i5 2500k 560gtx ti msi frozr II OC model (she runs cold, really cold) crucial ssd 128gb. m4 series Asus pz68-v 8gb ram still using an old 1680x1050 screen from my previous pc. A modest rig compared to some of the beasts around but very affordable. Play Skyrim at ultra settings but shadows down to High, about 40 mods so far, some textures, ice, rain effects with realistic lighting, the game sits at 60 fps . I love that SSD, so good for starting up, loading games, loading locations etc. a godsend for games like Civ v and skyrim

I played a pure mage in my second playthru with Balanced magic, it was alright but lack of spells/effects and limited staff animations/variety made it hard to for continue long. What do you guys think about Midas and all the other expanded magic mods ? any mod combinations you find gel well, any conflicts? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Why does my Skyrim takes so long to Load?
seanxx replied to CoCoKrunch's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Save file at 10 mb is getting a big big maybe for your computer, There was a mod on nexus about cleaning up items in the world to reduce your save file to a more manageable size but i cant remember the name. Try the Skyrim unofficial mod, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=19 details here http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1364672-relz-unofficial-skyrim-patch-thread-5/ From that page it states "NPCs will no longer drop weapons or shields as separate objects, as these are never cleaned up which greatly adds to save bloating and litters the gameworld (the items will still appear to be dropped, but will access the corpse's inventory to be taken and be cleaned up with the corpse if left) Ash Piles, Ghostly Remains, Ice Piles and Wisp Cores will no longer permanently remain and bloat the save file (they will either disappear on exit of the cell or when the cell resets) Nirnroot glow objects will no longer stack, bloat the save and become blindingly bright; existing stacked glows will be removed" I dont know if it retroactively fixes save game bloats but. -
Wonder If anyone has had this issue? my last character was an archer and the bow damage shown on the bow then shown on the bottom of the screen was different - because of all the multipliers in the archery perk. But now im playing an assassin and my weapon damage is the same as the number shown under the actual weapon. I have 2 perks in Armsmen so it should be 40% higher no? Modwise in using Sky UI, Jaysus swords, balanced magic, Weapon and armor fixes by headbomb and a variety of purely texture mods.

Critique of the game and why I don't like it (anymore).

Skyrim is a pretty special game, it is the one game people can say with a straight face ' after playing 100 hours this is why I dont like it....' I think people are wanting too much, they want this huge sprawling world / gazillions of dungeons to explore ...but also character arcs and more depth for loads of followers and NPCs , choices that have real world consequences and a gripping narrative with amazing graphics. I too would love Witcher 2 graphics set in a T.E.S size world and artwork with Bioware voice/writing and story /character arcs, but ...is that realistic for $60 ? i think not. -
Add it to the big skyrim unofficial patch list https://unofficialskyrimpatch.16bugs.com/projects/7078

Bigv32 you asked "4. Do you have your mods folder and mod magager stored on the SSD as well?" Im just wondering is that a problem? because I have my NMM installed on my ssd (as well as skyrim of course) BUT the mod storage folder is on my slower regular HD. Should I have not done that? I thought the Mod Folder was where the NMM stored the mod zips and it didnt need to be on valuable fast ssd real estate .

I have my skrim on an SSD and it only takes a few seconds, i have about 25% free Isnt the Intel Integrated Graphics likely to be the problem?

Manshooter, Right now your hunger etc module has some issues with RWT mod right? do you think it would conflict with any other very popular mod?

Does anyone know if there is any kind of mod that changes the redguards skin tone to a more realistic black (and various shades of) skin tone ? Im not a fan of the orange black tone that the vanilla game has. Would like to have a black tone similar to Azealia Banks.

