  1. Good thread. I was going to post something similar as a new thread but figured someone would be discussing it already. So far a lot of things posted here have helped me considerably, so thanks for everyone showing tips and such. Also, a general rule for faces is that masculine faces tend to be oval-shaped while feminine faces are shaped like an upside-down egg. (Most of you know this already)
  2. When I first played Oblivion...wow. The opening cinematic started, and then I saw his face...Uriel Septim. Immediately I thought "wow, something is amazingly off about this guy's face." So I get into the character creation and this is the first time I've done the slider thing for adjusting facial features. My character looked HORRIBLE. But how much so in comparison to the rest of the NPC's in the game I had yet to find out. Meeting Uriel in person I recall laughing a bit because he looked like a cave man with downs. Roaming around the towns it was more of the same. Round faces, mongoloid features...me running around with a full helmet on because I couldn't bear to look at my own face...Also the god damned psychic guards. I still don't have any issues with the leveling system. The landscapes and all looked amazing coming fresh from Morrowind. The equipment scaling however is just pathetic. I was running around in steel armor with a silver sword and everyone would be attacking me in mithril or something. Damnit! Also the spells cost an absurd amount of mana. I also loved all three of the voice actors. Ah well, at least I don't have to worry about cliff racers anymore. I even fist-pumped when I heard the rumor of some saint who drove them off Vvardenfell. So yeah, there were many other issues and things that I did enjoy, but this is the stuff that stands out to me. Since then I modded this game to hell and back, which actually made it playable for any amount of time without me groaning or screaming obscenities at the town guards.
  3. Sorry if this is a necropost, but I just have to know if any more work is being done on this, or if it has been released.
  4. I like it, and I have been looking for similar mods.
  5. Yes, but where? What mods? Links would be very helpful.
  6. Bumping in hopes someone can help... :whistling:
  7. (I know some of this already exists, I just need help finding it.) I'm an avid Steam Punk. I find the whole genre to be absolutely amazing. So, you can imagine my slight disappointment when I searched through hundreds of pages worth of mods to only find the "Manhunter" weapon.(http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=91209&hl=manhunter) It's a great gun, and looks wonderful. But I need more. Here is an example of a Steam Punk prop I made myself using spare parts lying around. I hope it kind of gives people an idea of what Steam Punk is if they've never heard of it before. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll184/perfectdunce/Picture23.jpg Here is another example that is NOT mine. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc108/bluegargoyle/Steampunk/3gunrifle.jpg Things I'm looking for aesthetically: 1. Victorian era detailing. Lots of extravagant patterns and engravings. 2. Brass, polished wood textures. 3. The plasma gun is a good example of a steampunk rifle, and so is the Plasma pistol. They just need a retexture (which I fail miserably at) to make the metal parts a brass color. 4. Clothing; Victorian era, brazing goggles with extra doodads. Like I said, I'm sure that these already exist somewhere here. I just haven't been able to find any of this stuff. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  8. Update: Now my characters don't have bodies. What the hell.
  9. I've tried downloading it again. I tried uninstalling the game, all the files, and trying again... It's not working no matter what I try. Also, my OBMM doesn't seem to want to recognize any of the archives I try to load up. It recognized ONE, but then it stopped working, and I had to delete EVERYTHING and uninstall EVERYTHING to stop the problem. I'm not a stupid person, I can figure most things out rather easily. But for some reason, something as simple as copy-pasting the texture, mesh, and .esp files into the data folder turns into a flipping disaster. It's like trying to pour a bowl of cereal and having it catch fire. :verymad:
  10. :wallbash: I've been at this for hours. I modded Morrowind all the time. For some reason, Oblivion wants to drive me insane. Right, here's the deal; I downloaded ren's full beauty pack and hair mod. I got the hair mod working quite well. The race mod, is coming up as an "invalid file" on the data screen. What could be causing this? I'm trying to use OBMM to load the files, and I honestly have just begun trying to figure the thing out. I try reading the readme.txt but all I get is a screen full of "?(%(!)!))&^##>>><____---___))((+++))" and so on. Utter, illegible...moonspeak, I guess. It's infuriating. I got HGECBody_v1dot21 and the Ren beauty pack hair to work...but not the race mod. What am I doing wrong? What is the RIGHT way to do this? I obviously did something right...but I did the same thing for something else and it was wrong... I'm really about to lose it, here...
  11. Would you of had a Youtube account of the same name by any chance? there was a Perfectlydunce on there a while ago, just curios
