  1. Current exchange rate-- 1 us dollar= 5.7 Danish Kroner.

So, a 60 dollar game in the US should equal about 345.00 in Kroner. If you get it in Denmark for 100.00 Kroner, then you are getting the bargain.

I loved Denmark when I was there.

Will you be purchasing Skyrim all over again?

  2. Bethesda Softworks @Bethblog 45m

Skyrim's Legendary Edition - featuring all the game's content - releases in June http://oak.ctx.ly/r/4d2n

Well, it seems to have actually been legit, however the "box art" we saw in the leak was far from the mark. The actual art looks pretty cool, in my opinion

The retail price for Skyrim: Legendary Edition will be $59.99 USD. What do you guys think about this? Will you be purchasing Skyrim all over again?

  4. If you level a certain skill to hundred and only invest 10 perks into that skill, then when you take it to Legendary you will get 10 perks back to place in other skills that you would like to perk-up even more. So, this allows for the use of what I like to call "Harvest Skills". Harvest Skills are skills that you have no use for for a certain character, so what you can do is level those skills, put perks into them, then harvest those perks to max out all your "major skills" that you have for your character. If you have a warrior, then it's possible to max everything like smithing, heavy/light armor, two/one-handed, and so forth.

That's just my 2 cents, though.

Lately when we talk about CTD the first thing that comes to mind is that they are caused by files esp, which often come into conflict with other mods (similars). Or esp born severely corrupted . Installing and uninstalling many mods during gameplay can also make the save game very polluted . It is essential to learn how to clean your save-game, whenever you install or uninstall a mod when you're playing. Instead of doing this, some people prefer to start a new game, because it has less work. There are mods that make cleaning save-games, but even so, this is a very delicate process and requires attention and knowledge on the part of the user. I personally never heard of accidents caused by in-game textures mods, just bugs caused by the absence of them. When no textures in the game, the NPCs and the whole scene turns blue. This makes the game very strange, but not enough to cause CTD at least it never happened here . A curious fact is that when you start the game, and soon after it closes, it means that some file esm is missing. Could be that you have deleted or uninstalled it accidentally. There may be mods in their list that still depend on them and not let the game work properly until you recover again the ESM. The solution is to make this mod (problematic) if unbind this ghost esm and find other masters for it, and be careful not to delete them also. It's normal to have mods that depend on multiple masters, but if one of these masters is accidentally erased it will be a problem. If you resolve to install mods that do something similar with another mod that you already have, you must choose which of these mods will need (be selective). Install many mods that do similar things in the game can cause conflicts and even corrupt it (the save-game). Take great care when dealing with these things.

Is this some type tutorial or advice for those having these problems? What exactly is the purpose of this? Are you experiencing any of these issues that you're having trouble correcting (doesn't seem so from what you've stated thus far). Just curious as to why you've posted all of this information.

  6. Also, to add too what Georgiegirl said above, list the file size of the current save you are using. Bloated saves are notorious for causing lagging, crashing and freezing. Also, post any and all mods you may have installed and be sure to use all the tools available such as NMM, WryeBash and Boss (to name a few) that may also help in fixing your game.

  7. You can also try installing the Unofficial Dragonborn Patch, which should clear these issues right up.

You can find the patch here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31083

Edit: Also, be sure too not have ANY mods installed that mess with the dragons, like Deadly Dragons for instance. I'm currently using Dragon Combat Overhaul and have yet to encounter a problem. Hopefully the Dragonborn patch that I linked above will solve your problem.

  8. You can also hit "F12" to take a screenshot via steam, unless you've changed the button for it. I personally like using steam's button because you won't end up capturing the screenshot confirmation, so you'll have a nice clean image. Oh and if it's not F12, then it's F11 or F10. I'm sure it's F12, though.

  9. No, you are not considered Daedric or of the Daedra. The Daedric Princes of Oblivion are the only Daedric Princes; there are also daedric creatures known as Daedra, generally.

The Daedric Princes were given that name during the creation of Mundus, the mortal realm.

    Lets start from the beginning:

A Padomaic being named Lorkhan envisions the creation of a new kind of divinity: a planet called Nirn. This realm will fulfill the urges of his sphere by serving as a construct that will allow him to achieve ultimate liberty. Aedra and Daedra

Lorkhan convinces the modern Aedra and other Anu-aligned spirits to give of themselves and aid in Creation. Mundus will serve as the new world's architect. A collection of prominent Padomaic spirits reject his proposals and decide to create worlds using only their own divinities, which became Daedric Princes.

