  1. As far as I know you can do that in Bodyslide. When you build your body you can use the "save as" option and you will get both a .nif file and it will add your preset to the folder as an xml file. You need to choose a new name of course.
  2. My main problem when buying the Seasons Pass on-line turned out to be Steam loading a veritable truckload of updates onto my game. Which meant that all of my carefully saved games went down the drain = New Game/characters/loadorder......... :wallbash: I always play off-line in order to decide for myself when I want to update - or not. But if your game is already fully updated there should be no issues :)
  3. Have you tried looking for it using console. Eg: "help gas 4" or "help can 4" If you find something you can try using the "player.placeatme" command and moving things about using the "Place everywhere" mod or console "modpos x, y and z" The "help 4" command will look through all of your installed files - not only vanila.
  4. This is a new one to me. I've been using bodyslide - a lot - for as long as it has been out for FO4. And just within the last week or so, the body in the preview window has turned all dark brown. Bodyslide as such works perfectly well. But the dark brown body makes it pretty hard to see the details. For now I stick to using the multitude of presets I have already. But if I would want to do my own it'd be a real problem. Any ideas?
  5. Pending a recent reinstall I've been running around in the countryside getting at level 18. And I've had no problems until I wanted to go to Goodneighbor. Diamond City, Cambridge etc work fine. But now I can go for a few yards before CTD. It started at around Trinity Plaza and no matter which direction I go I cannot make any progress. I am for the most getting 60fps right up till crash. Just a few down spikes. Max VRam usage is at 3.2 of 4 Gb. But my GPU hits 100% very fast and stays there until crash. Same goes for GPU temp. It shoots from 40 to 60+ C within a minute of playing. Ram maxes out 6.3Gb - of 16. CPU maxes at around 40%. CPU is maxing out at 55C on core1 I've got a lot of mods running - probably too many- Active mods at 303 and active plugins are 191. My rig is: Intel 5820K, 16Gb ddr4 on an MSI Gaming MB. R9 200 video card with 4Gb Vram. 500Gb M2 main drive with a fully updated Win 10 What would be my best approach here? Cutting down on the eye candy mods. Or going from Ultra to High settings?
  6. Heh heh. He's an adorable nuisance :D Anyway - be sure to get Codsy as soon as you can. He's really a lot of fun :)
  7. Pretty odd. I've so far reinstalled FO4 3 times. And witn NMM every time. The only thing messing with my game have been the patches causing me to start over every time. I always play off line. So when I have to reinstall........ :wallbash: But NMM never played tricks on me.
  8. I haven't tried with OS. But I regularly alt-tab out of the game to find poses in my catalogue. It also happens that I check the Nexus or NMM to see if I have specific mod - and how it works (like finding a new hideout etc.) So I guess you can alt-tab and open OS.
  9. Just make sure you get the latest versions of everything. I've got several GB of mods I've downloaded manually. A few of them won't run on my new install, but getting the latest versions solved my problem. The same goes for F4SE - if you use it. Should fit your game version. I recently had to wipe and resinstall my whole system. My game is now loaced at 1.10.4 I'm at 271 active mods/174 plugins and stable - well, as stable as FO4 can be expected ;)
  10. I haven't tried killing him. But I bypassed him on one occassion. I just walked past him, as he initiated dialogue, grabbed the bobblehead and went out to grab the PA. His reaction was hilarious :D The only thing I noticed - apart from not being able to do the Minutemen quests- was that the deathclaw didn't show up. And there was much less of a fight in Concord.
  11. Sounds strange - and my question probably sounds even more strange. To say the least.............. But - have you deleted/moved one or more unneccsary files from your data folder? The reason I ask is because at one time I suddenly was missing some - very important- file. One of the dlls I think. I found it among my screenshots :excl: When moving my latest batch of screenies I had gotten one too many files. Rendering my game unplayable. But it took me a hell of a long time - and way too much googling- before I found out :wallbash:
  12. Recently - due to windows refusing to update- I had to wipe my system. Thus I had to reinstall FO4 from scratch going from 1.9.4 to 1.10.4. I haven't experienced any issues - apart from having to delete 680 Mb of CC stuff.......... :wallbash: But - mind you- I built my game from bottom up and have started all over with modding it, thus getting the latest updates etc. At the same time I decided to scrap my old saves  Last time I did this was because I went on-line to buy the SP. Steam updated my game and my saves went down the drain - unusable...... :pinch: But at least only one mod had to be deleted then. As for stability - runs fine so far. But I haven't ventured into Boston City yet. Got 155 active mods.
  13. Well - so much has already been said but........... Being an old time - as in Fallout 1 onwards- fan, I'm not sure that I'd say FO4 is a "real" Fallout game. It is certainly lacking in several departments when compared to earlier games. And yet I've spent - and still spend- way too many hours playing it. Because there's so much else to it. Use your imagination, make up your own story inside your head and use mods to make it come real in your game. Or just go exploring the huge sandbox. I bought the game when it came out and the SP on christmas sale a year later. And I haven't even finished it yet. Because there's always just one more thing down that sidetrack that looks interesting. And if I say/do this waht happens. And this mod............ You just go ahead and finish what I'm trying to say.......
