Download history was displayed for me yesterday, in fact I last checked one of the Nexus game sites about 19 hours ago and my tracked mods list showed only 2 mods that had been updated recently and not downloaded. Now every Nexus site shows every single tracked mod as "Updated" and never, ever downloaded! Sadly this happens every so often, not much anyone can do except wait for Nexus sites to sort themselves out. Would be nice to get some sort of official response, but I suspect Nexus staff are either unaware of this issue or they don't know what the solution is. *shrug* EDIT: Just checked and all of my download history is now displayed correctly once again. The real question is whether this is a permanent fix or just temporary? Seeing as the staff aren't saying anything then I guess it's anyone's guess as to what's happening!

Got onto Skyrim Nexus for almost 10 minutes, then got a "500 internal error" message followed by the "maintenance" message once again! I fully understand that weekends and especially Sundays are the busiest times for the Nexus but I wonder if there may be more going on than just site traffic exceeding the capability of the Nexus to stay online!
-
Is there something more serious going on? Skyrim Nexus loaded fine for me a few minutes ago, I clicked on a link and I got the "maintenance" message again! :(
-
No idea if any admins are aware of any problems, but it seems that all mod sites are currently down for "maintenance" and have been for at least 40 minutes now. Normally when I get this I just check back every 30 minutes or so, if there is a database problem then that's probably why the sites are down for "maintenance" so all we can do is be patient while the problem gets fixed.

That's an old link, there is no TESNexus anymore which is why you're seeing that page. TESNexus used to host mods for both Morrowind and Oblivion but it was split into seperate sites for each game. Your best option would be to search the relevant site for the mod that link is for. I tried changing the link you posted to: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/16014/? and I got a mod called "Health Regeneration". Is that the one you are looking for? EDIT 1: Correcting the "link" that the forum automatically created from the majority of my second paragraph! EDIT 2: Adding reason for first edit to avoid any confusion! ;)

I've been having slow loading problems with all Nexus sites for the last 1 hour 40 minutes but whatever the problem was seems to be resolved, at least for now. I've checked FO3 Nexus, FONV Nexus, Skyrim Nexus and Oblivion Nexus without any problems now, whereas over an hour ago none of them would load. Obviously the forums also seem to be working correctly now as well, so hopefully all's good with the Nexus once more. EDIT: The forums are indeed loading normally now, no slow loading at all.

All mod pages show no content, only the letter 'E'
GrizzlyUK replied to KefkaticFanatic's topic in Site Support
Apologies for the late reply, been busy with other things! ;) It happens on every mod page I visit, regardless of which Nexus game site I'm on. It only happens on the initial load, once the mod page has loaded if I click on any of the other tabs (Files, Images, Posts, etc) and then click on the "Back" button to return to the "Desc" the page will load correctly with the Description. Refreshing the page will also load the page correctly, further testing shows that after refreshing one mod's page the next 1 or 2 mod pages I visit will load correctly but after then it simply returns to failing to load the Description. It happens on both Firefox 26.0 and IE8 so I doubt it's a browser specific problem. I use Java Standard Edition version 7 Update 45 (build 1.7.0_45-b18) and if I check for any updates I get a message that I'm using the latest version. I try to keep everything else up-to-date as well, so I'm not too sure what could be causing this on my end. Ah well, if it's not a server side error and is instead something on my PC that's causing this then I'm at a loss as to what it could be. -

Still getting this with mod pages, when the page loads the "Description" fails to load even though the "Desc" tab is highlighted and I have to click on the tab to get the "Description" to actually load. The "Description" part of a mod page used to load automatically when visiting the mod page, but now it doesn't. Is this fixable or not? While not a big deal either way it would at least be nice to know one way or the other. -

