  1. In response to post #37054710. #37054840, #37056245 are all replies on the same post. the link to nexusmods.com/Releases ..... does not open for me, saying something like nmm.nexusmods.com refused connection ... " Edit: After several attempts, the download eventually opened ....
  2. Thank you both very much for this tip
  3. Thank you Dark0ne for addressing that issue and giving opportunity to discuss. Before I purchased a premium membership, I had had my ad blocker deactivated on Nexus, being aware that one cant't run a site like this free for users without any ads. In case that ads were too intrusive (loudness, sound, vids etc.), I activated my ad blocker temporarily. It had been my decision on my own descretion to do so or not, to surf on Nexus or not, accepting ads or not, taking chances as mentioned in this discussion or not - no one forced me to do that or not. Anyway, as I had been a beneficiary from this site for years I eventually purchased a premium membership and I'm still convinced that it has been worth it.
  4. Thank you. That's strange to me. I cleaned/emptied cache on Chrome and Firefox before I posted that. Btw. I realised on a modder's page that the profile image in the post section is the old one, while his image on the profile page (Nexusmod.com) was updated (mod pages for Skyrim and Fallout 4). Anyway, I'm following you advice and will try again. Thanks for your reply
  5. Either same issue again or still the same issue. New profile image (March 16th) was changed only on profile pages here (Forums), Nexus profile and the Nexus log in line; but not on the mod pages/posts.
  6. In response to post #35087280. #35125815, #35168160, #35181215, #35183765, #35186770, #35201575, #35279395 are all replies on the same post. Thank you J.O.D., that takes the cake. Learning never stops  That works for links as well btw.
  7. In response to post #31632815. I think, it's the way of being open for informing the community of any gaps and giving a pre-caution, instead of covering up anything as politicians tend to do. The Nexus team I think are not politicians. So far, thank you for informing us in time, regardless the possibility it could take effect on users or not. Better safe than sorry ...
  8. Thank you very much for updating NMM to make it work with FO 4
  9. Welcome .... The "bar has been layed high" already on Nexus site ;) , imo ..... The more, good luck and best wishes ...
  10. Sorry, I cannot understand any complaints and threats against the team, that provided the community with NMM in general and a new generation of NMM (0.60 +) in alpha version - for free and up to everyone's personal choice and own discretion to download and install - or not. Well, I, sorry for this, have not dared so far to try the 0.60+ version (sorry again, that I am not one of the feed back giving users), although Gopher provided us with an easy to follow vid tutorial, how to return to a previous NMM version. If the team had not provided us with a mod manager like FOMM or NMM at all, how would we have been able to put mods in an order, to make Skyrim and other supported games running as stable as possible generally and to install or uninstall mods in a very, very easy and comfortable way by clicking on some buttons, instead of going through a - sometimes huge - number of special/loose files in the data directory manually (e.g. SMIM)? Users, please, if you download a program for free, that provides you with an allegedly easy and comfortable way to install and uninstalll mods, do not blame the programmers for any damage of your game ... please, do not expect any individual solutions to your individual hard- and software configuration in connection with a vid/PC-game ... No one forced the team to provide us with NMM to make installation/uninstallation of mods easier, the more less, no one forced anybody to download and use a mod manager in alpha-, beta- or whatever-version... Dark One, thank you to you and the whole team for running this site (that supports a lot of other games beside Skyrim) ...
  11. Thank you very much to you and the team for both new sites
  12. In response to post #27629265. #27638305, #27646975, #27656345 are all replies on the same post. Hi Roachbait, thank you for this post  Seems that I am not the only "dinosaur" here with the same experience as you described here ;) - but at least represented with about 2%. I also remember times, game data were saved on audio cassettes and must be loaded on a C 64 before you could play the corresponding game - that was in the mid 80s as far as I remember - something young adults or colleagues of mine at work cannot imagine ;) They cannot even imagine life without cable or satelite tv, the more less tv not running round the clock with 3 or max 4 channels ... ;) Anyway, the results are most interesting for me. Big thank you to BlindJudge for running this survey and for taking the huge task that now lies before him to assess and implement the results and suggestions he got. May you do well, BlindJudge, good luck.
  13. Great improvement concerning the upload of pics, thank you. :-)
  14. Drawing a line, yea, athough that might be hard to do so. It is more worth now to focus on re-establishing the fine athmosphere we had had in this community before that debate began.

Hi MannyGT, I fully second this and your previous post. I checked the endorsement rate for some other mods - the same 5 to 10 % maximum (?????). After installing and running a mod, it takes a minute or 2 for returning to the modder's site and just say "thanks for your work" and maybe some thoughts on it, especially if one keeps it installed, because he/she likes it. All that is a small and humble gesture in return and in comparison with the time and work a modder invested to make a mod and share it with the community to enhance and improve the game for all and - for free. And the best, doing so as a user does hurt in any way - I tried that myself.
  16. Modders that share their work actually deserve a kind of reimbursement imo, hobby or not. If that was compulsary I would wonder, how many mods that enchance and improve my game could I actually afford? Apart from that I always would buy the cat in the bag referring to a refund deadline of only 24 hrs - except modders their work I already know. On the other hand a purchase system would (as mentioned here earlier) bear the risk of and give the incentive for abuse to the detriment of the authentic modders.Their work and achievements could and would be stolen and were stolen already. That is the dilemma imo. I think that the new system the Nexus team are working on is the approppriate way to solve that issue and I hope and wish that it will take the effect as intended.
  17. I have not experienced any issues with NMM when installing/uninstalling mods since v.O.44.1 (FO3, FONV, Skyrim) and earlier/older :-). That applies for the current version as well. Thank you to the team for this fine "tool" - for free .....
  18. Thank you to the Nexus team for their hard and great work and the fun you have provided us/users with for years.
  19. Hi, speed as "felt" is fine. Speed measured, well, please, assess yourself as a professional (forum link). Nothing to complain on anything from my point ...
  20. Thank you to the team for the new great features like "endorsement reminder" (I am sorry concerning the mods I forgot to endorse after downloading) and the possibility to choose servers (location) for download.
  21. In response to post #15575285. Hi, a scan does not take much time and does not prevent you from any other activities at the same time. Nothing to loose .... ;-)
  22. Hi, most important to me, that you/the team inform the users unreservedly. That applies for your "security advice" as well, imo (security has not been and will not be "convenient" and therefore it often is negligented - I do not exclude myself in this point :-( ). Thank you.
  23. In response to post #15380140. Hehehe, "SO EASY A 60 ..... ", thank you Sir .... ;-)
  24. Hi, just to let the team know: Updating from 50.1 to 50.2 was very easy, self explaining (imo) and without any problems (on my machine). Uninstalling procedure for the previous version started automatically when starting the .exe file (no manual uninstallment neccessary) after that, installment of latest version was "fool proof". As mentioned earlier, if you want to keep your previous configuration and file paths, just click "no" when you are asked, if you would like to remove the previous configuration files (same procedure concerning this point as for the 44+ versions - as far as I remember) .... "As usual" - like for the previous versions as well ("documented on my machine" since v 44.1): I have not experienced any problems so far with all the NMM-updates ... :-) Again, thank you to the team :-)
  25. Thank you to the team! The NMM v 50.1 is great improvement for users - imo. After I updated from v. 49.7 to 50.1 following your "instructions" (kept all my preferances and have not altered any directory paths) the mod has run smoothly - so far ;-).
