I have played a handful of these real time with pause and games over the years; neverwinter nights 1 and 2, kotor 1 and 2, pillars of eternity... So I am back to NWN2 and I am surprised with the lack of info in the combat log. Is there really no way to see monsters' saves, damage reduction, and stuff like that? I mean, I know the stat block of a monster is a little hidden, but could I at least get some info by probing it? Like see if it's immune to sleep or has a really high fortitude save? Is there an option toggle I've missed or are there any mods for expanding a bit on the log's level of detail?

Hit points balance. :geek:

I'm not far into the game (SoZ), but I can see what you mean. Still I think it's good to have a healthy mix of HP and other effects. It also slightly diminishes CON compared to PnP. Lots of things have immunities to the druid druid death spells I'm carrying.. I gotta say I'm glad to have some extra cushion considering the game is not really turn based. It's easier to make mistakes than in PnP.- 1 reply

Good job sharing it. -
STLM has an astonishing 11K endorsements, and I'd like to give mine for what it does to the exterior landscaping. But it made my torch so freakin' bright I had to turn the mod off in a cave yesterday. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've searched the STLM thread for the word "torch" and there isn't a single hit. The mod "Natural Torchlight" doesn't do enough to make a difference.. I tried disabling all my visual mods in different combinations and STLM seems to mess up torches completely on its own. EDIT: I used a torch in a small settlement at night, where this was much less of a problem. I dunno, maybe the problem went away with some script merge run or something...

Geralt and enemy scaling
Lokiron replied to Lokiron's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Cool, thanks. Geralt's vitality, attack power, etc, is somewhere there as well? -
This mod, Improved Scaling, mentions some scaling values that it changes. E.g. "increases to monster/human leveling bonuses. (20->40/45 damage/lvl)". Does anyone know where to find those values and change them yourself?

Hi all, I realize there may be sources out there to get this information, but I've searched and not really found an answer. So here goes. Can anyone explain the different sections in the input.settings file? Obviously, [Combat] lists key bindings active when in combat, but what do the [bASE] sections do? What does [bASE_DRAW_SWORDS] do and how is it different from [bASE_DRAW_SWORDS_KEYBOARD]? Keys under [bASE_Signs] need to be repeated under [Combat] and [Exploration], so what is the point of [bASE_Signs]?

Hi all, I do not know if this is a general question or mod specific, because I do not fully understand key bindings. But I have the specific issue that I am using both More Quick Slots and Quick Inventory and Friendly HUD and both have functionality tied to the same button (gamepad Y) on the radial menu. In input.settings I have found the function for Friendly HUD and moved it to Left Stick Press, but I really would like to just remove the function from More Quick Slots. The action from More Quick Slots does not seem to be in input.settings. Does anyone know how to do this?

Would be nice if the bag and contents weren't weightless.

I like the options in the poll

I am looking for a mod that let's me indicate that an item is to be sold later and puts it in a separate section of the inventory. I'm not looking for a mod that lets me carry infinite weight, but one that lets me sort easier. Does such a mod exist? Cheers.

Hi everyone, Out of nowhere this glow appeared on all NPCs in Whiterun. I have no idea why. Strange glow I just completed a quest relating the Gauldur amulet. I only run a few mods, SkyRe being the most influential. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: It's from a SkyRe spell - Armored Ascension - so no problem.

Returning to Skyrim after a break, and WTF!?!?! one of my favorite mods is gone?! I played a while without it, but realized, I needed it - the world is so dead without this mod. Good to see this picked up again. PS: Anyone know how to manually increase spawn rate or a mod that does so?

While I try not to get my hopes up to unproportional heights and also not pressure you, I do think that everytime you post specifics, your mod looks better and better. I will return to Skyrim at some point when your combat module is finished and I will be sure to give you all the constructional feedback I can. Cheers (have a kudos, btw)

Very much looking forward to trying this with a brand new character and lots of console spawned enemies and tons of cheating :D

The most annoying thing regarding this whole language issue, is the nords' dialect. They sound German or Russian, not Scandinavian (of any kind)!

I love these kinds of responses!

LOL. You are a letter and you are the daughter of Olas (which I don't know what means). That's it  (Danish, btw, so not as strong in the old norse as the Icelandic people)

It's not a silly place, though, but of course not the most important, nor would I consider equality education mandatory for a game. However, games teach a lot of young people many things. Games have probably taught me most of my english vocabulary (not my first language). I don't oppose your mod outright, I was just being the devil's advocate. New Vegas is so much more adult than Skyrim, but aren't they the same rating? The mentioned kind of sexism is hopefully constructive as it will expose the males playing females to an annoying sexism that they might learn from. That is generally what I mean. If sexism is in the game it should be transparent, and appear as something negative for the sake of the kids playing the game. I'm not kidding here, it is a lot harder for a young person to figure out that discrimination is bad than it is to figure out that you shouldn't kill. I think killing in games is less harmful, because it is so obviously wrong (in our society).

Interesting topic. Most arguments in the thread relate to the history women through the ages/cultures, which is all well and good. But.. I think, in my own modest opinion, that the morality of this topic is best answered by looking at our own time. Sexual inequality still exists, to some extent, in most of the modern world even to this day. How is this countered? By everybody getting used to seeing women (men too, for that matter) in roles not usually associated with their sex. It's a mindset, and influences like our favorite entertainments can move this. Historical accuracy or fantasy realism really shouldn't take precedense over this. Now, you are talking about a mod, so of course it's less important. But I'm glad the Vanilla game has female guards. Lastly, I present a sexist, yet humorous, picture that's oddly relevant for the thread. http://sadhillnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/you-see-that-its-a-kitchen-now-get-back-in-it-sad-hill-news.jpg

The 10 WORST Perks Skyrim's New Leveling System Has To Offer
Lokiron replied to TheBalance's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You're saying Illusion is useless which is no wonder if you think the school is about fear. Frenzy is the spell line to use, and this is extremely useful. Illusion is also the school to get the most out of dual casting as it doubles the affected level. This multiplication also doubles the level increases from the perks. Even if your enemy is too high level, you can just frenzy his friend, and they will fight anyway. -
This is the genre, dude, since the first of its type, Dungeonmaster. Eye of the Beholder is the same as well. The term RPG excludes no types of combat control.

LE Bounty hunting, monster hunting, and other jobs/activities
Lokiron replied to Citrus872's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Amazing how I haven't seen a billion of suggestions like this. It's such an obvious idea for a mod; because it's a good one! There is something serene about doing the adventurer's equivalent to labour and not always do world changing feats of a demigod :-P I wholeheartedly agree with the OP that random and fixed versions would both be great. Throw in item fetching / dungeon crawls and I think it's all covered.
