  1. As someone who released a handful of fairly low-effort mods, I feel like the bar for Mod Author is a bit low, but thanks for the ad-free browsing.
  2. In response to post #73638608. The new one being on-screen all the time is a huge improvement, it means you don't have to scroll all the way up to the top of the page to start a new search. Now they just need to improve their search so that you don't have to already know the name of the mod you're looking for before you search for it.
  3. In response to post #69166901. #69179571, #69184646, #69187881, #69195716 are all replies on the same post. Thanks for the reply, Napoleon, I appreciate the work you, Excellentium, and the Nexus staff have done to put this together.
  4. Will there be a more open screenshot contest any time soon? The Division 2's photo mode has given me a few gems that I thought would fit this theme, but the games were limited to BethSoft ones.
  5. I appreciate getting the yearly review and roadmap, especially now when Nexus is going through some pretty drastic changes (Vortex and mod packs are kind of a big deal). Keep up the good work, y'all.
  6. I use Project Nevada, which incorporates all that functionality, but my problem is just that it doesn't produce interesting characters, they just all start to blend together by maxing out all the skills and getting all the perks. What I'm looking for isn't a way to increase the level cap, but rather mods that make it so you have interesting decisions to make with your increased level cap. I guess the thread title is a little misleading, but I thought I was fairly descriptive of what I was looking for in the actual post.
  7. With all the megamods floating around these days (FNC, BBD, TF) what are the best mods that provide interesting epic leveling (beyond level 50)? FNV has a problem where at higher levels your characters tend to become really samey, masters of everything, and I'd like to avoid this. Ideally, there'd be something that adds balanced high-level perks and something that adds interesting effects to skill levels over 100.
  8. The mug and hats is a good place to have your logo, don't think it would really make for a good t-shirt because of the simplicity of the design (maybe on a left-chest, but not a full front/back). I really like the idea of having community artists submit game- and modding-related art to the Nexus store for shirts, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the artist.
  9. Having an odd camera/animation issue here, can't figure out the cause of it. When I draw my bow, in first person it's way off to the right side of the screen, and the arrows fly off well to the right of the crosshair. In third person the arrows are only slightly off center, but they are still off. I've tried reinstalling FNIS and XP32MSE as those are the only animation/skeleton mods that I have installed that would affect that, but to no avail. 10. Accidentally ran the launcher, what do I need to do to repair my install so that NVSE and JIP LN work properly again? I set up my install some time ago, so I've forgotten which install process I used. I'm using ENB+4GB Patcher+NVSE. I read somewhere about the launcher messing up certain INI files if you didn't set them to read-only, I just don't remember which ones they are. I verified cache integrity to get a new EXE, then reran the 4GB patcher, but something seems to still be wrong with my install; I'm getting error messages about needing to install JIP LN v29 or higher even though I have it installed. Besides that, though, all my NVSE plugins seem to be working just fine on the surface. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  11. The STG-44 was one of the first weapon mods on the Nexus for FO4, maybe you could get in touch with that mod author and back port it to NV?
  12. I loved how to get Hangman's Alley you have to assault it and then clean it up to use it after you've conquered it, I was wondering if there were any mods that made it so that more settlements were occupied by hostile forces with fortifications and such. You know, so that you don't have to go the Nuka-World option and build up your own settlements then conquer them.
  13. With the close of first semester on the horizon, I was looking at revisiting FO4 modding, specifically an older mod of mine called Emergent Properties which allows you to construct complete weapons from loose mods that you have lying around. My initial implementation of this was by only allowing the players to construct base weapons because I didn't want to flood the crafting menu with recipes for every possible variation of a weapon. I was wondering if with the release of F4SE, anyone had managed to make a dynamic crafting menu system that only shows you recipes for which you have either one or all the ingredients for, reducing the need for more and more subcategories in the crafting menu systems?

  15. Far too much wasted space for my liking. One of the things that I enjoyed about Nexus was that it was rather dense, so you didn't have to waste so much time scrolling around. In particular, I find the large ad space and spaced-out header at the top of the main pages particularly annoying, as I basically have a to scroll down a full screen height before I get to a mod's description (the content that I actually want to view). This is a trend that I see in newer webpages, like the latest YouTube redesign, and I don't really care for it. It's fine to have a little space around the text on your navigation buttons, but is it really necessary to have them be that big?
  16. In response to post #49980317. #50001302, #50005337 are all replies on the same post. Because the whole point of this software is that you never have to install things manually. Not that manual installation is a problem for most, but the aforementioned option would be great for keeping things simple for the less tech-savvy users among our number.
  17. This ad is on most pages I open and auto-plays sound without me interacting with it. Sometimes it fails to fully initialize so there's no way to use the Twitch widget to even silence the sound. It appears in the header ad slot. Hope this helps, I'm getting rather tired of listening to MOBA gibberish while browsing the Nexus. EDIT: The ad also doesn't have the standard Nexus ad reporting button, as it might be covering it up, hence the post in this forum.
  18. In response to post #45879770. #45892860 is also a reply to the same post. I think that there's a variable for touch spells that determines the "touch" range. Mechanically the spells use the touch coding but they don't have the range limitation that the game's traditional touch spells do.
  19. Thank you for providing the guidelines at the bottom on how to properly report a "bad ad" that blocks content. I sent you a PM a while back about one that I was getting served on every single page I viewed and ended up switching my adblocker on for Nexus again because of it. This article has inspired my confidence in your site again, and I'll turn on ads again, until I can afford the Lifetime Premium or Supporter.
  20. And here I was thinking that I was the only one who found Witcher 1 unplayable because of it's half-assed combat system. So glad I made the decision to just skip it and move on to 2 then 3, I almost missed out on one of the greatest RPGs of all time.
  21. Trying to make it so that all the pipe weapon mods that use the same model (but are different OMODs) use the same MISC item as part of a STANAG project that I'm working on. Anyways, I have it so that creating the mods on the weapons will give the same MISC item, but for some reason when removing the mod from the object I can't then use said MISC item to reattach the weapon mod to the gun, I just have the option to construct a new one. Looking at the MISC items, they don't seem to have any kind of keyword that ties them to specific weapons, and the COBJs just reference the OMOD for all of their information, so I have no idea what I'm missing here. Attached is a ZIP containing the ESP, if you want to look at this yourself.
  22. Huh, thought I checked for that, evidently I missed the co_muzzle_null when I was digging through the files. Thanks, haha.
  23. Here you go. I've got a few other things bundled with it, was going to see if I could extend the STANAG thing into full weapon disassembly, but still can't seem to figure out how to get it working.
  24. I'm using ap_gun_mag, trying to make a sort of STANAG system for FO4, where you can take the same magazine and move it between a set of different weapons chambered in the same caliber.
  25. Millenia, FadingSignal (ask about his music if you interview him), Arthmoor, maybe some of the Skywind/-blivion development heads? Oh, and Trainwiz. Can't forget about Trainwiz.
