  1. Reach - Igmund cannot keep the Silverbloods nor the Forsworn in lineHaafingar - Elisif doesn´t even truly rule herself and is as Imperial as Cyrodiil itselfHjaalmarch - has one of the least liked Jarls of all of SkyrimFalkreath - the less said about Siddgeir the better, as for his motivation = money!! At most, we have two Jarl choices for each hold. This has already been previously discussed in this thread, and my judgment is based mostly on goodwill, and the total credibility of each Jarl's court.Reach - I won't trust the Silverbloods to run any Hold. The Forsworn Conspiracy was coming into its climax and only time will tell whether it will resolve for the better or worse.Haafingar - The combination of Elisif and her court members is enough to rule Haafingar. Ulfric even allows her to keep her position if the Stormcloaks take Solitude and she submits.Hjaalmarch - No further discontent is evident after Movarth's secret uprising is resolved (assuming it was resolved before the Civil War ends in favor of the Stormcloaks) and very little is shown after that one-time rally. The people of Hjaalmarch seems stalwart enough to get on with their lives whoever rules them. Personally, I'd trust Iddgrod more than the other Jarl. I doubt her 'visions' getting out of control is a permanent thing.Falkreath - I can't trust either Siddgeir or Dengeir completely, but the steward is efficient enough and the rest of Falkreath are mostly good people. About Brina, she never said she's loyal to Skald; she's loyal to Dawnstar. She didn't appoint herself to the position of Jarl if the Imperials win the Civil War; she was appointed there like most of the other (replacement) Jarls, being that they are the most qualified. On other matters, some seem to totally discredit the Empire in favor of the Stormcloaks. I believe the Empire is better prepared for the inevitable war against the AD, than Ulfric who will need more time 'rebuilding' Skyrim and gaining more alliances. General Tullius even surrenders if the Stormcloaks win the Civil War because he seems to believe there is no victory in further death and will likely provide info to the Stormcloaks to help win against the Thalmor. He has no stubborn pride and he knows that the AD is the one true enemy. Can't say I like him that much but I'd trust the combination of Tullius and Rikke more than Ulfric and Galmar. I didn't mean to say the other provinces would decide based on the Skyrim's Civil War alone, but based on Ulfric in general: his heart, his pride, his decisions, and possible personal motives. I don't know enough about the current emperor to say that I'd believe in his abilities more, but enough people in Skyrim still support the Imperials. The warring factions are pretty much even until the PC decides which to join, showing that Ulfric isn't getting the default vote just because he's a Nord and 'Skyrim (supposedly) belongs to the Nords'. Also, the Thalmor are more concerned about an Imperial victory than a Stormcloak victory (although still a threat), which means that the Empire is likely better prepared for second war, strategically and/or morale-wise. (Anyway, I had a number of typos in my previous post and mistakenly said 'Thalmor' instead of 'Aldmeri Dominion' once or twice. Sorry.) Still, you'd think it wouldn't be so easy to send mercenaries back and forth Hammerfell and Skyrim if the AD troops/enforcers are that sufficient between the provinces. Just a thought. Kematu's group were supposedly there to capture someone who sold Taneth to the AD; why would they not care about these Alik'r? They're basically enemies. I also still doubt that Hammerfell is that bitter towards the Empire to not consider rejoining them. One of the biggest factors is which faction wins the Civil War, and so if the Imperials win, the Empire can only prove that they know what they are doing. Though I don't know how fast word travels between provinces. :3 As far as the game's concerned though, the current Emperor will inevitably die and I don't know if he has a successor, but it's rather apparent that it's geared towards the current Dragonborn becoming the Emperor, sooner or later. *shrug*
