Are pirates in this game as quest-related NPCs or enemy factions? I think we know at this point that sailable ships aren't in, but there was interest awhile back in whether pirates are in the game at all. Is there any info on this yet?

I'm not going to conduct digital forensics on supposedly leaked images from a game that releases in a week. I know all kinds of things are leaking from the review copies and elsewhere. As for sorting what's true from what's not, I'll leave that to those who can't wait a few days. I think we can agree on that.

Also, I don't believe anything is confirmed until it's either officially confirmed by Bethesda or in a review by a major publication. Even then, a reviewer can get things wrong. I guess what I'm saying for the 'confirmation' topics is: I'll believe it when I see it, and you should too. Don't believe something just because someone posts a few pictures, hasn't everyone heard of Photoshop?

If we're mentioning things that should be mentioned at least once.... Then I'd just like to give a shout out to how awesome a Berserk mod would be.

You'll have no problem making Skyrim look very impressive on your laptop. As for maxing out all the settings in the game, I think we'll have to wait and see just how powerful a system needs to be do that.

Not necessarily as impossible as you might think. Knights of the Old Republic was what I used at the time, and it worked fantastically well. That was six years ago now, and there are times when I feel she's become more of a gamer than I am.

The nature of the NPC you're talking about is one where I think the location where he found him/her is not as much of a spoiler as you may think it is.

As he said, it's been a busy month. I think that's true for pretty much everyone, especially the folks over at Bethesda! So, let's give them all a break, eh?

It's a tough business in some ways, but there's no doubt it's fun too. I've seen both sides, and being involved in making games sometimes isn't fun for many of the same reasons. No doubt there will be a few heavily critical reviews of Skyrim and the reviewers will have to deal with all of the mad fanboys, meanwhile the developers will have to deal with bad reviews. But, I don't think any of us would be involved if part of us didn't still love it, I know I still do. :thumbsup:

I agree with you there. I don't see why they didn't just make these animations optional.