I'm using Firefox 26 and this is what I get: http://www.4shared.com/download/WecXeI2H/Nexus_mod_sites_error.jpg Notice that the "Desc" tab is highlighted but the Description isn't actually displayed, no "E" or anything. It's the same for every mod on all Nexus sites, I have to click on the tab to get the Description to actually display. I've also checked with IE8 and the same thing happens with that browser, it's also the same whether I'm logged in or logged out. -
Why you people dont care about questions and requests?
GrizzlyUK replied to JusticeX's topic in Site Support
What question or request are you referring to? It really does help to actually provide some information if you're complaining about something! -
Change isn't always a smooth process, improvements don't always go perfectly but while the recent troubles are somewhat frustrating for everyone (including Robin) we just have to be patient and allow Robin and his team whatever time they need to get things sorted! The Nexus isn't dead nor is it a "failed experiment", it will continue to grow, expand and improve as time goes by. Might I suggest that you keep a backup of all your downloaded files so that you can avoid having such trouble at any point in the future! ;)

Is the file listed in your Download History? You can access that from the Files dropdown menu, it's the last one on there. If not then you might want to check this thread: Issues with downloads not showing in your download history?

Issues with downloads not showing in your download history? Give feedb
GrizzlyUK replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Support
Are you downloading your files manually through your browser or are you using NMM? If you're using another mod manager like Mod Organizer then let me know. Manually via browser If through the browser, what browser are you using? Firefox 26 now, but would have been Firefox 25 at the time Is this happening for all files or just certain, particular files? Just one file that I've noticed so far If it's happening for all files, when was the last time this worked for you (check your download history page and tell me the "Last download" date) The file that failed to show in my download history was downloaded on 27 Oct 2013, around 19:45 If it's only happening for specific files, which files? Hackle-lo Fixed Does it happen all the time no matter what file you download? How many files have you tried? And they all failed to show in your download history? To date I've only found one file that I downloaded that failed to be logged in my download history What file server are you downloading from? I need to know the specific file server. I normally use the London UK 2 file server Have you tried changing your location settings in NMM to ensure you download from a completely different server/area? Does it work if you download from another area? I don't use NMM Are you Premium or non-Premium (simply posting here will answer that question). Non-Premium -
Is there something wrong with the connection ?
GrizzlyUK replied to Tony1999's topic in Site Support
I started getting the problems I reported earlier at around 16:15 GMT/UTC and continued for around 45+ minutes, that was the point at which I gave up trying to access any Nexus mod sites. Tried to access these forums about 40-45 minutes ago and got a 504 timeout! The Nexus mod sites are loading but, for some reason, they all load with the "Tracked Files" tab open instead of opening on the "Site News" tab as they usually do. This is happening on both FF26 and IE8 for me, I'm not seeing any problems with any other websites. Just double-checked SkyrimNexus and now I'm getting the "We have taken down this site while we perform some maintenance. We'll be back soon so please be patient" message. EDIT @ 21:00 : Now either the page won't load or I get this message: But the page never loads, it just seems to stop at that message! -

GrizzlyUK replied to Tony1999's topic in Site Support
Currently unable to get any Nexus mod site to actually load with either Firefox or IE, even loading these forums was very slow so I suspect there's some sort of problem somewhere! EDIT: Whatever the problem is it seems to be somewhat intermittent, SkyrimNexus finally loaded and seemed to be responding but after about 2 minutes it just stopped responding and now it won't load again! -
All mod pages show no content, only the letter 'E'
GrizzlyUK replied to KefkaticFanatic's topic in Site Support
Sometimes I get this problem, but for about a week or more the "Description" just fails to load when I visit any mods page, I don't even get that "E" showing, just nothing. I have to click on the "Desc" link to get the "Description" to load! EDIT: Just to clarify, I get this on all Nexus mod sites, I click on a mod's link and everything on the page except the "Description" loads, refreshing the page doesn't fix it either, I have to click on the "Desc" link to get it to load. -
FireFox 25.0.1 is working just fine for me with all the Nexus mod sites. I always use manual downloads and apart from the usual slowdowns at peak periods I can download files using FireFox without any problems (I downloaded two files earlier today). It would therefore appear to be a problem at your end, not with any of the Nexus sites, as bben46 suggests, check all your options in FireFox and check any add-ons to see if one of them may be blocking something. If in doubt just disable all add-ons and see if the problem still occurs, if it does then it's something in your options, if the problem goes away with all add-ons disabled then it's one of them that's causing the problem.