  2. It sounds like you are assuming that the Imperials have completely surrendered to the Thalmor. They are perfectly aware the truce will not last and are most likely preparing for another war with them. If the Stormcloaks were able to muster a force while the Thalmor are in Skyrim, why can't the Empire muster theirs? The problem is that the pretense that the Empire completely surrendered have lost them the trust/faith of a number of Nords and other races, and that the we are barely shown evidences that prove the Empire is indeed not sleeping. But I think patience is important in war. And so is a little fear, which both the Thalmor and the Stormcloaks seem to be lacking. They are way too confident or prideful that they will win. If Ulfric fails to convince the rest of the Empire and the other provinces because of the Civil War which he started, what then? His plan seems to be quite plainly to overthrow the Empire then the Aldmeri Dominion. How much time do the Stormcloaks have to conquer Cyrodiil and then forge new alliances with the other races before the Dominion acts? I think the Empire is better prepared for a retaliation against the Dominion, and that the Civil War was such a bad move that only helps the Dominion more. How many more bad moves will Ulfric make? There is a book in-game that says/insinuates that the acceptance of the White-Gold Concordat was part of the Empire's strategy. (Found a copy in the shack with a bear but I forgot the name. D:) I think that by letting the enemy into their territory, they are also learning more about them. "Know Thine Enemy" as they say, or "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.". I'm quite certain the Empire will learn more about the Thalmor than the other way around, being that they've been into northern Tamriel while so few, if any, have been to Summerset Isles. And that Hammerfell is not that bitter towards the Empire. Perhaps by letting the Thalmor into Cyrodiil and Skyrim, the Dominion are spread farther, decreasing their numbers in certain areas; few enough that Hammerfell was able to send some Alik'r to look for a fugitive who sold Taneth to the Thalmor, for example. (But whether Kematu or Saadia was telling the truth is a topic for another day. :3) The question is how much can the Empire communicate with their neighbors as we've been shown little of the Empire's movements in-game.
  3. I'm kinda bothered with capturing souls into soul gems as well and have started playing without enchanting anything. :3 You should just duplicate the magic effect and put the condition there. If not, you can simply uncheck auto-calc to remove the costs, though I've read somewhere that setting the costs and stuff in the Magic Effect is better. *shrug* *Putting a condition on the Subject in the Spell makes it reference the caster. *Putting a condition on the Subject in the Magic Effect makes it reference the actual target of the spell. (Target in the Magic Effect references the caster.) Then you can put these conditions on the Magic Effect: 'Subject HasKeyword ActorTypeUndead == 1' 'Subject IsUndead == 1' *I read that putting too many conditions on the Spell itself can cause performance issues. *Spell Conditions are checked constantly. For example: 'Subject IsInCombat == 1' condition on a Constant Cloak will turn the Cloak on only if the 'Caster' is in combat and will turn it off when not in combat. *Magic Effect Conditions are checked only once upon casting. For example: 'Subject HasKeyword ActorTypeUndead != 1' or '== 0' will check if the Target hit was not Undead when it was hit by the Spell and will apply the Magic Effect for the entire duration, but it will not know if the Target became Undead after it was hit. :3 Hopefully I got the condition functions and terminologies right. lol I can't help much with scripting but maybe you can look for a way to disable other 'Soul Gem'-type objects while your custom soul gem is in the inventory, or to at least make the game prioritize your soul gem first. You can try checking out the Smart Souls(?) mod. If all else fails and you give up, I believe there's a mod that allows the player to enchant using magicka. I don't know how that stands with the lore though, heh.
  4. ^ *ehem* I do miss Magicka: Wizard Wars... greatly. T_T I think the mod idea should be tamed a bit more for lore reasons though. *shrug* On another note, there's the Windhelm arena faction mod released quite recently. Forgot the name though. Possibly has the words 'pit fighter' in it. Might satisfy your request in some ways.
  5. ^ I found the same mod before but... how? Via TES5Edit? I didn't wanna break the mod so I just didn't download it and hoped that the author would eventually respond to the suggestion. xD
  6. I can confirm that Demoralize + Concentration + Aimed works as a cloak's associated spell. Same with Calm iirc. I don't have the Hostile flag checked though. Have you tried setting the magnitude to something really high like 99? xD
  7. Sorry for the late reply. Are you still having this problem? What method do you use? Do you just press 'Record' then 'Save'? Or do you replace the Temp.wav file with your audio file then press 'Save'? I use the latter method and it generates the lip file fine. I've never used the 'Generate Lip File' button on the Topic Info window. xD
