I'm torn between two sides in this debate. I think requiring someone to prove that they are qualified to be a parent before allowing them to conceive is a wonderful idea... but who is qualified to determine their qualifications? I have no answer for this...

To a certain extent, we're all results of mind control really. Though we claim to be free we all answer to someone, follow someone's rules or strive to be accepted and approved by someone else.

If the Nexus was a city I'd obviously be the local entertainer, telling stories, reading poetry and singing. No dancing, though, since I'm too clumsy.

This sounds incredibly interesting, KFBD, like The Manchurian Candidate, and I wish I was a psychologist who could answer your questions. Perhaps you could look up the credits for that movie, both the remake and the original versions, and find some leads in whatever research the creators of the film might have done.
