  1. I am trying to make a companion that has "companion" armor and a weapon that level up as the companion does. I am new to modding and GECKiness. I did some digging around in GECK and I found out how to make a 'leveled item container' and plug it into the npc. I successfully made and applied leveled armor and a leveled weapon for the NPC and got them to equip the gear and use it. Now comes the problem. To test out the leveling procedure. I made each weapon use a different impact set to easily see what weapon the companion is using at the time and made each armor a different skin to see what they are wearing. When I started to run tests. I discovered that the NPC would randomly use any of the weapons or armor it met the level requirement for. For instance. If the NPC was level 15. It would randomly use leveled gear that was level 15, 10, 5 or 1. I did some more looking at the online GECK stuff and found this page. http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Leveled_Item If the " iLevItemLevelDifferenceMax " option will fix the issue? How do I apply that? And if I do apply it. Is it just applied to a specific container or NPC? OR does it affect the game as a whole? And if it does affect the game as a whole. How would that impact game play? Thanks, in advance, for any help folks can give.

  3. Is Companion damage affected by difficulty? When the difficulty is raised the player takes more damage and does less? Is this figured purely on the player's perspective? Or does the difficulty actually raise the base damage that is being done by the MOB's in the game?
  4. I am trying to do a mod that adds rebreathing to the Ranger Patrol Armor Helmet. Try as I might, I cant seem to find that particular helmet in the GECK. It is the helmet that looks like the brown cowboy hat with the gas mask attached to it. I can find references to the Patrol Armor set as a whole. But, cant find the helmet by itself. I know it exists as a seperate peice because of finding it in the NCR safehouse in game. Any help would be appreciated!

  6. I haved downloaded the portable holo emitter and found it to be a fun mod to mess around with and it got me to thinking. Is anyone thought about, or is working on, a full hologram companion? Given that we know fully sentient AI's exists from FO3 and FONV. Something like a Dead Money version of The Doctor from ST: Voyager might make for a neat mod. I have no scripting knowledge myself and my attempts to do a novice version by converting the ed-e model and animation to a hologram has met with limited success.
