  1. Thanks, I actually already had that one in two separate sections of my Guide. Gopher is the man! Appreciate the share.
  2. Sounds like a permissions issue, try running Mod Organizer as administrator? Right Click > Run As Administrator.
  3. Watched the video. Don't use Boss, LOOT has replaced it - you'll also want to make sure your Mod Organizer LOOT master sort list is updated, see the loot video in my guide. You didn't answer whether or not you've tried disabling Realvision ENB. If it's an ENB problem then you'll need to modify your enblocal.ini file located in your Skyrim Directory. The auto-installer for Realvision doesn't always enter the proper values. If you have the ENBoost memory tweak it also conflicts with ENBs because ENBoost is already included with Realvision... both utilize the enblocal.ini file. That means you'll need to disable ENBoost if you're using Realvision. May not be related to your immediate problem, you also seem to have alot of mods with dirty edits, you'll want to clean them, there's a video for that in my guide as well. I couldn't tell by the video but I didn't see any Merged or Bashed patches but you'll want to learn to make them, also in my guide. Guide Here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/ Hope it helps.
  4. Added order of operations to the following sectiosn Creating A Merged Patch Using TES5EditCreating A Bashed Patch Using Wrye BashCreating A Dual Sheath Redux PatchMore to come.
  5. SSME is extremely useful and in one of the sections of my guide, you probably saw Gophers video on it, he does great work. Glad you figured it out, thanks for letting us know.
  6. Did you disable Antialiasing and Anisotropic filtering from Skyrim Launcher? Did you check your enblocal.ini to try different FIX values? You can find a guide describing each here http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBlocal_INI/Fix Just some thoughts.
  7. Added direct links to Gopher and GamerPoets, both of whom were (and still are) invaluable resources for this guide.
  8. I agree with Oubliette It appears you are missing snow textures. From my experience two different issues can cause this. 1. You removed a texture that was in your save game and are still using the same save game file (try a new game to see if it fixes the problem) 2. If a new game doesn't fix the problem then your game is likely loading a snow mesh with a missing texture file, you'll want to try installing a new snow mod or reinstalling your old one. You could try HD Snow?? HD Snow http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49011/?
  9. Couple of options, 1. Make sure you download and run LOOT 2. Optimize your Papyrus Scripting System 3. Try SafetyLoad How to do all three are in my guide http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/
  10. Whoa... what is this??? Computer/CyberPower(I:)/Skyrim/steamapps/common/Skyrim That's a strange thing to have in your path, the : is probably throwing it off.
  11. Not sure if it will help Demon but I finally put my strategy to paper in this guide. Sorry my earlier recommendations didn't fix the problem but if you're getting a fresh start my guide may help you get the foundation settled. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/
  12. Welcome to the modding universe! 1. You using Nexus Mod Manager? Good choice for starting out. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/? 2. HD Textures actually has 5 different texture files for you to install (Dungeons, Landscapes, Towns, Etc...)! Check the description and file section for each and every mod you decide to install http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D607&pUp=1 3. As for body textures, you'll probably want to try a different texture than the one you got. "Basic" Install order for character textures are typically as follows... - Install A Skeleton (XP32 Maximum Skeleton) (optional) - Install The Body Type (Such as UNP or CBBE) - Install The Texture Maps - Install The Textures Some body mods include body type, maps and textures. 4. My Guide May Help Too, especially as you dig deeper. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/
  13. My guide has the procedures for properly installing Mod Organizer http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/ Watch Gophers video on the subject. You'll need to point Mod Organizer to the "path" where Skyrim is installed For example, mine is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim
  14. With that many Mods you'll want to follow this guide to make sure you've gone through all the core steps necessary for a stable system. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/
  15. Sounds like a mouse driver conflict of some kind with the game. If it does it with a fresh install... Try a different USB mouse by chance?
  16. Not specifically, but I don't see a bashed or merged patch in your load order. I'd definitely do that. Your problem is isolated so it's not likely a memory issue. It could be overlapping scripts / textures that a merged or bashed patch would help with. My guide covers merged and bashed patches http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/ If you use mod organizer you may want to go through mods that affect those areas or your SkyUI scripts and see if any of those script files are being overwritten in the conflicts tab.
