  1. Hey every1  I'm in the middle of creating a mod, but I've gotten stuck because I didn't know that I had to do the whole "command prompt" thing with FOSE to get the script working with GECK :pinch: As I have never worked with "Command prompts" before I am at a complete loss here  Can anyone give me a little more detailed description (then the one found on GECKs homepage) on how to do this? or maybe throw me a link to a good guide on how to do it :) With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  2. DOH! :pinch: I should have thought of that  thanks m8ie  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  3. Hey everyone  I've been reading some of the stuff found on both the forum and on the GECK homepage, but the GECK homepage only seemed to confused me further, so I thought I'd just post my question here instead  I am trying to make a small group of player friendly NPCs and as I have placed them in a hostile zone I would like to make them be able to defend themselves, but without them changing their positions (like behind sandbags or other similar pieces of clutter) and I haven't really been able to figure out what kind of packages to choose to make them do this  If anyone could give me a tip on which to use, it'll be much appreciated  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  4. Afaik there is no reset option  The "Personal Conversation" is just another word for personal message. And the "Inline Notification" should be that Popup which you'll get if you normally receive a p.m., but not shure. Did a forums search for "Inline Notification" and landed here. :teehee: Hehe thx anyway  Would be nice to have a "Default Settings" though  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  5. Thanks for the reply  Yea I actually did just that earlier today, should be solved now, but sadly it wont work if you have already been at the location while the NPC was bugged :pinch: So all I could do was suggest people to make a clean save :) With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  6. When I open up a dialog sound file that was extraced from the menuvoices.bsa, it's .ogg format, Mono 44100Hz, 16bit. Cool will have to have a look and see if that solves it  Thx for the reply ;) With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  7. Cool thx for the reply, will give it a go  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  8. Hey every1  Anyone know a reason for why a placed dead body will all of a sudden stop showing in-game? Created a mod where as part of it I have placed a dead security guard, everything has been working fine, but now all of a sudden it has bugged, without me even making any changes to that part of the mod :wallbash: Looking in GECK everything looks as it should and the dead security guard is where he is supposed to be, even with running havoc, but in-game he is not  I've tried to remove him and place him all over again, but still no luck, please HELP! :( With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  9. You don't by chance know how to upload wav files to the "Sound Pick" list from the Art and Sound tab when editing weapons do you? I have the wav file I just don't know how to upload it so that it will appear on the list. I know it works in game because I've replaced other wav files in mods with it. Just not through G.E.C.K. Any advice any one? Sadly I rarely use GECK as it requires allot of memory to run and for some reason I'm having problems running it on my computer  I always use FO3Edit for this kind of stuff as it's an extremely light program compared to GECK  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  10. Np got it sorted out, but thx  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  11. Cool thx m8ie, will go have a look  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  12. The funny thing is that there are no errors in the .ESP as such (no red) and again usually skeletal factors or model issues in general don't cause crashes until you actually try and load a save of an area with the creature / NPC in question  So I can't really see the error being anything other then "flag" related, but I'm completely at a loss about which it could be  Think I'm gonna move on to one of the other robot types to see if it's the same deal with them  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  13. As the armors from [i Am Robot] are for humans, I've created a new folder basically containing both skeleton, idles and so on, from the humans and placed the armors within the folder as well. But as the crash occures already before I can even enter the game, I think it has to be the data within the .ESP that must be the problem, just not sure what  The strange thing is that I have used the exact same approach when I change the Zeta aliens into Prawns (D9) and that worked without a single glitch  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  14. Hey every1  I'm trying to create a mod that will replace the robots of fallout3 with the armor models from the [i Am Robot] mod  But every time I try to make the slightest change to the models with FO3Edit, the game will CTD upping loading the game  Have anyone ever succeeded in changing the complete model of a Protectron?, or is this simply not possible for some strange reason? With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  15. Hey every1  I need urgent help with this matter as it stands in the way of a possible release of my mod, planed to be posted later today  My problem is that one of the items I will be posting will feature the damage to limbs "Base-Effects" and I'm not quite sure if the "Type" flag should be [self] or [Target] and if it depends on the "Base-Effect" is on an armor or a weapon  If any1 could help me clarify this ASAP it would be much appreciated ;) Actually I would also like to apply the same question to the [increaseCritChance "Increased Critical Chance" [MGEF:0006AA5D]] "Base-Effect" With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  16. I could kiss you dude! That did the trick  Thanks again m8ie  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  17. Okay I'll give it a go ;) Thx for the reply  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  18. Hey every1  As part of a project, I am trying to place a dead body at a specific spot in the game world, but can't seem to get it right  I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, because no matter what I do the body is either several feet away from the selected spot, or it is standing erect 10 feet up in the air  As you can't (as far as I know) tilt a NPC in GECK and that way place it laying down, it's a bit hard to place it in just the right way :pinch: Please can anyone help me out  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  19. This post was accidentally made in the wrong sub-forum :wallbash: Should any moderator spot this post please delete it  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  20. Hey everyone  I am trying to create an "assaultrifle" type gun with a set of rotating barrels, like a gatling gun ;) But for some reason I can't get the "rotating barrels" animation running  I've tried to attack it from different angles. First I tried to incorporate the barrel (along with it's corresponding strings making the barrels rotate) from a vanilla minigun, into the model that would serve as a base for the gun. Moving the slider that make animations run, back and forward, the barrels did in fact rotate, but in-game they remained static, even though the gun was firing :( Second I tried to do it the other way around and incorporated all the parts from the base into the minigun model, but with the same result :wallbash: The program I am using is NifSkope and I know this might not be the ideal tool for this, but that's what I have for now :P Anyone have an idea how I might be able to make the animations working? Another thing I was thinking of, was that it might have something to do with the flags I have set in the .ESP. As I want to make the gun an "assaultrifle" type weapon, I have to change the flags from the miniguns: "Handle (2 Hand)" " DEFAULT" "ReloadE" "AttackSpin" to an AR's "Rifle - Automatic (2 Hand)" "DEFAULT" "ReloadA" "AttackLoop" and I'm not sure if changing any of these flags might effect this in any way  I hope someone will be able to give me some help on this cause I've wanted to create a weapon like this for a long time  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  21. Damn didn't work  Maybe I'm missing something in the "Dialog", haven't quite figured it out yet  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif

Nope not yet  Will give it a try, thx for the reply  With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
  23. Hey every1  I am currently trying to make some sound bits for a custom cyborg follower, so I have tried to create some robotic voice tracks from some other sound files I have, but I can't get them to play properly in-game :wallbash: Can anyone tell me if there are certain criteria for the sounds such as which "Hz" "Bits" and "Mono" or "Stereo" to use? With Best Regards Corehound http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif"Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of War!"http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/devil.gif
