  1. I'm still getting used to the UI..I can't seem to drop things out of my inventory..when I'm in inventory mode it displays 3 choices E R and F... well none of them work. I can't drop things out of my inventory so I can't run. Grrrr... and the steam thing was just a pain in the butt. I bought the game today. Sometimes when I click on a body to loot it..the activate button doesn't open up the dead characters inventory..it just nudges the characters body a bit... I really think they made this game to appease the console crowd..the compass is HUGE on the top of the screen and the sneak icon is like right in the middle of the screen lol... great graphics I must say. I will keep playing when I figure out how to drop stuff out of my inventory. blahhhhh
  2. Hi, what do you mean you can't put it on another hard drive? If I get the game I'm not putting it on this online POS computer I'm on..I'm putting on my nice computer. I'm not putting my 1500.00 computer that I build myself online. Steam Restricted? I've read many horror stories about Steam..wouldn't want to join that..lol. I even had an issue with them at one time. Mehh.. I'll prob just keep playing Oblivion. Have fun folks. :) Edit: My thought is... what about 2 years from now? I've moved or don't have a net connection anymore...can I still play Skyrim?? You all should think ahead too ;) That's a cool contest though Dark0ne. I've never joined facebook or any of those kinds of sites.
  3. Notchs' game is called Scrolls and Bethesdas' game is called Elder Scrolls. They aren't the same name, I don't see the problem it's funny what people with a crap load of money will do. It is pretty petty on both sides...lol.
  4. No worries Dark0ne. I'm greatful that I can download mods here. This site brings together people from different countries with their ideas and art. While I miss the older gameplay of ES games, this site shows art and fortitude of talented people. It is hard to vote on any one persons work. To modders out there... bring back the rpg game... not the eye candy... eye candy is cool... but finding things on your own and discovering are better... even if you die a few times at level 1. I felt stupid choosing a knight and having a heal and fireball spell.. or I'm a mage but can wear heavy armor. Anyways... you keep this site alive...peace dude
  5. Will we get to vote on the mods? I don't see a link as such. Wonder who will win :) As far as the next ES game. I HOPE its alot like daggerfall. I'd even sacrifice that eye candy in OB for that immense size of a game. Oblivion is awesome but its eye candy. Daggerfall was enormous with sooo many more angles. I can't explain it. It just was. I have it installed on a fat 16 3 gig hd it works. In OB i can't seem to get lost in a dungeon... in daggerfall well.... The ES games have become very pampered. Maybe they are directing towards a younger crowd, I don't know. I really liked the character gen in DF, with the rolling the dice and so many more skills. It had a massive map that would take a fortnight in real time to cross. Anyways..thats what I want. And may the best man win the competition.
  6. This competition will be hard to decide. There just so many good modders out there. Talented people, that put mods in the game that Bethesda should have put in already. This site brings together people from other countries with a common subject, it's cool. Well, good luck to all entries. I'm not one of them heh. :))
  7. I played MW ALOT!! when it first came out. I remember I only had a 500 Mhz cpu :)). I think MW has more depth that OB ... OB gets a 10+ for graphics. MW was more challenging, like when you got poisoned you really needed to use that cure poison potion, but in OB you aren't poisoned long enough to really need one. In MW you couldn't make a constant effect item till higher levels. In OB I looted a Amulet of breathing underwater at lv 5, which made the potions kinda useless. In MW you'd have to go find locations yourself with hints sometimes. In OB a map maker is placed where to go, then when you get there it says...You found "location" :)) Maybe they aimed OB more towards a younger crowd, I don't know, I felt a lot like i was being lead around on leash sometimes. The water in MW was way more detailed than in OB. Remembering the days of Daggerfal and Arena....OB is a cake walk in comparison. They sacrificed in depth gameplay for outstanding graphics. Reading this post makes me want to install MW again. The main quest in MW took a few months, where as in OB about 2 weeks..:| I could sit here and compare more things but that is enough. I still play OB a lot. Thanks for reading :)
  8. Thats cool Dark0ne. I appreciate this site and all you do. I'm sure you'll get it figured out. KUDOS to you bro!!!
  9. TesNexus or Tessource.. you created them and have enabled thousands of people to upload and download mods for Oblivion and Morrowind. You rock!!!! The new site is fine by me. Just having the ability to download new content is nice.. thanks dark one !!!!
