced it twice and just muted the site altogether to protect my years. This is problematic since you spend a lot of time going from page to page on this site, thus loading a new advertisement with the potential to automatically play sound on a regular basis. I don't know why the ads are even allowed to play sound to begin with, although I suppose that probably requires a greater understanding of the site's code and the ad services used. The only way for someone not in charge of the site's code to efficiently deal with this is to mute the entire site altogether. It's the nuclear solution, but unfortunately it's the only solution.
  2. Every time I try to visit the NexusMods site for the past couple days on multiple devices, I get a strange captcha prompt that isn't even on the Nexus website itself. I ran antivirus scans like it suggested, but they found nothing and I'm still getting the captcha. Help?
  3. Necro again, but it's now 5 months and it still hasn't been remedied. Wouldn't even care about it being a video if it didn't follow my screen and force me to close it each time as it is an obstruction. It also doesn't even make sense to have videos showcasing mods the nexus as the ads. If I cared about a pistol mod for Fallout 4, I'd be on that page. These ads don't even support the platform, and we're still bothered for it. It's daft.
  4. I want. I really, really want.
  5. So, I am having an issue when using Winter is Coming SSE - Cloaks and any crossbow in the game. When wearing a cloak (specifically the simple bear skin cloak) and using a crossbow, the weapon clips horrendously through the cloak. The standard bows and arrows work just fine, but the crossbow is just ridiculous. Even stranger, when equipping the crossbow when the game is paused (I.e., the inventory menu) it is in a really good place, as shown here; However, the crossbow snaps into the cloak the moment the game is unpaused. If I could get it to stay in that initial position when holstered, it would be perfect. I have tried searching for a solution to this, and came up with nothing. No mod to move the crossbow, not even one to hide the dang thing when holstered. I've found plenty of mods that move other weapons around, but most of them move things closer and almost none of them affect crossbows. I've even tried going into the SSE Creation kit and editing the weapon adjustment on the armor I'm using, but the crossbow seems completely immune to that property. I'm at my wits end trying to deal with this. If anyone at all could please help me with this, I would be most grateful.
  6. So here is my issue. For some unknown reason, the LOD textures for the Dawnguard DLC (I.e. those applying to Castle Volkihar and the Soul Cairn buildings) are completely missing. Where there should be normal LOD textures, it is just a purple mess. Of the things I have tried to to do to fix it, I have; Validating the integrity of the game files.Using TES5LODGENInstalling the High Res texture pack DLCThe only one of those methods that has worked was installing the High Res texture pack DLC, but when I use it my skyrim constantly hits the processing limit and crashes. I simply can't run that or any other big texture mods over everything else I have, so using the DLC isn't an option I have. Speaking of mods, here is my load order if that is needed; I also use LOOT if that's important information. I could also be having this issue with the Dragonborn DLC, but I have not made it there yet in my playthrough, so I cannot be sure as of yet. I have been looking around for a while and have been unable to find any sort of fix or remedy to my issue. If anyone could help me with this, that would be very appreciated. [EDIT] I managed to resolve the issue by enabling the High Res Texture Pack DLC, using TES5LODGEN, and then disabling the High Res DLCs. This way, the game uses the LODs included in the Texture Packs, while allowing me to not have to use said Texture Packs. Thing is, I will have to enable the DLC every time I wish to generate new LODs.
  7. Just went and found them The images look absolutely amazing, I really hope that gets out.
  8. So, a while back the user "sarcasticshark" made a wonderful mod known as "Resplendent Armor and Greatsword". Problem is, that the textures are a bit low res for my tastes. Somehow, in the 10 or so months that it's been out, no one has went and retextured the items in the mod, despite the fact that the mod author has provided the photoshop files as a separate download for that exact purpose. If someone could please up the resolution on the armor and weapon to at least 2k, that would be wonderful. Oh, and here is the mod if anyone is interested. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77315/?
  9. I mostly enjoy everything in this game, but there is one thing I despise with a passion; The fact that a person equipped only with their bare fists, can block your melee attacks. Doesn't matter if it's a sledgehammer that could smash their head apart, or a ripper that should be able to cut right through their wrists, an unarmed man can continuously block every melee attack thrown at them, making melee combat against said UNARMED MAN nigh impossible without the use of VATS. So, somebody could either make or link me to a mod that either: Removes the ability for both players and npcs to block without a melee weapon,Or makes it to where said blocking does not negate any damageThat would be excellent.