There seems to be no end of these kind of mods. Is there any consensus about which is better/ easier to install / more stable etc ? Realistic Lighting With Customization http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=7654 RCRN v20 HDR - Realistic Colors and Real Nights http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1875 all the ENB series, for example Superl3 ENB http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11318 and lots of others

I dont think its a dangerous site to views, but something is fishy about it, maybe the group behind it hope that people will use the same password to join as the their email account. Here is a thread I found about a similar Fallout sight with the exact same layout http://www.eq2flames.com/all-other-video-games/82419-gamefallout-com-something-isnt-right.html On this forum people claim just took posts from the bethesda fallout forums and reprinted them there with fake user names and photos gleamed from bot trawls of the internet. http://www.forbidden/topic/12543-gamefalloutcom-hacker/ maybe you need to use a credit card to "verify" your identity or its a pay site? really fishy stuff

I came across a fake Skyrim website, maybe using stolen forum pages from Bethesda and other sites, with fake members and stock pictures. the dates, content and everything doesn't make sense. Can we do anything to get rid of it? I think its a phishing site design to get people to join, they might use the same password as their email and thus the sites creator can access their email ? . I think they did the same thing with fallout a few years ago too. really poor. The thing that tip me off was all the users seem to be cute girls and the dates didnt match the content. the site is gameskyrim (dot) com sorry if this is the wrong forum for this kind of thing but it boils my blood to think some bottom feeding scum is using a great game like Skyrim to scam people

I heard that with the new load order adjustments in the latest patch 1.4.27 we no longer need to do this process, can anyone confirm that? and if so...... If we have declicked the esp and applied the highrestex pack bsa 1 and 2 lines to the 2 ini files, should we just leave it at that? or now its best for preventing future problems to go back and click the esp and delete the new lines from the ini files?

sorry, what does RWT stand for? Will the inventory/weight component of your mod be included this weekend? planning on pulling a sickie and diving back into skyrim early next week. thanks

This is a question relating the modding of Skyrim
seanxx replied to DarkOblivionPlayer's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
im really confused darkob your Skyrim is the xbox version right? so in what sense is skyrim "not using xbox" ? as for the moving mods from PC to xbox, sorry thats just not going to happen and that kind of talk is frowned upon around here, -
Thanks Budz42, reckon TRO is the one to go for. oh wait a NEW ONE! Thirst Hunger Sleep. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11639
-
In which module will the weight restrictions apply? just having that could go a long way to combating the tendency of the dragonborn being in the 1% club. Do you plan on keeping the carriage system for inter city transport? if so maybe around 200 gold would be a better price
-
Im using CBBe right now- for the reason many have stated, more armour/clothing mods available, but UNP is catching up fast. having said that i do find the under area and angle of cbbe breasts to be a bit odd, UNP breasts look more realistic (not talking about size as such)

Manshooter, Whats your opinion of -Imps More Complex Needs http://skyrim.nexusm...le.php?id=10639 -Basic Human Needs - Food Drink and Sleep http://skyrim.nexusm...le.php?id=10958 Im just trying to decide which one to go for.
-
Has any body played a few of these total realism- hunger, thirst, sleep, weight etc mods and decided one is better than the others? all have pretty good explanations of each area the mod covers etc but I prefer to hear from users about which one they prefer. so far im looking at Imps More Complex Needs http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10639 Total Realism - Basic Needs http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10843 Basic Human Needs - Food Drink and Sleep http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10958

could tipsy increase your speech skill? it cant all be bad;)
-
Stage 0 stuffed - will that be the default " i have just eaten stage" ? or only occur if you ate too many items at once? Just for the sake of simplicity i think 4 levels is better, throw in thirst and sleep and that's 15 different levels to gauge. levels 2 and 3 could be merged just to HUNGRY (although i love the word PECKISH)
-
That weapon name generator is really odd, I mean just making up names is the easiest thing in the world no? The Organiser Agony'sEnd Iron Lady Ball Breaker Mage Mulcher (seeing how it does shock damage )
-
Will this mod make somethings mutually exclusive? I think Smithing and enchantment are fine...but they should be mutually exclusive.
