You need to read the comments section for the USKP, particularly the sticky posts by Arthmoor which contain instructions for NMM users and the required load order for the latest versions of the Unofficial patches now that they are all false-esm's. If you use BOSS (which you should) you need at least v2.1.1 with the latest masterlist to ensure that BOSS will sort your load order correctly and if you use Wrye Bash you need to upgrade to 304.2 so that Bash can deal with the false-esm's correctly.

Controls do not function very well anymore
GrizzlyUK replied to Silverglow's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Things that you can do that will help others help you: Include a copy of your load order along with a list of any other non-.esm/.esp mods. Your load order only lists those mods with an .esm/.esp that you have to activate to enable the mod, it won't include any texture replacers etc. Did the problem start randomly or after installing a mod? How do you install mods? Manually or via a mod manager? If so, which one do you use? What other mod utilities do you use? Wrye Bash? BOSS? TES5Edit? My first thoughts are that maybe you've installed an animation replacer or a skeleton replacer and that you may have missed performing a required part of the installation. Please remember that others can only help based on the information that YOU provide, so please try to include as much info as possible. -
Skyrim not updating or do I need a DLC to have 1.9.32.0.8?
GrizzlyUK replied to maxernst's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thank you VERY much, I see it now. That eliminates 100% of that confusion. Just knowing where to look for an accurate read on the version number is very soothing to me, I can now proceed with some amount of confidence with adding custom content to this game. Thanks again. You're welcome and I'm happy to have been of some help. For anyone new to Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls games I'd strongly suggest you bookmark the UESP (Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages) as they have a huge wealth of information about all of the games! ;) -
Accidentally Pasted Hialgoboost into Data file now crashing
GrizzlyUK replied to s3anizl3's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Ok man I did this and it said it replaced 2 files, I'm running skse though and it is running through the Bethesda intro but its still crashing, you think skse might have been affected by this steam process? If you think SKSE may have been affected then simply re-install it. Things to check first though: Can you start the game normally without SKSE? If the game starts OK without SKSE can you start a new game and load a save? If you can then re-installing SKSE may fix whatever the problem is, however, if you can't start the game normally or load a save then the problem may be more than just SKSE needing to be re-installed. Double-check that you've actually removed/deleted EVERY file that HiAlgoBoost installed, then re-verify your game cache again from Steam, re-install SKSE and then try running the game again. Worst case scenario is that you'll simply have to completely un-install the game and start over! Depending on what mods you have installed etc, that might be a faster way to resolve the problem. -
Dragon Age 2 sub-forums "missing" or "hidden"
GrizzlyUK replied to GrizzlyUK's topic in Site Support
The first link takes me to the main Nexus Forums with links to all the various forums and the second link takes me to the Dragon Age 2 sub-forums as I describe in my first post. However, if I log out most of the "missing" sub-forums are displayed (still no sign of the Uploaded Files or Uploaded Images sub-forums) but they vanish again once I log in. My browser is FireFox 25.0 but I've also tested using IE 8.0.6001.18702 and it's exactly the same. I'm attaching some images that should, hopefully, show what I mean. First image is logged out, second image is logged in, both at the second link you give. http://dc699.4shared.com/img/S9bDArSz/14248bed030/DA2_Nexus_Forums_logged_out.jpg http://dc666.4shared.com/img/eHNs0QjW/14248bead08/DA2_Nexus_Forums_logged_in.jpg -
Ever heard of personal choice? To the OP, go to Guide: Mod Organizer and scroll down to find the section titled "Uninstalling MO and fixing NXM association in Windows".
-
As with any mods, using STEP is a personal choice. You don't mention which mods you're installing, what your load order is nor what your system specs are but it sounds as if you may be installing too many resource intensive mods that your system simply cannot handle. For example, too many HD texture replacers on a low to mid system is not a good thing. Only you know what sort of mods you like, so just install the mods that you want, keeping in mind your system specs. The only mods I would consider as essential are the Unofficial patches, beyond that it's just personal choice.

