  1. Are you still working on this? Because this sounds great. Children that actually grow up and- tbh even more important for me - keep their personality (though Sissel's sister should stop the bullying gradually, especially when the father's influence is gone), be indivdual and their former life reflected in their behaviours...that would be awesome! I have never adopted any children, because I just can't ignore the personality change. It's okay if they're grateful and even adore the player who adopted them but they still need their individuality. I can't and won't adopt if they just end up some generic sweet child with the same personality. The sweet child routine might fit Lucia or Sophia, it seems quite close to their base personality, but anyone else would just be changed too much. And even Sophia and Lucia need a personality that reflects what they've learned through their struggles.
  2. OMG! This sounds absolutely amazing! I would love that. It does sound very difficult to realize though...feels like it could be DLC sized. Still, if at all possible, I'd love to see it. I'd even offer my voice for one of the NPCs ;-)
  3. I would love to see this! (LOL, I first thought Alucard, as in Hellsing's Vampire Alucard ;-))
  4. I didn't see whatever you first said, so no worries. I already don't attack any animals in-game, least of all canines, but they always manage to get hurt in some way or another. I really like a lot of what's possible in Skyrim, it would be sweet if I could play it without these reminders of what makes me sad in life. I'm a pretty different kind of person than normal, I'm not effected by certain things that make the majority squick, but I think we all have personal weaknesses. I hope nobody takes offense. I have no idea how you manage that. I do attack them, but more because they attack me. I hate having to kill the wolves especially. And the dragons. Which, yeah, that's the game, but still- I'd love if I didn't have to kill them. Why should we take offense? People like you that love animals and don't want to hurt them are far too rare (it is my opinion that even one person who wants to hurt animals/people is too much). Sure, it's a game, but what's wrong with not wanting to kill the animals there? I don't think you're abnormal or wrong (what is normal, anyway? ;-)). You're you. ("Don't be other people. Be yourself"). And it certainly isn't a weakness to have empathy and not to (want to) kill. It's quite the opposite: sometimes it would be far easier to just kill than stay your hand. In fact, people that enjoy hurting animals or people are abnormal/wrong/weak - excuses can and should be made in-game, but even there, there's a line one should not cross, in my opinion. Still, better live out fantasies in-game, where you hurt no one than out in the real world. That's what games are for, too. As to your specific problem, these mods do something else, but maybe what you want is included? You'd probably have to test it to be sure, but: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35008 (as you love canines, that one should be interesting either way as it adds a ton of dogs and variation in looks and behaviour) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10175 (that one is quite good in general. I think I had another, similar one at some point, but I don't now what it was atm; it aims to make the bahaviour of all animals more realistic) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72781/ https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54090 (never used this one, but it sounds quite interesting...and you can adjust the animal behaviour so you could set them to friendly or cowardly or defensive so that they don't attack or run away or only attack if you're too close and they feel threatened) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59327 (slightly different, but definitely geared toward animal lovers- give them treats) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21183 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21349 (the shrine of kynareth blessing makes all animals non agressive if you haven't killed many over a certain period. Quest animals are not included to preserve questlines) This is a lot of mods and I'm sorry for being unable to point you to a mod that explicitly does what you want. But maybe these still do it. Btw, I'd be interested to see the mod if you ever find one that specifically does away with the "kicked dog" attitude...it really looks and sounds as if you've just kicked it, poor thing.
  5. You're right, what you're describing is badass enough. We don't want to make Skyrim into Stargate and that meeting and the Gate travel is very much.
  6. That sounds AWESOME! Would be a nice little easter egg. And I love the idea of the Khajiit descending from the Furlings. The Khajiit are my favourite race. ;-) After interrupting that meeting, how about an ascended checks up on you from time to time. Just appears very briefly when you're low on health, heals you and is gone again. Randomly and not every time. Also, only when you're about to die.
  7. Aww, darn. You're right. Would be cool though, if it could be done. But no breaking the game. Even without the Ascended, this idea sounds fantastic.
  8. OMG, I would love this! I love Stargate and I love Skyrim. Win-win Could we have a new type of group to join? Ascended? Or at least to talk to...
  9. Sorry, I kind of went off topic there, I think. I read "Scary" wolf sounds, not scared wolf. Apologies :-(
  10. That sounds very interesting, though great care should be taken not to make the player (too) OP. I'd love to see it.
  11. you know, you're making a good point there. How exactly would it work? Could the Dragonborn, for instance, be allowed to mine materials against a fee? Or after helping the miners out with a problem? (Mining-related quests sound quite interesting). Or the Dragonborn is simply allowed to waltz in and get his things once he's gotten famous enough in the hold where the mine is located? And what of thievery? Could the Dragonborn, for instance, sneak in and just take a few things?
  12. oh, sorry...then that particular mod won't do anything...it's for PC...
  13. This one maybe? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49784
  14. This sounds interesting! I'd want female versions! ;-)
  15. Hey. I'm searching for a mod where the feet look like real feet. Not just my character's, but also the npcs and both genders. I did find SkySight Skins, but it doesn't work for me (it looks great and all but...other mods). Anyone know where I could look?
