  1. So does some of you guys have working skyrim now? because this thread is not that active than before anymore
  2. LA Noire works okay after I reset the clock back to normal. Although Skyrim still suffers BSOD, I have to underclock my gpu below normal to play it.
  3. Now I'm experiencing BSOD on L.A Noire, probably because I overclocked it to the max. Why I'm saying this is because temperature counts when BSODs happen. I guess.
  4. http://www.gamefront.com/nvidia-releases-its-skyrim-tweak-guide/ I don't know if it works though since I'm an ATI user.
  5. Well you could try lowering the graphics then using Afterburner to max the fan speed then update your ati driver to 11.11c and use the ENB patch 8, well in my case, it worked, although graphics look crappy, will wait until the patch comes out.
  6. Me too, just shared the info if someone could get the game working with enb patch set to true, worked for me for a while then I had a Blue Screen of Death, rebooted, then its cousin Black Screen came. I really hope this gets patched.
  7. The ANTIBSOD enb patch (patch 7) actually works if you change the value of ANTIBSOD from false to true in the enbpatch.ini included with the file, don't forget to download the other dll's Boris posted at the top of his download page and please, read the readme before doing anything else. The reason why ANTBSOD is set to false by default is because that it takes up performance. EDIT: This is a possibility not a certainty.
  8. I'm using the EBNSeries patch 6 (without enabling the memory reduction feature) Latest ATI Catalyst drivers (or should be anyway, Device Manager shows Version 8.911.0.0) I also have the 4GB patch in my skyrim directory but I am launching through steam so that shouldn't matter. What patch are you on? 1.1 or 1.2?
  9. I have tried this after coming home from work, and it seems to work for me (Got the problem 100+ hours into the game when opening/using the map). But keep in mind that I did not have time for more extensive testing. Others are reporting problems with this fix (low fps), for some it works. Worth a try in my opinion. Here's my rig: Intel Core 2 Quad 2,4 GHz Win 7 Pro x64 6GB RAM 2GB AMD Radeon 6970 with 11.9 drivers (11.11b didn't work either) OCZ Vertex 3 SSD 120 GB Don't wanna cheer too soon, but thanks Falthos for posting this! Glad to hear we have more success with this! I'll post my setup so that we can compare rigs and see if its specific ATI cards that this fix works on. Win 7 Ultimate x64 Phenom 2 Deneb 3.2Ghz 4 GB DDR2 800 RAM HIS ICE-Q TURBO 6870 with latest catalyst 750 GB 72000 RPM Sata HD 750W Corsair PSU Can you tell me what patches, fixes, or drivers you were using?
  10. And now I experienced my first crash that requires reset after patching to 1.2, great. Played for a good number of hours, though.
  11. So wait, was it crashing before you installed 1.2 patch? Crashes like hell. I had to lower the graphics and cpu power to play the game without getting full system crash (probably bad coding when you get hot temps) which looks real crappy. Now, I can play it on high, I hope that I will never encounter something like it again. By the way, I'm using the ENB patch of Boris Vorontsov, you can try it too.
  12. Been playing Skyrim with the patch 1.2 now, fortunately, I didn't have a single crash even if my graphics are set to high. I'll report if I get a crash.
  13. I really hope that this will get fixed.
  14. Did one of you guys experienced a fix from 1.2 patch? What's wrong with bethesda? They prioritized the dead bodies in wedding but didn't actually fixed the game.
  15. Don't forget that it's still morning in the US, and the xbox patches have been sent in weeks ago. How unfortunate, it's already night time here. Wished they said back then what time the patch was going to be released, could use a countdown, too.
  16. I know that 360 patch is out in UK Good for 360 UK players, how about PC players?
  17. can i humbly ask what's your video card driver or CAP if your using any? Much appreciated.
  18. It will. But be aware that it might not help at all. Ah, too bad. I guess I was lucky it worked for me, then. Too bad for me too, apparently the patch didn't work for me, back again to crappy graphics set to low to play this game..
  19. Can another person try this fix? Much appreciated.
  20. I tried going to 70%, but I still crashed like 5 minutes in. I didn't turn the graphics down, or play in window mode... so idk. You could try lowering your graphics as low as possible but it's okay if you have a high draw distance so things dont just pop out of your face. Plus, try this http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=134 because it's a common fix for CTD, if 70% won't fix you, try going under it, 60% worked for me. Still, this is NOT an exact and sure fix, we're still waiting for the real one that Bethesda will release on the 28th (or sooner, I hope) EDIT: This is a temporary fix for CTD's and GPU failing, just saying if someone would say my post is only about CTD's I'm not having a CTD problem... I know that, it's just common that after you find a way to fix your GPU crashing and play, there's a tendency that while playing a CTD can occur, that's why I also added a CTD fix.

  22. Of course it did. There is no "fix" guys. Wait for the patch or ask for your money back. Fortunately, I tried to lower my CPU further to 60% plus lowered my graphics with the draw distance set to high and it worked, been playing for some time now.
  23. After 6 hours of playing the game, it finally crashed, the 70% CPU failed me.