Skyrim not updating or do I need a DLC to have 1.9.32.0.8?
GrizzlyUK replied to maxernst's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Run the game, load a save and then press "Esc" to bring up the game menu then look in the lower left corner of the game menu to see the correct version number. If you're viewing the Version info from the properties of TESV.exe then it only shows the version as 1.9.32.0 but the version number in the in-game menu will show as 1.9.32.0.8. -
I haven't experienced any actual site errors at all this weekend. Having said that, these days I tend to visit the various Nexus sites I'm interested in at times that avoid the usual peak times.
-
When I look at the DA2 sub-forums I only see the ones for Dragon Age 2 Modding (Dragon Age 2 Mod Talk; Dragon Age 2 Mod Troubleshooting; Dragon Age 2 Mod Requests and Dragon Age 2 Mod Building). There's no sign of the News, Discussion, Spoilers, Technical Support, Uploaded Files, Uploaded Images or any of the other sub-forums that all the other game sub-forums have. I know the Dragon Age 2 Technical Support sub-forum exists because I recently found it from a Google search and have posted in a thread in that sub-forum, yet when I search my profile for posts none of my posts in that thread are listed either! So, is there a reason as to why so many of the DA2 sub-forums are "missing" or "hidden"? Also, under each games link to their sub-forums is a link to their appropriate Nexus site EXCEPT Dragon Age 2, which has a link to: http://dragonage.nexusmods.com/ instead of: http://dragonage2.nexusmods.com/. EDIT: Had to reformat the second paragraph because the site was automatically creating one single link out of the two links I posted!

Could this be why Skyrim Nexus won't load properly for me today? After several tries the main page finally loaded but the "Site News" section failed to load and just showed the spinning loading icon. Clicking on the "Files -> New recently" link resulted in a "504 Gateway Time-out". Other links on SkyrimNexus are painfully slow at the moment, usually ending in a "504 Gateway Time-out" as well. I've checked a few other Nexus sites (FO3 Nexus, FONV Nexus, Morrowind Nexus and Oblivion Nexus) and they all appear to be OK, it's just Skyrim Nexus that's not working properly for me this evening. Oh, and just to be clear, I'm not posting to complain, I'm simply posting as a report that I'm currently experiencing some issues with Skyrim Nexus. EDIT: All seems to have resolved itself, Skyrim Nexus is working normally for me now. Just an occasional slow down. Feel free to move along, nothing of interest to see here anymore! ;)

Visited Skyrim Nexus at 02:50 GMT, for 13 minutes it was working great, fast, responsive etc. Then the slowdowns started, clicking a link would give the "Waiting for www.skyrimnexus.com..." message, when a mod's page eventually loaded if I clicked on any of the tabs (Files, Images, Comments, etc) I'd get a "Content loading" message with a little spinning graphic but the content wouldn't actually load. Tried to go back to the main page and I got a "The connection was reset" message! Left the site for a while, returned at 03:34 GMT, it's still a little slow but pages and content are loading. Managed to download a couple of files during the earlier visit, looks to be a few others I'd like to check out but it's a little hard when the site won't load any of the tabs (Description, Files, Images, etc)!
-
It doesn't seem too bad at the moment, been a couple hours since the last "The connection was reset" message. It's been a bit slow at times since then (as in taking a bit more than 5 seconds for a page to load), currently got Skyrim Nexus running in a 2nd tab and, sadly, as I'm typing this I just got another "The connection was reset" message! Hit the Reload Current Page button, and after 46 seconds the page did reload. Tried to go back to the main page and I get another "The connection was reset" message! Hit the Reload Current Page button again and this tiem the page reloaded almost immediately! I'm using FireFox v8.0 in case that's of any help.

Not sure what info you may need to determine if there are other issues. As far as I can tell my internet connection is working fine, all the other Nexus sites load fine, no problems with those. It's just Skyrim Nexus that gives me problems, as VictoriaG stated, it's slow, unresponsive or just simply fails to load.
-
Might want to check the Skyrim Nexus Issues thread, it's just 1 or 2 topics below this one! :whistling:
-
Do you want details on the issues I get when trying to access Skyrim Nexus? If so, what sort of details would you need?
-
I'd say count yourself lucky you can even get to the point of being able to download a file from Skyrim Nexus! In the last 3 days I've managed to download just 8 files, I would have downloaded more but most of the time the site simply won't work long enough for me to get to the point of being able to actually download anything! I know the site is getting huge amounts of traffic, but I suspect that it's just going to get worse for the next month or so, especially once the Creation Kit is released and even more mods start appearing!

