LE Psijic order [not a huge amount of work] [detailed request]
BobbyP92 replied to 666Matt666's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Sorry man, I'm no modder. I plan on becoming one but that's future talk. I do however already have in place overly ambitious plans myself for content, but it's uncanny how well this would complement my own story. If that day ever comes, I will message you haha. Again, for now, a great idea :) -
Wow. I haven't begun my personal modding journey yet but this would have been one of the ideas I liked. If i ever do complete something like this, you certainly won't be informed of it :/

This is a brilliant idea. -
So something similar to an arena? Also the arrogance in your comments :/ good luck finding help though

The only difference there is would be the 'I challenge you' dialogue. So if you're going to split hairs it's closer to being done than not. The 'generic npcs that will hunt you down' idea is the focus. Anyway if anyone wants to take this idea up they have some confirmed places for resources via the mods mentioned by me and Darthsith :)

Thank you for the information Darthsith and confirming some things I'd mentioned. And pointing out the glaring pessimism in some of the thread :)

You don't half like pulling numbers from nowhere kid :teehee:

This overhaul had an interesting enchantment system, one that does what you ask too. But note that is part of a larger project. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73094/? Not to discourage cdcooley at all, a smaller mod would be appreciated and preferred in some cases :)

Hi there guys :), I'd just like to get out the way that I am currently not a mod creator, nor will I be for some time, and also I haven't even used mods yet. However I take an interest in modding, and I have read/watched some tutorials. I've had an idea in my mind for a land mass mod for some time and I guess I figured the complexity of it would benefit from being conceptualised in something like sketchup first. So I faffed around for a few hours. http://postimg.org/image/qb69jshjv/ I then came across this question. Is it possible to take a basic model/wireframe drawing etc, and import it into the creation kit as a pseudo-template? I know you use a brush to paint the land normally, but for instances when you need to keep a complex shape and scale, is this doable? You can use the model as a guide of sorts then. More curiosity than anything, but later down the line if I get the chance to start making mods, this would help me greatly :). Thanks!

It's the fact that they have made 0 preparations, nor have they put facilities in place on bethesda.net to tackle or confront such issues. I'm sorry but when you're designing something like that, which potentially FACILITATES the distribution of stolen content yet doesn't even acknowledge an attempt to combat it in the very base design ... when they had months (and it wasn't difficult to predict as a possibility) then that just shows you how little Bethesda cares about the modders. Note, the one's who give their games the longevity. I just hope it doesn't kill a large chunk of the community off. Part of me really hopes they don't announce the skyrim enhanced edition or whatever it's going to be called, at least until they have protocol and commitments in place. Also thank you for the heads up mlee3141, I won't be able to play a modded skyrim for some time, but I will download your mod in preparation. Looks fantastic by the way :) please don't be put off by the state of current events!

Hi Jeedge, I was one of the people who uploaded it to a host site to pass download links on, to three or four people. Just got to rely on the community with that method. I was hoping you could help me with some information, I've not actually played with mods yet but I had it downloaded ready, but I had the .bsa file and the .esp (and read me), however they were different sizes to what you quoted. .bsa - 250mb, .esm - 18mb .... Is it likey I'm missing something? Thanks in advance, Rob

One person has already expressed interest. Besides, they wouldn't necessarily owe you announcement if they did. Fingers crossed I guess!

Let's hope you don't put them off.

Such a negative nancy! People already have done, no reason it can't be done again. Well, the guy has a point. I don't think it has been done before not that I know of. Well the sand of time mod has an encounter system that works with generic npcs, for different events, like sleeping etc, and can be customised I believe. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12452/? But also more specifically, the sinister seven: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63240/? Adds generic npcs which hunt you across the land (however not sure if they have classes or are all warriors etc). So the mechanics are there to be used and learnt from, and this type of system has been accomplished before. So again, I see no reason why a new iteration of this type of mod should 'take 500 hours' or cannot be done if someones decides they'd like to try  They don't repeatedly appear. It's just a quest mod. Ah ... well to be honest what's stopping a mod creator following the same method and adding the same npc at two stages or more stages? And seting their spawns a considerable distance from the player, or multiple spawns at different positions. All would create the same effect I imagine.

Good set of requests :)

Great way to look at it thelawfull!

Hey man! I saw your post the other week about feeling overwhelmed with modding sometimes. I have no experience myself and this is slightly off topic, but great to see that you feel motivated again! Thank you for looking at this request. And whatever you make in the end (even if nothing is released) I thank you for. I appreciate these things take time and can be draining :) Keep it up man.
-
Really? From what I gathered OP was asking for a set of random reoccurring spawns once certain level requirements were reached, granted the voice acting would take some time. Good idea, I've noticed this type of request (for both generic encounters and more unique ones) seems to gather interest :)
-
That's a massive undertaking ... also you still didn't explain how you would like the blessings to work

could you send me a link to the mod if you still have it. i had it from steam workshop back in the day and really liked it but i lost it when it was deleted. Hey man. To avoid spamming lofgren I suggest a protocol of sorts. He kindly sent it to me, and I to Tar. I will pm you it but then anybody wishing to download it after can get it in turn from you or Tar? It saves one user being inboxed or spammed then :)