Nexus Mods centralisation complete, we now support mods for all games
GrizzlyUK replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
In response to post #10410226. #10410319, #10410452, #10410664, #10410800, #10410818, #10410977, #10411011 are all replies on the same post. Looks like this one's been fixed now! :) My Tracking Centres for Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 are now showing files and my Skyrim Tracking Centre is still fine! :) Many thanks to Dark0ne for the quick fix to this particular issue, here's hoping all the other issues are dealt with soon as well. -
I've just checked all mine (Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2) and the Tracking Centre on each site is now populated correctly! Thanks for the quick fix! The Tracking Centre for Skyrim wasn't affected for me, although I can't check that atm due to "504 Gateway Time-out" errors! :( Are individual file download histories also affected? EDIT: Skyrim Nexus has now loaded and my Tracking Centre there is still intact.

It might be best to wait a day or two before starting the process of adding mods back to your Tracking Centre. That way it will allow Dark0ne some time to investigate and, hopefully, fix whatever has caused this. -
I suspect everyone will be affected by this problem! Some sort of error in the database merge would be my guess. My Tracking Centres for Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 are all empty now! My Skyrim Tracking Centre is currently fine and appears to be unaffected by whatever has caused the wipe on all the other Nexus game site Tracking Centres! No idea if this is fixable by Nexus staff, though I really hope it is! While this isn't the first time I've had a Tracking Centre wiped out this is the first time that virtually all of them have been wiped at the same time! I really hope these can be restored, apart from the time involved in having to re-build our Tracking lists, there's no way I'm going to be able to remember every single mod I've ever added for tracking!

Just use the manual download option and then add the downloaded archive to NMM for installing. While I'm not an NMM user I've seen others saying this can be done. I'm still getting problems with both of the London, UK servers. :( I've now started using the American servers for large file downloads, simply because the two London servers are currently so unreliable!

New mod author comment moderation features and updated terms of servic
GrizzlyUK replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
While I can understand the reasoning behind introducing this new "mod authors can moderate everything about their own file uploads" system there really does need to be more of a fallback system in place. As it stands this is going to be very open to all sorts of abuse by mod authors, please do note here that not that I'm saying it will, it's just that the potential for abuse is there! Scenario A: an author uploads a new mod, a user downloads and subsequently posts some feedback (maybe the user simply had problems with the mod, maybe the mod has flaws). Mod author doesn't like the feedback so deletes the comment. User asks why their feedback comment was deleted, mod author deletes that comment. User tries again, mod author bans the user from downloading the mod and also bans the user from downloading all their other mods. User has no fallback to report abuse of the system. While I know that's something of an extreme example, the simple fact there is the potential for abuse of the system means that sooner or later it will be abused by a mod author! If any user feels that they've been dealt with unfairly they should, at least, be able to report that, in the same way that a mod author can report abuse etc from any user! By all means introduce new rules etc to improve how things work, but don't create rules that are too one-sided and open to abuse, however slim the chance of abuse may be! If one mod author does abuse the system it will likely have a negative effect on the Nexus as a whole! -
Question about deleting folders/mods in mod folder
GrizzlyUK replied to Valkyrie's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'm not an NMM user so I can't really give any specific advice. Have you tried reading through the NMM documentation regarding duplicate mods etc? I would think duplicates should be safe to delete, so long as you keep the most recent version. However, if hard drive space is such an issue, deleting a few mods won't really help much. Maybe you should consider either a larger hard drive or a second hard drive. *shrug*
