  1. I thought Honest Hearts is a very nice modder's resources! Sorta 'meh' as far as a DCL goes. I did have a real issue with the two paths available to be taken in the ending questlines. It seems the writers didnt take into consideration the Courior's perspective when writing the scripts for the questlines. When given the choice to flee or fight. All the arguements that they have the Courior using for either way never take the Mojave into consideration. Given the conflict that lays ahead for the Courior and the prospect of all the White Legs troops being added to the vast Legion. That should have come up somewhere in the dialog scripts.
  2. I am using Internet Explorer 8, 64 bit. And I have java updated and dont believe I am running any script blockers
  3. I am trying to change the description of a file I uploaded to Fallout New Vegas nexus and the button to save the changes isnt appearing in the browser window.
  4. my PIP Boy Redius doesnt work. I just stare at my hand. It requires an updated NVSE. I dont have save from before I loaded the Readius mod, so I'm going to have to wait. or update nvse http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/nvse_1_beta9.zip Is anyone using this yet? Is it working?
  5. new to Steam, and it may already be too late, but how do i not let the game get auto patched? Well, I figured it was a matter of right clicking the game and going to "properties" then "updates" and selecting the "do not automatically update" option. But that didn't seem to work for me. I was afraid that might happen. I never trust games that spend so much time pushing data back and forth during even the 'normal' operation of the game. That's why I have been playing offline. Didn't want to take a chance. One of my friends is having the same issues you are. Luckliy, he had it installed on his laptop as well. But, hadnt played the laptop for over a month. He is feverishly copying the old game files from there to his desktop, as I type!
  6. I was afraid of stuff like this. I, too, run a lot of mods and feared the new patch. So, been running steam in offline mode since I heard about the Monday drop date. Was gonna go into online mode and patch after the good folks behind NVSE got a new version out. But, after hearing about all this. I might just manually use my old, but semi-reliable, GECK to update the gear changes in a temp-mod and wait few more days before patching to see how all this plays out.
  7. If you want to add any Sierra Madre connection. As for as a 'planned economy' you could always add in Dead Money vending machines or something like them.
  8. Hmm. Laundry, gameroom, lounge, conference area, kitchen, theatre, classrooms. Just guessing. Not sure how you are defining 'Living Area' in this case. I have been waiting until you were closer to finishing before downloading this monster.
  9. Looking for a mod that would track the current location of any active travelling merchants. Also maybe it could also allow the player to look up the current amount of caps the various mearchants have.
  10. Yea, I saw that. Just wasnt sure if there was a way to do it without cheezing the health. Thanks!
  11. I have never voice acted in my life. But, I am all about supporting mods. Let me know what I need to do and I will help. [email protected]
  12. Sorry if this has been covered. I tried doing a few searches and couldnt specifically find this covered. Is it possible to make a melee weapon in GECK that doesnt require repair? Thanks for any help that can be provided.
  13. Someone has made an attempt at it. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37663
  14. Yea, there is bugginess about the Sierra Madre cards. This explains it better than I can. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41210
  15. Just a personal suggestion of for a future patch for your mod. Not all players are into the big audacious player homes. Perhaps making one of the villa locations a player home as well. Like one of the apartments that are above the shops that seem to always have the dresser with prewar sexy outfits... hehe
  16. Hehe. Lots of eager folks out here on the intrawebs with our fingers on the download buttons!
  17. Sorry to hear you are having troubles, GeeZee. Try not to let it get you too frustrated!
  18. Dont sweat the little 'big' thing, GeeZee. From the pics you've posted. It's a great job your doing. Besides. No one is gonna wanna spend time staring at it from a distance. They wanna get in there and PARTY!!
  19. Hmm, ok. Thanks! I'll break out my hammer and start banging away at it!
  20. I fine peice of work! I have avoided mods that modify the Strip in the past. Due to so many compatiblity issues. But, this will be a must have!
  21. Since I am still trying to crawl through modding before I walk. I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible. I have read about the method you described using a cell with a persistent NPC that is simply teleported to the player. From what I meagerly undestand, that doesnt lend itself to scalable items. And that is an important aspect of what I am trying to do. I want the summoned NPC to have the same look and weapon through the entire player level progression. But, to keep things balanced. The power of the items level up as the player does. As far as other scripts. That is the only script I am using. That script summons the NPC and I have a quest for dismissing the NPC.
  22. I am new to modding and can use any help folks can provide. I'm working on a script that uses a hotkey token to summon an npc to fight for the player. After many hours of trial and error. The hotkey function works. The npc will finally follow the player through doors and load screens. The scalable weapon and armor seem to be scaling and the npc actually get dead/unconscious when appropriately damaged. And I figured out how make the quest that will dimiss the NPC. Then I discovered something I didnt want to happen and after several more hours of keyboard banging and web surfing, I cant seem to get around. Here is a copy of the scrip: Scriptname SummonHollyScript BEGIN OnEquip Player.UnequipItem ActivateHolly 0 1 Player.PlaceAtMe Holly END BEGIN OnDrop disable markfordelete if ( Player.GetItemCount ActivateHolly < 1 ) Player.AddItem ActivateHolly 1 1 endif END Now, the problem is I only want the player to have one Holly out at any one time. As it stands. You can have as many Holly's out as your video card can handle. Hit the hotkey. Poof there is one. Hit it again and another. So on and so forth. It was kinda funny to see over twenty of them running around Quarry Junction blasting away willy-nilly. But, that wasnt my intention. If anyone can clue me in on how to make the script so that the player can only have one Holly at a time. It would be greatly appreciated.
  23. I know this sounds like the oldest line in the book. This request REALLY isnt for me. I am learning how to mod and have been messing about with a lot of weapon mods for fun. I told me friend that if he wanted any kinda custom weapon or weapon mods for the game. Just to let me know and I will make it work. Now, he is a really perv and very proud of it. Not seconds after I told him this. He perks up and askes for a gun that makes the target nude when they are hit. Since I have no idea how to do this. I figured to put it to the forums to see if anything like this has been, or could, be done.