  17. Doesn't look like you've generated a merged or bashed patch. Also I can't tell from your setup if you've installed the ENBoost memory tweak to make sure you're not exceeding the 3 GB memory limit for Skyrim. You can learn how to do all of them on this guide I put together: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/ That's where I'd start.
  18. It looks like Mod Organizer isn't properly executing your patchers to me. Watch the LOOT video in my stability guide to make sure you've properly connected LOOT to Mod Organizer. Load order has killed my SkyProc patchers before. Also watch the video on Dual Sheath Redux to make sure you're properly connecting your patchers to Mod Organizer. Guide is here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/
  19. Have you ran a merged patch or bashed patch? I've had issues like the one you're describing fixed by doing so... You can learn more about them here http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/ Also, do you have any mods that modify Nazeem specifically?
  20. You said you thought it might be Realvision, have you tried renaming d3d9.dll to d3d9.old and relaunch your game? If it still CTDs then it's not your ENB (renaming that file disables the ENB) I put together a stability guide you may want to go through http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/ Mod Organizer will save you an immense amount of headaches (if you're not using it). CTD before logo is a missing masters issue, you may have one mod that is looking for a dependency. I've spent hours prior to using MO finding out that I simply enabled a Falskaar patch in a secondary mod and had since uninstalled Falskaar.
  21. Dual Sheath Redux Patch is covered in a video I've embedded in my stability guide. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2766209-how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues-wip/ You should have two separate ESP files Dual Sheath Redux.esp Dual Sheath Redux Patcher.esp Load order definitely matters. You will also have a SkyProc patcher folder that needs to be included in your Data directory as well.
  22. My log is riddled with errors... Papyrus ignores them for the most part. I suppose the better question is whether or not you're experiencing gameplay issue as a result of them.
  23. Hope someone addresses this because right now I can't get the damn shield to go on my back at all... for the life of me. I've tried reinstalling the Skeleton and DSR as well as rerunning patchers to no avail. At some point the shield just stopped going on my back.
  24. I put together this comprehensive guide for building a stable Skyrim experience. I'm hoping to cover an extensive series of settings that are essential to create the most stable modded Skyrim experience possible. I will need as much feedback as possible to fill in the gaps of (what very little) knowledge I have so far. So please use the thread below to do so. What Causes CTDs And Instability? A lot of things. Therefore it is impossible to solve every single one of them with a "catch all" guide. The purpose of this guide is educate modders to have the fundamental knowledge for building their own Stable experience. Therefore you will need to put in the leg work to make sure you are not skipping essential tasks for stabilizing your build (memory tweaks, patches, etc...). Guide Link: http://www.craigandchris.com/how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues So far this guide covers: Is This Guide For You? Causes of Instability, CTDs and Infinite Load Screens This Guide May Fix Getting Started: Basic Skyrim Stability Recommendations Properly Installing Mods And Mod Add Ons Installing And Using Mod Organizer Installing And Using LOOT Installing And Configuring ENBoost Memory Patcher (enblocal.ini) without ENBs Installing And Configuring ENBoost Memory Patcher (enblocal.ini) with ENBs Monitoring Memory Blocks Usage with Memory Block Log and SKSE Patching And Testing Memory Blocks with SSME (Skyrim Startup Memory Editor) Optimizing The Papyrus Scripting System Installing Safety Load And Considerations Optimizing Skyrim For Multi-Core Systems (Coming Later) Cleaning Dirty Edits Using TES5Edit Generating Animations Using Fores New Idles (FNIS) Creating A Merged Patch Using TES5Edit Creating A Bashed Patch Using Wrye Bash Creating A Dual Sheath Redux Patch Tweaking Skyrim Flora Overhaul Settings Tweaking In Game Display Settings (Coming Later) Tweaking Skyrim.ini Settings (Coming Later) Installing And Configuring uGridsToLoad (Coming Later)I haven't fleshed out all of the content yet, like I said in the post, this is a work in progress so let me know if there's any glaring issues that need resolved.
  25. Since there are a large range of issues related to CTD I've put together this comprehensive post on the subject. Remember this is a work in progress but the goal is to have it be as comprehensive as possible. I'm attempting to pool as many reliable resources together as possible. http://www.craigandchris.com/how-to-fix-skyrim-ctds-hangs-and-memory-issues Any feedback you have will be much appreciated and taken into consideration as I develop this.
