seanxx replied to SalvadorKenway's topic in Dark Souls's Dark Souls 2
Im pretty keen on this too. I hope its doable. -
My guilty pleasure is to go through the banned accounts reports in these forums, I just love reading the offending posts. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/188-forum-rules-and-warnings/

Your hard work is much appreciated. I hope next year brings you all the site stability you guys have been aiming for in 2013. Raising a glass of arak in your honour.

Update on site work and NMM 0.50 around the corner
seanxx replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Im wondering what the changes to storing the mod files and linking to the skyrim data file by shortcuts will mean for us that use a smaller SSD for our game files but use the larger slower HDD for the NMM mod directory ? Currently as i understand it, its ok to use a slower drive for the NMM mod file as that's just the zipped file from the nexus. -
I think the nexus should take a page out of Steam's sale theory book and reduce the price of Premium membership so as to increase its uptake. I could be wrong but it seems to me that making Premium membership say.... 10 pounds a year might get 3-4 times the response, easily making thew Nexus more money. Also I expected I might be in the minority but I feel that everyone should have to become a supporter at least (however i know that some people/teenagers have no actual way to pay online, that could be difficult to work out)

Ive been hit with this problem after being free of CTDs for so long. But i get a WETriggerScript.psc error in my papyrus logs NOT in the actual game, game itself just CTDs. My appdata plugin text file doesn't even have one skyrim esm . anyone else find a solution besides the plugin text file solution ?

NMM bug fix release and download hacking problems fixed
seanxx replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
In response to post #7650262. I thought Dark0ne stated that the virus was NOT in NMM update or "download with NMM" files but in manual downloads only -
Thanks, Im wondering in the latest NMM, my mods that need updating have now grayed out triangle warning markers rather than yellow colored ones, why ?

2500k is a great cpu, Was no1 in budget enthusiast gamingcpu suggestions in a lot of pc sites a year ago. -

NMM version 0.44 released, new file servers and site updates
seanxx replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
In response to post #7516667. #7516700, #7516921, #7517121, #7517246 are all replies on the same post. Omega, this site is super serious about its anti piracy, ad income is neither here nor there compared to nexus' moral standing on this issue I think. -

I wonder if NMM will ever incorporate BOSS/wrye like functions inside the NMM architecture ? -
Are you having constant exterior CTDs? I've FINALLY found your sol
seanxx replied to yafi's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Ranjas, do the ctds happen after playing for a bit ? It could just be that your 32 bit system is running out of memory, try downgrading the graphic settings, maybe put the shadows on medium. deactivate the Bethesda HD texture pasks maybe. Enhanced blood - is that a 1024 or more texture ? that might be too much. I avoid any 2048 Hd textures and keep the 1024 to a minimum. -
Werne, My dad has a VERY similar pc, he asked me the other day if it was possible to play Skyrim. I assume you have all the game settings on Low right ? Because my father lives in another country and isnt super tech literate so i cant do all these tweaks for him. The defrag/clean case/ offline steam etc should be all doable but im not sure he would be able to do all the overclocking stuff.

It would be great If you added a function that allowed several modders to publish a mod together, that might encourage people to work together on some of the bigger overhauls. I ve seen a few great projects shine bright and then fade away because its just one modder whose appetite was larger than their stomach. Is it just coincidence but am i seeing a lot of green supporter signs ? Did you get a big pick up from your last blog post ? that is really cool, See gaming industry, transparency an communication pays off;)

Thanks Gamesever, While I dont know as much as you about such matters I agree completely, The single thing I did to make Skyrim stable was to go through my mod list and ask myself "do i really need this one?" I managed to cull it down to 50 mods and ive been ctd free ever since. I always smile when i see people post about ctd issues then post a system that includes a 32 vista or a 1 gb video card or 4 gb ram and then post a mod list longer than my arm. -
Immersive armours uses leveled lists so maybe you havent reached the level they appear at. I know that i didnt start seeing some of them until in the mid 40s.
-
Most of those would be in IMMERSIVE armors alongside Einherjar no ?
-
Rockygohard, im using Project enb with Climates of Tamariel, I choose project's extreme performance option (no Dof,ssao, bloom etc) and I think it was only dropped from 55 fps average to 45 average.
-
Horosha, it sounds like maybe one of your mods needs an dawnguard or hearthfire esp patch and you haven't enabled/DL it, thats a common issue with ctds at start up anyway. But seriously the main thing i did to make my game stable was to cull my mod list and just keep what was necessary, you have a pretty insane number of mods there, time for trimming ? I went from unstable 50ish to a ctd free life at 30. It pains me to say this but getting rid of ASIS also helped make my game a lot more stable.

Im not expert but its likely that the random ctds are from running so many mods and running out of Vram or ram. As for the fast travel predictable mod - that i dont know about, I think some hard choices are needed = you have to have a mod cull and maybe a restart if you want skyrim to be more stable. -

is Scenic Carriages compatible with DAWNGUARD ? I just had a look at the SC mod page an the comments in that mod raised a few issues. Mixing Steam and NMM, is that wise ? could that be a source of some of your instability too ? t -
Type RANGER into the nexus search box, there are a few good archer armors with that in their name.
