  1. Did you read FCOM installation guide? Because it tells you how to rebuild patch. YOU MUST NOT touch Oblivion_default.ini, this should not be changed by any means. Have you deleted "OBLIVION.INI" (inside your /Documents and Settings/Your Account/My Games/Oblivion)? Please, if you've deleted or changed Oblivion_default.ini, you should reinstall, or if you have backup, copy to ......./Oblivion folder (where it's actually installed, not in My Documents). Read FCOM installation guide carefully, you will learn a lot of things you really should know. Some mods tend to change Oblivion.ini, so I HIGHLY recommend backup of file and deleting it. All settings will reset and game 'should' run fine. Well, hope that works, and sorry for bad English.
  2. No, you must install Oblivion first, then Shivering Isles and THEN you must patch it to 1.2.416, using SI version of patch, not Oblivion 1.2.416! So you must reinstall.

  4. Try this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516 if you haven't already...
  5. Delete .ini file and restart Oblivion to create new ini. It should work. Are you using Streamline? This can cause graphic settings to reset, I mean for SL to work properly, it must reset it.
  6. OMG, luckily, he's only injured. What a coincidence!
  7. I don't face much troubles with making character too. And I always use Imperial, I can't imagine playing another vanilla or moded race, and I'm always male.
  8. Happens to me too, just refresh site in browser, and problem is fixed.
  9. 1. I'm 80% that problem is in your Oblivion.ini file. I recommend you to delete it and try playing Oblivion. Don't worry, once you start obse_loader.exe (which you MUST have for some mods), .ini file will reappear. 2.DON'T USE TamrielTravellersItemsCobl.esp with TamrielTravellersItemsnpc.esp, you must choose either one as read me indicates. It caused bugs for me. 3. Mart's Monster Mod for OOO.esp SHOULD NOT be below Bashed Patch, 0.esp, view MMM's read me for load order. I think you don't even have to use it, since some stuff are already included in FCOM. I think that first problem could be Oblivion.ini, but your load order is not good. For bigger mods, you need to follow installation process in read-mes, especially for FCOM. Please, visit sites below: http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcominstall.html http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcomloadorderexpanded.html http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcomoptions.html (this is the most important for "without bugs) installation. Well, I really hope that helps. I'm using OOO, MMM, WarCry, Cobl and FCOM without problems. Maybe my LO can help. Click on 'spoiler' button below to see how it looks. Good Luck in fixing problem, I know how irritating this can be.
  10. 1. Un-patched Oblivion will not run 95% of the mods. 2. Your Oblivion is already patched, most probably to 1.2.416, try to download and install it instead. If that doesn't work, your game is already patched. http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm Don't forget to if you own Shivering Isles you need "Shivering Isles patch 1.2.416", and NOT "Oblivion patch 1.2.416"
  11. Yesterday, I was battling bandit in camp near Sedor. I used Shock spell which damages everything in area of 15. When I fired last *shot* on him, he flied almost all the way to Cheydinhall, I guess it was some kind of bug, since he was just flying around 100 meters above ground when I killed him. Anyway, it was damn funny, haha. :woot: :woot: :woot:
  12. Restoration CAN help even if it's not your primary skill, especially if when using Supreme Magicka, if spell requires higher magicka, faster you skill grow. I'm playing warrior characters since I heard of Oblivion, so *I know* what I'm talking about.
  13. I think that *the key" to create perfect face is in complexion and and how much old it is. For complexion, I always set to around 60% - 70% and I set age to 20% - 40%. If it's set *wrongly*, you can't create perfect face (I mean kind of look you like).
