  2. PC versions rule! They rule!

    Hi! Welcome, fellow newcomer!

    Hey!

wow, thats pretty rude."fix it". the problem was on your end,not the sites.bye I had exactly the same problem when I tried to join at first, but I believe Dezdimona's concise assessment of the situation is accurate. The problem is not in this site. Furthermore, a word of friendly advice; though I've not been a member for very long, I've quickly learned that the very intelligent community here will not for long tolerate rude, insulting attitudes. And I would certainly strongly advise against being disrespectful toward any Premium Members or Admins.
  6. Greetings, fellow gamer girl! I'm new too, been a member less than a month, but so far everyone I've communicated with here has been wonderful. You're going to like this place.
  7. *Hands across mug from Aunt May's ceramic phase. The far wall, by all means Herculine. So, help me to follow, do you often make use of that site? Is it an especially large and popular one? Did you find that image by happenstance? Are we soon to take up the fight against them? Perhaps Vagrant0, Lisnpuppy, and Jim_Uk were onto something by not taking the image very seriously? Anyway, as mentioned, women form a growing percentage of the gaming world. I wonder if someone like Jade Raymond of Ubisoft will manage to shift how the combination of females and gaming is perceived. I say this with strong regard to the impressive commitment she and Ubisoft have received from the government of Canada. And considering how desperate our prime minister is to establish a high-tech canadian portfolio, she may well come to cause more internal change than one would otherwise expect. -Kitten I found the Pyzam.com and the notorious image by accident while Googling for something entirely different. That's the problem with Google... sometimes you're led to see things you don't necessarily want to. But I can't in good conscience blame the search engine for that. I'm an adult with the ability to choose whether or not I click on an internet link not knowing where it might lead me. In regards to taking up the fight, as I wrote earlier I'm really not trying to start a revolution here. I opened this discussion/debate to find in this community a friend or two, even if they do not share my opinion entirely. I think it says a lot about a person in how they comment on things like this.
  8. Thank you for lending me your mantle!
  9. I wanted so much more. I am left in darkness alone, Abandoned, My body used and cast aside, Hot and wet. I yearned for love and passion, Received passion to my fill, 'Til achingly I could bear no more, Yet I thirst for love still. Lying in the wake of expectations Unfulfilled, Tears dampen my still-hot cheeks, For I am alone again. I wanted so much more.
  10. (Please note that anything I post in this thread is not intended to compete with anything previously posted, but instead is intended to compliment [complement?] that which has already been submitted.) ;) Dezdimona, your poetry has inspired me to write, and I shall write another!
  11. Velvet 'gainst velvet, Silk 'gainst silk, Softness wrapped in softness, Warmth wrapped in warmth. This is the essence of love. Two hearts meet, Drawing two bodies together, Each heart blind to the physical, Seeing only the heart for which she yearns. This is the essence of love. Two souls intertwined, Ne'er to willingly part; Two lives becoming one, To fulfill all their mortal days. This is the essence of love.
  12. Thank you so very much for the many warm welcomes!
  13. Google phrases like: "ElricM Morrowind" "Korana Morrowind" "Princess Stomper Morrowind" and you will find sites and links to sites where Morrowind mods are still around. Filefront also still has a large collection of Morrowind downloads. Since I haven't visited recently myself I can't comment on how much new content is on these sites, only that they do still exist.

Malachi is clinically insane but he's also correct. Welcome to the NEXUS! If you need any help let me know and i'll do my best for ya. Thanks! I really am feeling welcome here! :thanks:
  15. There could be no TESIV without TESIII. I still play Morrowind and still play around with mods for it. I have a slower computer on which Morrowind runs flawlessly, and every time I enter a melee in Oblivion and the FPS markedly drops I wish that this time around Bethesda had not tried so hard to impress us. There will always be a home for all of us on that island, I believe. I don't smoke a pipe, but I do have fun levitating!
  16. I do take pride in who I am, thankfully, and I have learned to make fun of myself as well as you may often hear me comment on my body shape though I suppose I'm really not as round as I think I am. But the media and society it seems places such an importance on particular appearances for females (and males) that I still have those days where I feel inadequate. I don't believe that I am overly sensitive or easily offended, per se, but having just joined this community at the time that I saw this picture my first thought was that I should share it and get feedback. Yearning to be accepted, I suppose, and wanting to be an active part of the community as opposed to a member who just logs on and downloads other people's work. But I thought the picture deserved some sort of comment, that as a female I could not allow it to pass me by without saying something. Perhaps a little righteous indignation there, as I still maintain the opinion that the picture is an insult to my gender and intelligence. But I suppose I could find it amusing, given time. After all, it could have been much worse, much more tasteless, I suppose. Thank you to everyone participating in this thread! :thanks:

Somehow I've ascended to Rookie status already?
  18. No, I'm from the U. S. , which I suppose is why I feel such stereotypes should have disappeared long ago. I guess that's really why I posted the picture, to ask "Does anyone really still believe this?"
  19. Everyone's opinion matters in some way, big or small. (Or at least it should, I believe.)
  20. Thanks for all the feedback. I've taken the suggestion to put this on the debate forum instead. We'll see how that goes...

    Girl Gamers

Should I be offended by this, or am I just a big crybaby?
  22. Very retro, but I like the concept as I do play some older games too. Are you working on this alone? I'm going to keep an eye on this... :D
  23. I really wasn't trying to start any debates or controversies. I was just asking if anyone shared my opinion. Since I'm new I was just trying to find a few friends. I hope I haven't made any enemies in the trying! o_O