  16. Hi all, are there Mods that do these things? 1) prevents guards from complaining about "being stuck with guard duties" while the cousin/brother "is off fighting dragons", ESPECIALLY if they just helped...I mean watched me kill a dragon 2) prevents guards from going on about an arrow in the knee stopping their adventures 3) prevents guards (and other NPCs) from wondering whether they might be the dragonborn...I mean, okay, when I've only just found that one out myself, yeah, makes sense (as long as it is not a Whiterun Guard - they WERE RIGHT THERE WHEN I FOUND OUT), but even then, shouldn't the news travel fast? Especially as my character gains fame... I mean, they've waited for the dragonborn's arrival, did they not? So why is it that they know when I stole an apple somewhere in their hold (without being seen), but fail to realise that I am the guy/gal who goes around doing other peoples dirty work and killing dragons, absorbing their souls? 4) prevent's guards from getting on my nerves for using shouts in their city? All right, first time offenders are ok (as long as it's not every single guard in a given city), but especially when I have gained a bit of fame, helping people, shouldn't the guards get the memo that no, I will not use the shouts to wreak havoc in their city? 5) makes NPCs (guards especially) react to my growing fame? Commenting on it...like "Hey, you're new (only if they actually see you for the first/second/third time)...are you this dragonborn that everyone keeps talking about?" (all right, I don't care about being famous, but since being a dragonborn is supposedly all special and stuff, shouldn't at least guards know I am this dragonborn at some point? It would make sense if they knew after I killed a dragon in front of one of their citizens or, even more so, when I do it in front of them.) Or "You're the dragonborn! Lucky you, thought it might've been me"...etc. 6) prevents guards (and NPCs) from talking at you everytime you happen to pass them by?
  17. Thank you for the help! As for the Validation Problem...I sure hope someone is able to explain, because it get's rather tiresome, revalidating the local files over and over again. Additionally, I have to clean Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfires.esm and Dragonborn.esm again. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Perhaps it's my load order? Or one of the mods? This is my load order:
  18. Hello ESO community. I would love to play ESO in Multiplayer mode with a friend. But the problem here is: she uses the PS4 Version, while I only have the PC Version. Additionally, my version is modded (okay, not yet, since I haven't even started playing ESO yet, but if there are mods, I am sure that I won't be able to resist. Maybe at first (want to try it out without mods anyway and then mod what I think needs modding), but not for long). Can we still play together or is this, as I fear, a problem that cannot be solved? I hope you can help me :)
  19. wait, so Ryzen is a whole new pc tower and Hardware pack? (yeah, there is the video, but it doesn't work for me somehow)
  20. Hello, I hope it's alright to post two questions in one topic. 1) Where do I find my .ini file? There's some changes I need to make to my Skyrim ini file (for the Special Edition), but all I can find under My Games> Steam > steamapps > common > Skyrim Special Edition are the following: low.ini medium.ini high.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini (this one in a folder) Skyrim_Default.ini Which one do I need to change? I'm playing the game on high settings, if that information helps. 2) Local game file validation Because my game would simply ctd when trying to enter Whiterun for the first time, I got the advice to check the local game files. I did that, turns out 4 files failed to validate. Steam reaccquired them. So far so good. Again, I could play the game smoothly for hours, until another ctd happened. Since I made the mistake in prematurely believing the problem was solved, I had started a new character. That character had not been to Whiterun yet. Validated the local game files again, again the message was "4 files failed to validate..." Why does it keep loosing those 4 files? Is it because I paly with mods? Am I doomed to play an unmodded Skyrim? How can I suss out the mod which is responsible for the deletion/loss of those 4 files that fail to validate? And what happens when Steam reaccquires them? Does that mean I have to go back into my .ini file and make the adjustments some mods need every single time my local game files get validated? Or missing files reaccquired? Thank you for Reading!
  21. alright, so this is my first time doing something like this username: DOVAHKI1N Character Name: Elira Race: Khajiit/Werewolf Age: 20 Appearance: Fur almost completely black, piercing blue eyes, petite feline figure, a white-patterned Warpaint, still healing scars to the face Personality: mistrusting, cautious, friendly, special connection to nature and animals (especially dragons, rabbits, wolves, cats and horses), likes to help people out, dislikes violence although she will fight if she has to (especially to protect others) can't stand injustice (although the definition of 'injustice' may differ from general view) her views on JUSTICE DON'T MAKE HER CHOOSE BETWEEN THE STORMCLOAKS AND THE EMPIRE- the real enemy here are the High Elves! (And ONLY the Thalmor, she will even befriend a High Elf, providing he or she does not subscribe to the "Talos worship is bad"-doctrine) FACTION: Skyrim and freedom of choice History: Born in Skyrim to a werewolf couple (werewolf gene inherited), has faced racial discrimination from a young age. When she was sixteen, a good friend of her family betrayed them for money, causing her parents to get murdered and herself to escape by a hairs breath. Ever since then, she has kept away from civilization, prefering to camp out in the wilds, although she does venture into cities, selling game and potions. She wants to help fellow werewolves to learn control over their "curse" and to convince people that werewolves are just that, people, with an affliction that is not of their choosing. (Being a werewolf is no crime- as long as you do not attack innocents) Also, she wants the Thalmor gone and that Beast Races are accepted. FIGHTING ABILITIES/GEAR: Hunters Armor with a thick warm fur cloak versatile- can use both bows/crossbows and swords magic: currently only basic spells (healing and flame), but interested in learning more WEAPONS: Bow (feels most comfortable) Sword (prefers one-on-one fights) claws (Khajiit ) her own wit stealth (great at sneaking) Werewolf form LOCATION: The wilds of Skyrim, here and there. Currently near Whiterun
  22. Damn, do you mean the problem might even be transferred to a completely new character? ...what program was it again that checked for mod compability? And is there a way to check (apart from tediously going through the game folders manually) whether NNM correctly uninstalled mods? EDIT: sorry, wryebash was already suggested... ;)