  8. ^ Wait, did you edit the vanilla magicPlaceActivatorScript? o.O
  9. Are they vanilla-voiced? They'll only talk to each other if they have dialogue for each other, such as scenes.
  10. I feel like the quest dialogue conditions may be blocking the dialogue from being spoken. *shrug* <- That doesn't make sense because the dialogue does show up on her... but have you tried removing them? Just leave the condition on the topic info. Try checking if the lip file for the dialogue is actually there. Your Edit Response screenshot seems to say that there's no lip file saved and you have the Has Lip File flag checked in the topic info. (iirc though, the dialogue should still be spoken regardless of that flag, just not sure about the lip movement.) Priority (which I believe only changes the order of the dialogue showing up compared to other dialogues available to her) and the Quest Type are not necessary, I think. (If all else fails... are you sure it's right Runa you're talking to? xD) Sorry, I can't be of help much since I've never tried adding custom dialogue to vanilla(-voiced) NPCs, but there other mods, like Fantasy Followers, that do that iirc. You can try checking them out if you can't get out of this dead end. Good luck. :)
  11. You need to create your own Flame Cloak Magic Effect. You can start by duplicating the vanilla Fire-and-Forget one (right-click on it and select Duplicate), then open your duplicate and change the casting type to Concentration. Change the name of the Magic Effect (for organization), then click OK. Go back to your Spell and add your new Concentration Flame Cloak Magic Effect. (I hope I understood your question and that my answer is understandable. xD)
  12. ^ Always appreciated. I know we are few, but I keep at it in the name of fun, creativity, and giving back to the community. :3 My work on this has been slow, and I've released a couple of other mods in between the start of this 'project' and now. I really hope my work has been enough. xD *ehem* - ANNOUNCEMENT -The Temple of Meridia Update is coming soon! To those who installed the BETA, I recommend reverting to a previous mod version or making a clean save before installing the new update when it arrives - for the full experience. :3 It will still be playable otherwise, but the new spells/abilities added in the update cannot be acquired without console commands. Don't expect a lot but it's been fun working on it and I hope you'll enjoy it too! I did my best to keep it as interesting, 'immersive', and 'lore-friendly' as I can. It took me several months (of lazy modding) until I finally made the mod update worthy enough for release. My vision has always been to have Meridia's presence be felt more in Skyrim and/or to have the player feel like they are indeed the Champion of Meridia. Coming in the update: - several fixes, improvements, and additions to existing features, dialogue, and spells (*Dialogue lines are now approximately 400+ in total, unless the CK is lying to me. lol) - a number of new spells and effects, including the ability to summon Equinox the Auroran to your location and teleport to his location - a number of new characters to meet and love or hate or ignore (:3 *two are custom-voiced; three are generic; one is Draugr-voiced; and two are mute) - a cleaned-up temple with beds and safe chests to use - a new way to renounce the other Daedric quests - a new 'Grim Reaper'-inspired enemy that will hunt you down (*He has more abilities in his own mod which I released a while ago. :3) Credits in advance: - badgremlin - 'moving wings' - for Nylhac and Yndikos - wynxombii - 'Roughspun Tunic - Retexture' - for Seth the Acolyte - NULL9 - 'Male Cleric Armor' - for Yndikos - yymmdd2 - 'Conjure Meri-Dama and Meridia' - for 'Conjure Meridia's Beacon' - wiikki - 'Lilith's Sickle - Custom Scythe' - for the Nightbringer*Only certain assets of each mod are used. I'm preparing myself for the really tiresome writing of an in-depth description + screenshots and, of course, the archiving of the mod asset files. xD I really hope it's not going to be as hard as I think it to be. But such is the way of modding, haha. Lastly, if anyone still has things to report, ideas to give, or has interest in working on the mod in any way, feel free to communicate with me. I try to be as active as I can though I don't always have internet. lol Thanks~
  13. ^ Sorry but no. I've always played lawful characters. XD
  14. Ah, right. But then (IIRC) the Augur also called the staff as the 'Staff of Magnus' so does it really have anything to do with Magnus or any relative et'Ada? :3 Tolfdir may not have been way off about its true identity.
