Sounds like a hardware issue on your end since tens of thousands of people use ENB and google is not littered with posts of it causing them to lose sound. If your sound card is built onto the motherboard you could be having a resource limitation causing the sound to get switched off when ENB pulls memory from the system the vanilla game does not. Installing a hardware monitor that logs the ram usage is what i would do first.

I am not 100% sure how Windows 10 has the C drive setup but can you go to your C drive and sort the folders by date modified? If they upload a micro patch it should show the date of the last time your windows folder was changed/updated. Have you tried other games to see if they still run fine and when the game crashes does it just kick you back to the desktop or does it freeze up? -

I am not sure as i am still using windows 7 but ive seen a number of people talking about recent windows 10 updates causing game crashing issues. Try deleting your ini files and letting the game make new ones if you have not yet. Fallout 4 clearly is not the issue or there would be countless posts like your own so you need to figure out what has changed on your end to cause the problem but id bet $$$ its Windows 10. -

Constant C++ Runtime error. Unable to fix. Please help.
Sleepytime replied to nagrom2608's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Download the 2013 and 2017 versions of vcredist and install both and see if that helps. Windows updates and installing other games can bork your vcredist version so that Skyrim becomes cranky. Another thing is if you are using a huge amount of animation replacers that seems to cause C++ errors as well. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads -
When the game crashes do you get a windows pop up about C++ or anything?

Nah Steam and NMM are not the cause of any of your problems or you would see mass numbers of posts like your own since both apps are used by millions of people. If you are using any texture mods you might wanna run Optimizer and set the texture resize to 1024 since many mod authors love to make their texture mods look "fancy" by using large memory sapping size textures. I reduced my Fallout NV texture folder by 9gigs by running Optimizer set to 2048 size textures and it made the game run butter smooth compared to before (my game is very heavily modded and is stable as a rock). Link to the utility below. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46074/ Video showing how to use it, it works for Skyrim and the Fallout games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiDJjCZSHhM

To much you do not describe, like is the game freezing up or crashing to desktop or is your PC locking up altogether, to really give you any sort of pinpoint answer. I would suggest getting your PC checked out to make sure it is not overheating and is not suffering from malware and any other hardware related woes. Sorry to not be more help but the issues you are having are with your hardware or operating system and not a Fallout New Vegas problem in general.

Trouble deactivating Poco Bueno on FOMM
Sleepytime replied to MonkeyKev556's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Easiest thing to do is unzip Poco Bueno and look over its file contents and just manually delete the files by hand from your NV data folder, i never use a mod manager to install basic stuff like texture packs and always keep a backup of your mods as you cant trust they will be here on the Nexus tomorrow (mod author gets banned, mod author has a tantrum and removes his mods and so on). -

Windows 10 is garbage, go back to Windows 7. It is only allowing you use of 4gb of ram and that simply is not enough. -
How to fix female sultry follower voice/dialogue?
Sleepytime replied to neutral427's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You can change what voice she uses in the Creation Kit, if you open the CK and select the NPC in question the drop down list for voice options will be on the first tab. Pick YoungAndEager or one of the more commonly used ones that includes followed quotes. This video will show you everything you need to know -- 1 reply

The new site style is very snappy and responsive but its visuals leave much to be desired.

not a fan of the new design and will likely be visiting a lot less because of it, so much for that life time membership

killing General Tullius before Season Unending
Sleepytime replied to lucifer1978's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I just looked in the CK and there is two versions of him as tnu said and the normal everyday version of the General is flagged as essential so unless you change that you wont be killing him before you start the civil war. -
Please stop randomly disabling notifications
Sleepytime replied to Sleepytime's topic in Site Support
I was not aware that the notifications had such a effect on the site. Would it be possible to add a way to make us aware the notifications are not enabled so we know to go looking for possible updates or posts by authors we are following? Perhaps have the notification envelope icon change color when its not being updated?
