Having put my Skyrim game on hold until January I've decided to reinstall and finish Oblivion and try some new (to me) mods as well. Hoping to get feedback on whether the big mods I'm looking at will work together and not destroy anything. First off is FCOM, I loved MMM when I first played Oblivion and didn't discover OOO until way later so never got to use it. My question for this one is are the cool things of each mod all rolled into one (MMM's crafting system and creatures/items/etc and OOO's new factions and items/creatures/etc) or does FCOM only take some of each mod? The second big one I like the look of is the Midas Magic. Thinking of trying a warrior mage like I made in Skyrim but don't know if Midas would work well alongside FCOM. Thirdly would either of the above be affected poorly by mods that added new items to shops or the world (not leveled lists, just laying around) or that made small additions to the leveled lists? I'm sure these things have been asked before but since it's nearly 2 AM I really don't have the patience to search the forum so my apologies.

Looks like a good collection to start things off (I know I'd go after them) though I hope they will have something in their appearance that will make them standout beside a normal armor set. So for example if I were to place Dibella's Beauty next to a normal set of glass I could tell at a glance which was which.

Plus if you find one of those chests and can't open it at the time the possibility of finding something rare inside would be a good incentive to return to it later.
-
I like the idea of sets that we have to search out. So many interesting possibilities there and personally I always liked having to work for the cool stuff better then being able to simply grab it out of a chest somewhere like a good number of mods like to do.

More artifacts would be awesome, maybe add in any from Morrowind and Oblivion that weren't carried over. I'm sure there are at least a few. Could be cool to see some new artifacts that were once used by our previous heroes as well. Figure it's been 200 years so there is a fair possibility that some of their old gear found it's way to Skyrim via traders and thieves and such.

I'd like my horse to stop going after enemies. Defending himself is one thing but climbing up a tower to get at some bandits is a little ridiculous...

I think it would be cool to have a mod that adds some unique items to the blacksmithing options. The sort of stuff where you have to search out incredibly rare ingredients (possibly guarded or just hard to locate/get to).

Personally I'd like this so I could mark whether I need to go back to a dungeon later. I've already had to leave a couple chests behind because I wasn't skilled enough to open them. By the time I have the skill level needed I doubt I'll remember where they are.

Whiterun would also be good because it's more or less the center of Skyrim and there is a fair bit of open space around it.

Special or not if they already allow you to put things inside and have them automatically displayed then it might save the modders a little work since they won't have to create those things from scratch.

Just discovered the interactive bookshelves in Breezehome. I think that if they were larger then they would be almost perfect for a Collector House Library. So much easier then having to manually maneuver each book into place though it would be nice if the shelf could place them horizontally as well as vertically. Out of curiosity has anyone found any other interactive things like the bookshelves? Like weapon racks and such?

Oh I know there will probably be many made but with Oblivion I had a hard time finding anything that suited my mod heavy play style so I figured it couldn't hurt to make it an official request and lay out the general idea. :)

I'm sure I'm not the only person who enjoys collecting gear and treasure on my adventures and displaying it and I figure if I make the request now it may get created before the tidal wave of armor/weapon/etc mods come out. My opinions on what a true collectors home would have: 1. A large library/alchemy/enchanting area. Lots of shelves and tables, possibly ingredient sorters like we've seen before. 2. An armor hall/halls with plenty of space for the mannequins once that mod is made. 50 would probably be a safe number 3. An armory with lots of space for weapons, either with racks like a normal armory or display cases/tables or both. 4. Companion Quarters That's really all the important stuff. Hopefully one of the housing modders will see fit to create it once we have the modding tools.

1. A good house for those of us that like to collect and display stuff. So big library, lots of space for armor/weapon displays, etc. 2. Armor Mannequins! 3. Mods that add collections that have to be found all over Skyrim. 4. LOTS of cool weapons/armor/clothing/etc for collectors. 5. More Books! Can never have too many. Maybe even some ancient books that can be found in different barrows and cairns. That's probably good for now :D

Really? Wow, that seems like a rather lazy move on Bethseda's part. I may make the addition to Greenview since I still need somewhere to connect my rooms to, I managed to figure out my issue with the castle parts and actually have the first room built (Slightly annoyed that I couldn't find any doors to fit the doorways but the one I enlarged and duplicated actually looks fairly decent)

Oddly enough, Greenview is one of the ones I liked best, but the lack of mannequins was a big point against it along with one or 2 other small things. I did keep it though to use as a Companion house. I actually am going to make an attempt at making my own now that I seem to have the CS working properly. Now I just need to figure out where they hid all the room pieces. So far all I've found is complete building interiors which does not help at all :)

(Ok, first off, if I somehow missed a good house then my apologies for cluttering the forum with a redundant thread. I've spent a great deal of time searching Planet Elder Scrolls, Oblivion Real Estate and the TES Nexus without any luck.) I am looking for someone who can make a house for me, according to some fairly specific ideas. This is intended to be a display house...not a storage house, someplace to actually set out and display all the neat stuff I find in my wanderings throughout the world. Now that that is out of the way, on to the specifics! Size/Layout: For the most part I leave this up to anyone who might take on the task. My only requirement is that it be big as I have a large amount of stuff I wish to display. Location: Preferably somewhere either in a city or on the edge of the province since those are the least likely to conflict with any of the mods I have running. Decor/Furnishings/Details: A large number of pedestals for mannequins (I have a mannequin mod already), a large number of weapon displays as well as a good bit of empty wall space for mounting shields. Also a library/alchemy lab with a number of shelves and tables would be nice. One of the big things, it needs to be well lit, not realistically lit with torches and shadows but fully lit with actual light. If you need an idea of what I mean then wander over to the Morrowind mods and take a look at Mormegil Manor. Wow, I certainly went on for a bit. Seems good to know what I want out of the house though. If anyone actually decides to take on the request and wants more details then just let me know, Thanks :)