  14. There might be a glitch though. If you haven't updated your game for a while - eg. if you play off-line- Steam will throw in the latest update when you install. And that may - or may not- create some problems with your saves and/or mods. Last year I bought the seasons passs at the christmas sale. I had to go on-line for the first time in months. The game got updated and I had to download/install everything from scratch. And my saves were shot. But if your game and mods are up to date there shouldn't be any serious problems - I think.........
  15. I found them in my waste bin - all 681 Mb of them. I cannot remember exactly how they show up in the data folder. But here are both prefixes and the names as they come up. Prefix: ccBGSFO4004, 4006, 4016, 4018, 4019, 4020, 4038 and 4044 Pipboy(black) – main and textures ba2 Pipboy(Camo01) – main and textures ba2 Pipboy(Camo2)- main and textures ba2 Pipboy(Chrome) – main and textures ba2 Prey – main and textures ba2 GaussRiflePrototype – main and textures ba2 ChineseStealthArmor – main and textures ba2 PowerArmorSkin(Black) – main and textures ba2 HorseArmor – main and textures ba2 HellFirePowerArmor – main and textures ba2 Prefix: ccFRSFO4001 HandmadeShotgun – main and textures ba2 Prefix: ccFSVFO4001 and 4002 ModularMilitaryBackpack – main and textures ba2 MidCenturyModern – main and textures ba2 I hope you can get something from this.
  16. Thank you for your notice  Recently I had to wipe my sys disk and reinstall everything. I'm on 1.40 now and your entry made me check my data folder. It turned out there was quite a lot of CC junk. I just wish Bethsoft would put a CC in the name. I opened the bsa files using a bsa extractor and thus I was able to identify and get rid of the files.
  17. Hmm - I think it's all about your mindset. I'm a long time - as in all the way from Fallout 1- Fallout player. Moreover I cannot help but do screenshots - usually developing into stories. I was hesitant to buy FO4 because of what I heard of it. But - hey - it was Fallout so......... It is difficult to compare with earlier Fallout games. As I think was FO3 compared to 1, 2 and Tactics. I think New Vegas is a deeper and more - well.... dark game. Much better gameplay wise in my opinon. FO4 is - to me- superficial, too politically correct and sorely lacking of the dark humor so prevalent in earlier games. Then - why do I play it?? Well - it IS a sandbox. It lets your imagination run wild. I really don't care about building elaborate towns/settlements. It's boring. And yet - as I start doing screens I MUST have some kind of logical background to set my characters against. So I'm off to building. And I DO like the - almost- limitless opportunities provided by mods to tailor your settlements/characters to suit your taste/idea of what this world is like. My latest addition is one in which Nora escapes ahead of you. That of course is for a male cahracter only. But there are other mods out there allowing you other ways of starting your game once you've tried the vanila approach. OK - sorry for rambling - I think the sidequests are not too bad. Each of your companions have their own. And then there are the radiant ones that'll drive you mad over time......... Still - mods can take care of that. I've heard a lot fo good things about Fusion City Rising - among others. The Far Harbor DLC is great. And it seems Nuka World is worth a try too. I don't know if this answers any of your questions. I do not know Skyrim. Though I've heard some saying it is an beautiful but -as far as gameplay- empty game. I've had FO4 since it came out. And I haven't finished it yet. In spite of countless hours playing. You can check out my oics if you want to see waht I mean by doing small stories. And I am not the only one.
  18. OK - found the culprit and got rid of it. Everything is good now :)
  19. Thank you Jimmy :) Guess I'll just do it the hard way then. Uninstall one at a time until I find the culprit.
  20. I've got a - somewhat mysterious- problem. When entering the furniture tab in the crafting menu I've got "appliances" and "beds" as nos 1 and 2. No problem. But when trying to go into no 3 "containers" I get instant CTD. All of the other crafting tabs are good to go. House building, defense, power etc etc. Is there an easy way to check for conflicts? Or do I have to run through umpteen mods using FO4edit? I've got 69 active plugins.
  21. I built a new rig last spring. I went for this one because of what I gathered from tests and comparison I read. I is the not fastest - nor was it last year. Still - as far as power/money ratio it was a good buy. Moreover - it is very quiet. Even under heavy load. Until now I've been very satisfied with the performance - Fallout and everything else. Runs ultra - or high with heavy retex mods- in 24" 1080x1920. I've put it on an MSI Gaming MB with an Intel 5820K, 16 Gb ram and a 750W PSU - just to make room for upgrades. http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?pid=D4AC4856-9166-4C37-A7D6-ECDD3EEB4C17&lang=eng
  22. Thank you very much AMD :) A lot of this is new stuff to me and I'm going to take an in depth look at it. That ESP explorer looks like a handy tool indeed. As for the form IDs I usually check it in FO4Edit before doing anything :)
  23. What are your thoughts on the latest patch? I've just had to reinstall everything on my rig due to a faulty Windows. I did a backup of my old .ini and exe files - version 1.9.4- so I CAN go back. Still - if the game runs fine with 1.10.2 in regards to mods, stability etc I see no reason. I'm starting all over anyway. Just hope that the SE is up to speed :)
  24. Cormell pointed me to this one: http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover I used it to transfer New Vegas and FO3 to another drive and it worked well :)
  25. Just the thing Llama thought of when she created Willow (and Heather if I remember it right). And somehow it works :)
