People who think it's okay to erase diversity from video games tend to be the sorts who vote to erase diversity from education, government and public life as a whole.
-
No, they aren't. Mods of that nature are simply removing something from a GAME, that some folks don't particularly care for. It doesn't affect you in any way, shape, form, or manner. No one is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to download it and install it, or even so much as visit that particular page. The makers of these sorts of mods absolutely to vote for and try to pass laws that call for the removal of people like me. Or they whinge about 'forced diversity' just because a multiply marginalised character is produced. Guess what? They do exist - I'm one!
-
Mods that erase people like me is literally denying me the right to exist.
-
Oh lovely, another day in which my right as a person who belongs to multiple marginalised groups to exist openly without erasure is being debated again. The erasure of diversity is a bad thing, mmkay?

I've never had kids or a spouse and I'm doing great. Not everyone needs the expected narrative of marriage and kids to be happy. Most of my interactions are online and I'm perfectly okay. :)

This is the correct answer. What about spiders? They are people too. Bottom line, its their game, you're not playing their instance. If they dont want it, They are free to decide. Dude, you did not just compare queer people to spiders. Did I? All living things are equal to me. The mods that got banned erased me, a queer person, from the game. There's a big difference between sentient people and spiders, mate. If sentient spiders were a thing, your example would have merit, but until then I think it's just whataboutism.

Mods which erase entire groups of people deserve to be banned, pure and simple. The two most egregious examples of mods frequently banned erased me as a person. So they deserved to be banned.

People's gender identities aren't up for debate.

Will Nexus Mods become openly Islamophobic in the future?

As a queer person, it's always wonderful to see people using their faith - any faith - as a reason to remove you from existence.