  15. ^ Just a small correction: It was Lorkhan who convinced/tricked the et'Ada, including Magnus, into the creation of Mundus. Then Magnus, and many other et'Ada, left before it was completed when they found out that the creation process would consume their powers significantly. (I hope I said that correctly. xD) If I remember correctly, it was the Psijic monks who first mentioned it to the player character that the orb was the 'Eye of Magnus'. Then the Augur of Dunlain also called it the same later on. So... questions: Did they both just go with the 'Eye of Magnus' name and/or they are both hiding the orb's true 'identity'? Who knows more than the other - the Psijics or the Augur of Dunlain? What then is the 'Eye of Magnus' (and the Staff of Magnus) if not an artifact from Magnus himself?
  16. (I'm not the right person to ask but) if you count lying in your bed with your face down and your eyes closed as brainstorming, then yes, this is my brainstorming process. xD I do 'brainstorming' when there's something in what I did/made that needs fixing. Ideas just come and go, I suppose. I don't exactly 'brainstorm' for ideas for the most part, at least in modding. :3 I'm sure other people are more organized than I am.
  17. I'm no creative genius lol, but I think it's the want or need to do something about what you're not satisfied with or maybe just underwhelmed with. Plus, positive feedback is always very encouraging. Basically, you get the chance to express your creative frustrations and receive positive feedback for it, so it's a win-win situation. xD *shrug*
  18. I just came up with a workaround but it may not be a good one. :3 I really hope SkyTEST will get updated in terms of animals fleeing. (Keep tracking SIlver Tongue, I guess, and hope that I come up with a solution, heh.)
  19. Glad you finally found it out. :) Happy gaming. xD
  20. Welcome to Skyrim, where things go buggy for no particular reason. XD I'm a fan of quicksaving and have been using it ever since. However, that does not mean it's free from 'bugs'. An issue with quicksaving that I've experienced (not sure if this is unique to quicksaving) is that when an enemy hasn't detected you yet, there's a chance that he'll have detected you already when you reload a (quick)save near that enemy. (I hope I made sense.) In other words, saves can be really unreliable. Do you have autosave on? There's a problem with autosave on changing locations where it causes objects to scatter in the cell you're entering. -.- I decided to finally turn that off quite recently and just rely on quicksaving and autosaving on character menu (5 mins.). Less time in loading screens forr me too. :3 What I've read though is that it's better to just use hard-saving and/or saving via console commands. Takes more time though... I think Faendal disappearing has almost nothing to do with the saves. It's the traps. I've had a follower of mine disappear once because I decided to rush through a set of swinging axes without telling them to wait beforehand. I believe that when NPCs get hit, there's a chance they'll be moved to a space outside of the cell bounds. *shrug* If AFT includes a function to move your followers to your current position, you could have tried that. Lastly, if Faendal is still turning hostile, you can temporarily make use of a calming spell or ability like the Voice of the Emperor and see if Faendal still turns hostile after that. Type, for example, 'help calm' then 'player.addspell (insertcodehere)', then after you're done, type 'player.removespell (insertcodehere)'. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good luck. xD
  21. If any of the vanilla Calm effects don't work (like Elias555 suggested), you can try my mod 'Silver Tongue' which adds a Ceasefire ability (which doesn't quite live up to its name but still works). Click on the fourth image to the right in my signature. :3
  22. One would say it's likely caused by a mod but :O, your list! I'd assume you accidentally assaulted or committed a crime against someone like Anise (or a chicken in Riverwood). Faendal is a no-crime NPC. You need to make sure that before committing a 'crime' against a civilian who's hostile or turns hostile, is that they're actually hostile. :3 I had this problem once with Faendal too and it was repeatable. Turns out, it was because I killed Anise when she technically yielded. *shrug* Good thing it happened not too long after a recent save so I just reloaded back to the time before I killed Anise. (This time, it was Faendal who finished her off. xD *ehem* Say 'no' to violence, heh.) Have you tried Googling about it? Maybe you'll find a similar case.
  23. But even the Augur of Dunlain called it the 'Eye of Magnus' if I remember correctly. I wouldn't be one to question the Augur. xD
  24. Isn't it 'The Senile Scribbles'? Already watched that. xD Kinda wished it stayed SFW but funny nonetheless. Come check out Skyrim IRL by Video Bakery. :)