  14. He used that already. RefScope only tells you where a base object comes from, not what mods affect it. The skeletons are part of Oblivion.esm, but they are being modified in some way by MMM and Haunted House, which Refscope does not reveal. Still good advice, though. Sorry, I didn't know he already tried Ref Scope (RS). But RS gives a lot of information, like view equipment, AI Packages, Basic info etc...Maybe you should check every option RS offers. If it bothers you so much, you can use console command: First, activate Skeleton via Ref Scope, view his attributes and see how much endurance he has (I 'think' that strength can affect creature's health, so check that too). After that, open console, click on skeleton and type "getav endurance (or strength) *here goes some reasonable number, like "your endurance (or strength) + 5 for example* ". I 'think' you can also type "getav health *number*", but I haven't tested it. Anyway, visit this page, it might help.
  15. Hi, sorry for bad English.... After many hours, days and weeks, Oblivion is working SO good, I couldn't believe. Also, I have mid-low end computer for Oblivion's requirements: Mainboard :Asus P5KPL Processor :Intel Pentium E2180 @ 2000 MHz Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Operating System :Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.01.2600 Service Pack 3 DirectX : Version 9.0c (septembar 2009) and Video Card: Model : NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT Bus Type : PCI-Express Converter : Integrated RAMDAC Processor : G86 PCI Express : @ x16 Bus : 128-bit Memory Type : 256 MB DDR2 - (TurboCache : 512 MB) Pixel Shader Version :4.0 And you should also know that my Oblivion is EXTREMELY MODED!! 249 .esp and .esm-s activated, more 60 .esp are merged into Bashed Patch, 0.esp. Also I have many mods that say "this may damage FPS". Before I say what was a solution, look at my load order if you're interested (click on "spoiler" below): Also there are mods that don't have .esp files: -- Bomret Detailed Normal Maps: -- Vibrant Textures, LOD and details; -- OPO (Oblivion Polygon Overhaul) -- Low Tri-Poly Grass -- Low Poly Trees -- Beaming Sunglare (v2.0) -- Improved Sky Textures -- (OBSE Plugin) Fast Exit -- (OBSE Plugin) Universal_Silent_Voice_v93 -- (OBSE Plugin) Operation Optimization v1.1 -- (OBSE Plugin) Oblivion Stutter Remover -- (OBSE Plugin) Oblivion_-Elys-_Uncapper There are some I forgot. Solution is tweaking Oblivion.ini and installing a lot of mods that positively alter performance. Mods above DO hurt visual effect, but NOT too much. It took me weeks to "establish" Oblivion and it's hard to remember everything I done. There are only four important things you MUST do to play no-stuttering Oblivion: 1.Make sure that your Operating System is fully optimized! -Visit this site 2.Tweak your Oblivion.ini as much as you can, there are a lot of guides how to tweak over the net! 3.Defragment your HD often, to keep computer "healthy"! 4.You must sacrifice visual details in the sake of performance! - Change in-game option to: Turn off HDR, turn of Anti-Aliasing, set texture size to Medium, Water Details to Normals, turn off Water Ripples, turn off shadows (optional) ---- set sliders as lower as you can, don't go over 50%. Well, this quick "how to" tutorial, and PROOF that Oblivion community made Oblivion able to be played on 75% computers, from weakest to the strongest ones and it CAN be optimized without losing too much beautiful details. Well, say something. Your BlackerrR!
  16. I can't play effectively, but I LIKE playing with marksman, but I like moded bows and arrows, since original ones are underpowered.
  17. Maybe this will help !? http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21862
  18. Hey, Darius, what's up? I haven't heard of you quite some time? How's mod going?
  19. If you install FCOM, you'll never have to 'worry' 'bout it.
  20. 1. Be sure that Phoenix Armor properly installed; 2. You CAN'T USE Smite of Order without Shivering Isles. Install SI first, then Smite spell, it's worth having it. You SHOULD visit this site: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/ Read carefully, reaaaly helps.
  21. Good idea, but I don't have time for that kind of challenge nor nerves. Anyway, good idea. :turned:
  22. Strange thing lol, try link below to identify which mod is doing this. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21862
  23. I see you have fixed the problem (congrats! I know how much annoying it can be :)) but there's one thing. I see you installed UOP v2.20, I recommend that you download UOP v3.2.0. Also, check out supplemental patch.