  10. Sadly, this is not a bug. It's actually just apart of the game. Blame the engine, really. If you go into a cave and unsheathe your sword or bring up your hands while standing over a puddle of water, they'll emit the same "glow". It's been there since day one and has not been fixed. I've not clue what causes it, though.
  11. Hmmm, I would be more interested in having an entire game set in the province of Akivir for simple reasons: 1. Bethesda has never released a DLC that adds an entire province because it already takes years just to build and flesh out their current provinces that we've been too. I find that it would be better for us simply get more closure with skyrims' many plots that are left with loose, i.e. dealing with the thalmor etc.

  12. Here is a snippet of what BOSS does and why it is your very best friend when it comes to load order:

"BOSS is designed to assist mod users in avoiding detrimental
conflicts, by setting the correct load order for the plugins they have
    installed.

BOSS also provides thousands of plugin-specific
messages, including usage notes, Bash Tag suggestions, requirements,
incompatibilities, bug warnings and installation mistake notifications.
It supports the sorting of plugins ghosted by the Wrye *ash (Wrye Bash,
Wrye Flash, Wrye Flash NV, Wrye Smash) utilities, is highly
customisable, has been translated into multiple languages, and is simple
    to use.

Although BOSS recognises tens of thousands of plugins,
it is not a complete solution to load ordering issues, as there are many
more mods available. To properly place unrecognised plugins, a good
working knowledge of mod load ordering is still necessary, for which
some research and documentation reading will go a long way. See the
Introduction To Load Orders section of BOSS's readme for an overview.

While BOSS technically supports TES III: Morrowind, no mod plugins are recognised and no further support is planned. Morrowind users looking for an automated load order manager should consider using mlox instead.

    BOSS
also has an API that gives programmers access to almost all of BOSS's
functionality, plus more general load order management functionality
that greatly simplifies working with load orders across the supported
games. See the BOSS API Readme for more information on that."

Here is a link straight to the utility, you can find more information on how to use the utility there: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6

  13. Personally, Apocrypha has always been my most desired Daedric Realm of Oblivion to explore (thank you Beth!!!). I've always found Herma Mora (ancient name) to be the most fascinating daedra in TES lore, so now that we were able to visit the realm, I'm rather satisfied. I of course have no doubt that we'll be seeing more in either DLC for Skyrim, or future iterations of TES. I would much rather Bethesda's next DLC wrap up the dealings with the Aldmeri Dominion and taking the fight to them over in Hammerfell. We've never had an entire province as DLC, and considering each province takes years to craft, I highly doubt we'll be seeing ALL of the Hammerfell province if we even get to go there in the next DLC. In all honestly, Dragonborn does rather well of wrapping up the adventures of the Dovahkiin, so I wouldn't be to disappointed if they stopped here and instead went on to make another Fallout game or if not, another TES game that could expand upon the events after Skyrim; however, we do still have the issue with Skyrim not having a High King, the resistance still going on in Hammerfell against the Dominion and we also have a slight conundrum with lore; the Civil War. When playing throughout this major quest-line, we can pick two sides: The Empire or the Stormcloak Rebellion. One and only ONE of these will be recorded as actual lore. We still have yet to find out which of these will be considered the reality of what the civil war amounts to, and in my opinion they both branch out in two very different directions for Skyrim. Bethesda has some interesting lore-weaving to be doing, that's for sure.

  14. Question is, was the trademark up for renewal? Companies renew trademarks all the time without any plans to do something specific with them. and redguard is a trademark they would want to keep up because of the redguard race in the game. if Bethesda allowed the trademark to lapse then someone could include redguards in another game with all the same race traits that bethesda uses or make a game with the name and there would be nothing Bethesda could do about it legaly.

Personaly i wouldnt speculate anything on it since trademark renewal is a standard practice so companies do not lose the trademark. If Bethesda made a new trademark altogether then that would be something to wonder about.

Yes, trademarking is standard procedure, and the trademark 'Redguard' is up for renewal, however 'Redguard' was filed in 2011 for the first time. This is a relatively new trade mark that was filed around the time after Skyrim's release. The question we're all wondering is,"What will they do with it?" February marks the 2nd renewal of this trademark, so I just can't help but wonder what will come out of it.

  15. I thought I would post this for those that haven't heard the news about Bethesda renewing the trademark 'Redguard'. For those who don't know, there was an elder scrolls game released called The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard. Not everyone is really sure whether or not The Elder Scrolls Adventures is considered cannon. Perhaps small tales within the lore that really aren't substantial enough to be documented. On the other hand, we have the title 'Redguard' being renewed, which is a rather interesting thing since there is a big Hammerfell presence in Skyrim in the form of the Alik'r Warriors, the information of the resistance that they tell you about, Hammerfell still waging war against the Aldmeri Dominion, plus we have the cliffhanger at the end of the Civil War storyline. Think it's possible will be taking the fight to Hammerfell against the Aldmeri Dominion and finally seek closure in the next DLC?

    Thoughts and input welcome
