I was replying to the OP about how the mouse does not work in the menus. It does. Everywhere. Period. Example: It works. Click to the left or right and it changes, use the wheel to navigate up and down the tree.

What about my system do you think it is? I can get new hardware is need be No idea but it works great for me. Have you tried lowering the setting to see if it works? It recommended medium to me and changed it to high with no problems so far. I might go higher tomorrow considering I have a nice setup and should be able to handle it.

By definition a two step approach pressing Q then pressing the required number is not the equivalent of a 'hotkey'. A 'hotkey' would by pressing a single key bypass entering the fav menu and directly equip assigned weapon or spell I believe he is describing how to set them, not use them. You just press the number once they are set.

Yep, I used mods in Oblivion to tone them down but if you make them take to long the game becomes unstable. 3 days with the default time scale was way to short IMO. I know some people increased the spawn rate and that's one of the things that make these games great, to each there own.

I agree with the no-respawn idea. I have felt that way since Oblivion. I actually think there should be SOME re-spawn in the wilderness but not nearly as much as there is. It really does seem pointless to clear an area out when the very next time you travel through the area there are even more deadly beasts than the first time. There are so many places to go and dungeons to enter I have never had to even think about entering the same place twice.

Can't you just put the code into Steam and pre-load it like everyone else?

Seriously depends on how they treat my character and what their general philosophy is. I don't like to pre-judge such things but rather take in the info and circumstance as my character does.

I found this site when I discovered mods for Oblivion and then Fallout 3. I didn't even notice the Bethsoft forums until later and hated the format of them. Why do threads end and restart? Anyway. I like this site and have never seen the need to post there.

Yeah, I am thinking the same but I am loath to give my money straight to Steam. Maybe I should get a digital copy from Gamestop.

If I want a physical copy I'll have to wait until 10 AM on the 11th when Best Buy opens. At least with a digital copy I should be able to play at midnight. I really don't need more manuals I will never read cluttering my bookshelf anyway.

They currently have a good price on pre-order, $53.95. I bought Oblivion through them and got burned bad by not being able to use OBSE and had to buy the game again on DVD. Anyone know if that will be a problem with Skyrim? Seems that digital copies are more common now and Steam that controls the protection has its own digital version so it should be OK but I am still nervous. Anyone know for sure?

This is why I don't like to even have them. In FO3 at least they would tear across the wasteland after something I had not even seen and that had not seen me. They are no fun to have around and I don't want any. If your going to have them then why no co-op? It should be SINGLE player all the way.

It's 12 am for the west coast. You have to take into account daylight savings time which pushes the clock back 1 hr the weekend before skyrims release. So we actually gain 1 hr, hence the time discrepancy. Either way, still sucks :( I forgot about daylight savings, thanks.