  10. Here is my issue. If I save my game or load a new area after 9:17 pm ingame time, Skyrim will instantly CTD before the save can even be created. Waiting, sleeping, or just plain standing around allows me to get past that point, but the moment the game is saved or I go through a load door, it instantly crashes. Here is my load order; I use both LOOT and the Save Game Cleaner and I have been completely unable to do anything to remedy the issue. If anyone could please help, it would be most appreciated as this issue is making the game literally unplayable. [Edit] So after doing more testing, it seems as if that specific 24 cycle starting at 9:17 was what caused the problem. Nevertheless, I am very interested in what might be the cause of that issue.
  11. Here is my request. I am wanting a mod that, through a button bound by an MCM, will allow me to teleport all of my currently active followers, pets and summons to my location. I am neither looking for a spell that would do this, or a massive follower overhaul that would provide this feature as an extra. If anyone could make this mod for me, or be so kind as to direct me to one that does this, I would be most appreciative.
  12. I think the suit would be better as a set of standard armor, as power armor is pretty bulky, and requires fusion cores, repairing, and an entering animation.
  13. I have actually installed it properly, according to multiple guides, one of which was the one Gopher uploaded today.
  14. Despite the fact my NMM is fully up-to-date, this option does not seem to exist for me.
  15. I know the script extender versions of Bethesda's other games can be launched through NMM, and knowing how I am, I'm likely to accidentally launch regular FO4 through NMM as opposed to F4SE on a consistent basis.
  16. As the title says, I want to know how to launch F4SE through NMM. I tried to find out myself, but the only solution I could find locks up my NMM until I rescan Fallout 4, because it ends up thinking the game doesn't exist. I have the most up-to-date version of NMM, so if someone could help me, that would be great.
  17. It could just be that I haven't played this game in a bit, but I believe that one of the mods I have installed is causing all standard damage to be applied as damage over time. Rather than the healthbar instantly dropping a certain amount, it slowly drains to what it's supposed to. Here is my load order; This is really starting to annoy me, anybody know what mod does this?
  18. So after learning some things about medieval history and weapons, and playing For Honor recently, I have come to the conclusion that there is one simple thing that would make Skyrim more immersive and "realistic" for me. I want all of the weapons labelled as "Greatsword" to be renamed to "Longsword". See, all of the greatswords in Skyrim aren't actualy what they are called, as real greatswords are significantly larger than in game. In some circles, they are even considered as polearms because of their shear size. However, the two handed swords in Skyrim are more akin to a longsword due to their size. If somebody could please make the appropriate renames to the items for me, that would be most appreciated. If the process of doing so is simple enough for someone with no actual knowledge of the Creation Kit to do, I will take instructions for that with a smile on my face.
  19. Any mod that requires neither the use of SKSE or a BSA file can be downloaded manually and dropped into SSE's data folder with minimal issue most of the time, almost completely circumventing the need for a modder to port it. Just find some Oldrim mods you like, see if they don't require the aforementioned things, and slap it into your game.
  20. So I just started playing SSE after installing a ridiculous amount of mods (some of which were base Skyrim mods I had to jank in), and after killing some of the stormcloaks in the intro I am finding that they all have an alchemy ingredient called "banditpowder' that only fortifies sneak and has no other effects. Here is my load order, anybody know which mod this is from? [EDIT] Figured out what mod did it, it was SOT NPC Releveler. Please ignore this post or, if you have the power to do so, please delete it from the forums.
  21. When they released Nuka World, they made it so you can get addicted on Nuka-Cola. I want this removed. I've been playing the whole game up to this point drinking the stuff left and right, but now I can't so much as drink one bottle of it without being immediately addicted and my follower getting angry. Can someone please make a mod to remove this?
  22. Holy-moly-string-cheese-mahony, somebody actually made it on their own completely regardless of this forum but still proper and lore friendly for Special Edition. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6378/?
  23. I know this is necroing, but a user by the name of nmbradshaw is (or at least has) working on the idea on their own. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/485454/?tb=images&pUp=1 It's been a bit since he's posted any images, so I don't know if it's still happening.
