  1. I have to say. I'm impressed. I would never be able to stick to one personal creative project this long. I'm looking forward to the end result, QQuix.
  2. If I had to choose one or the other, I would argue for Fallout. It's arguably based on our history, except for a key divergence point where everything went towards a different kind of history compared to us. In their alternate history, it can be argued that having laser weapons right next to computers from the Dos era makes sense.I mean, they have fusion batteries. We can't even really make fusion work for us and we have computer technology 100 times more advanced than what they seem to operate on. I don't know. I guess it all makes sense in the "If our history split into a completely different focus in technology and went on for 100+ more years than our current time" sense.
  3. I'm not insulting the people who watch the show, it's just... that's how the show is sorta formatted. Sure you have some smart writing peaking it's head at times, but the idea that ties everything in the show together, the magic of friendship, is something straight from a children's show and for a children's show. I'm not saying that friendship isn't awesome. It's just the way it's presented in the show. It's sorta like people who are always happy, no matter what happens. It's great that you're happy in life, but the other things have a place. It's the same here. Friendship is cool and all, but a show based entirely around it that is inherently for children, even if, you as an older person, enjoy it. You're not stupid for enjoying it. The show is just automatically dumbed down when you have a moral of the week and everything is always sunny and happy by the end of these episodes.
  4. haha Don't worry. I came to my opinion on the show after watching a lot of it. It's one of those shows I watch just to make fun of, sorta like watching to shut your brain off and make fun of all the stupidity. I know I'll never be a fan and that the characters will always be groan worthy, along with the really bad morals each episode. Don't be afraid to watch it knowing that you'll never really like it, just groan at it and laugh over how stupid it is. It's one of those "Be secure in your masculinity" situations.
  5. Star Trek always painted a very pretty picture of the universe, but then you have to think what would actually happen if there was actual holodecks. A lot of series have approached the idea differently, but the results always seem the same. When you can create a reality that's better than your own, why would you every try to go back to the real world? I mean, you could have anything in that holodeck. The perfect family, the perfect woman, adventures that could never begin to happen otherwise. It just seems like something you would never leave. Maybe I'm over thinking it, but it stinks of "this technology would spell doom for any society".
  6. I've tried to see what people see as the attraction to the show, but it doesn't have the magic other people see, imo. The writing shows hints of small amounts of intelligence, but the, for the lack of a better word, stupidity surrounding it all seems to drown that out. The two episodes I actually liked were where everything that the show cherishes, aka the love and friendship, was turned on it's heels. In the mean time, the very things that make it endearing to little children should turn the older audience off. I guess that I just can't lower my expectations enough to actually enjoy the show. That, and a few things here or there reek of lazy writing to me. The whole "cutey mark" thing still bothers me. They can't have talents without having a symbol appearing on their butt? Is it their greatest talents? Can they do things counter-intuitive to that mark? I guess a lot of things about the show just bug me. :/
  7. I just want to say that I hope everything goes well with you. I know that things are looking down, but my hope is that you're able to at least salvage some form of happiness after all of this. I know it doesn't count for much, but I things go well.
  8. EVE remains a very niche game, despite it's fame and popularity. In a lot of ways, you have to have the right people to play the game with. If you try to solo it with no one to talk to or nothing to do off-screen, you're doomed to get very bored very quickly. If you do find that right corp, you're golden.
  9. I have to ask. Are you using MGE XE and Morrowind Enhanced?
  10. As far as I know, you can just disable it in the options for the Morrowind Code Patch. I'm pretty sure it's under bug fixes when you go down the list of possible alterations after you use the .exe.
  11. I know this is an older topic, but you may still want to know how to restore the game so that it's newer without losing it's charm. A great resource for me was Morrowind Expanded. Some of the links are dead, so you have to look around with Google, going to sites like Morrowind Mod History and Planet Elder Scrolls. Quite a few mods are still on there, even if a few mod downloads are broken. You can also always try the nexus site for Morrowind. For clothing and armor for Better Bodies, look to Google and and Uesp. There is actually a page with some links to mods for Better bodies on there. Uesp is also a great resource for a lot of info on the game, including available spells and where you can find them. Don't be afraid to look on google for other lists and such to get info about mods you might not know about. It was a great help to me. One particular one that stood out to me was Character Maker by Zerocyde. It lets you distribute your attribute points and skill bonuses as you please. It's quite handy for making a character that specializes in certain skills. As to the speed issue. Look for the boots of blinding speed. They cast 100% blind on you, but increase your speed attribute by 200 points. If you choose Breton, you have a natural 50% resistance to magic, making you only half blind. The location of them is on the wiki. By the way, you don't have to escort her. You can just go kill her. If you want some specific recommendations beyond that initial list I linked to, feel free to message me. I know how you feel. My first game was really Oblivion, but I had some bad times with Morrowind as a kid as well. You definitely get used to Vivec City after a while and the game becomes a lot of fun once you really get into it. The combat may be off a bit, at times, but some proper leveling makes it a lot less awkward than it initially is. A final warning. The game is quite old and a couple of important sites have gone down over time(the cause of those broken links). You will have a bit of trouble, but Morrowind Mod History is attempting to restore a lot of those older mods that aren't available any more. So if you really can't find it anywhere and really want to use it, either dig deeper on the smaller sites or be patient and wait till they restore more of the mods.
  12. I have to say that you guys are planning some great things. I agree with a large majority of the ideas that have been put out there and I can't wait for a final product when this many great ideas are all in one thread. I hope you all succeed in this, since it would mean good things for the immersion factor. Keep doing what you guys are doing, since it promises good things.
  13. I hope that everything is going well in life. If not, I certainly hope that they do go well. :)
  14. I like it. It fits the concept of the mod relatively well and it adds some class to the mod, imo. I think the name will work.
  15. Lets calm down now. Someone will make it if they have the desire to do so. Modders aren't paid to do their work and demanding it, especially in caps, won't motivate them to do it more.