Nexus hits 2.5 million registered members, competition ending soon
GrizzlyUK replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
I joined in August 2003 and I'm still "active", in that I visit the Nexus sites on a fairly regular basis! ;) I'm sure there are others still active who've been here even longer, in fact I seem to recall a forum thread about such a topic from earlier this year. Anyways, massive congratulations to the entire Nexus community, but especially to Robin, without whom we wouldn't even have the Nexus sites! Well done one and all. :) -
Now there's a trip down Memory Lane! I don't recall whether it was Morrowind Mod Library or Morrowind Chronicles that I originally joined, though it was probably Morrowind Mod Library. Since then I've followed along with each of Dark0ne's creations and I hope he's finally managed to create the site(s) he always wanted! For anyone who really wants to stay around this community it's as simple as following the site rules, just remember that Dark0ne owns these sites and therefore he gets to make the rules that everyone else should follow. But think on this, if Dark0ne is really as bad as some people try to make him out to be, would he have been running so many successful sites for the last 10 years? Realistically, if it wasn't for Dark0ne and his very dedicated team of Admins and Moderators these sites wouldn't exist and neither would this community! One of these days I'll give Dark0ne a surprise and pay for a lifetime membership!

I've been trying to access the Tracking Centre on TES Nexus for the last couple of hours but every time I click on the "Tracking Centre" link on the main page I get a new page with the following error: I am logged in on TES Nexus, everything else appears to be working fine, it's just the link for the Tracking Centre that gives the error. I've checked the "Tracking Centre" link on DA Nexus, FO3 Nexus and FONV Nexus and it works correctly on those sites. It was fine when I was on the site late last night (around 02:00 BST) so I'm wondering if this error is related to the server move somehow? Is anyone else getting this error? I'll check back later for replies and to see if the error still persists. EDIT: I just checked and the error appears to have been fixed or it's fixed itself, either way the "Tracking Centre" link on TES Nexus is now working correctly.

OK, so I've been trying to work out how to add existing dialogue to existing NPC's, in other words, no new dialogue and no new NPC's. Just using what is already available. As an extension of this, I'd also like to know how to add a topic to multiple NPC's, such as a generic greeting, I can see in the GECK that there's about 3 Greeting topics that are assigned to multiple NPC's, but I can't work out how that's done. I've been searching these forums and the internet without much luck. I've found plenty of tutorials that explain how to create custom NPC's and custom dialogue, but I've failed to find anything that explains how to add an existing topic to an NPC or copy an existing topic from one NPC to another NPC. I'm probably missing something fairly simply and obvious, but I've now spent several hours trying to figure this out and got exactly nowhere! :wallbash: So please, can anyone help me out with this?

reproguide and Doc Barrows problem
GrizzlyUK replied to t1amat's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Somehow I suspect that it would be a good idea to actually say which mod this quest is from. A QuestID is an 8-digit code with the first 2 numbers being the mod's load order number. Have you tried checking the mod's page to see if anyone else has reported this issue? It may be that if this issue is a known problem then there may well be a solution on the mod's page, maybe in the Comments section. -
Body replacer won´t work
GrizzlyUK replied to SkavenAssassin's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
If ArchiveInvalidation is already on, then run FOMM and toggle ArchiveInvalidation off and then back on. If ArchiveInvalidation isn't on then that's the cause, just run FOMM and toggle it on. -
what happens if i use too many mods at a time?
GrizzlyUK replied to solidsnakec11's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Getting a good working balance of mods is actually a pretty hard thing to accomplish. The more mods you add, the harder it gets to keep the game running. I don't think anyone runs FO3 without errors of some sort, some days the game will be nice and smooth but then on other days it'll just keep crashing no matter what you try to do. Take the time to do plenty of research of installing mods, make sure you get all the recommended utility programs as well because those will be the main things you rely on to get all your chosen mods to work together properly. Oh, and start off small, don't try throwing 100 or so mods at the game straight off. Install a few small, simple mods to start with and test how the game runs with them. As for performance issues, that will depend on how you fine tune the game settings to run on your system. Don't be afraid to ask questions here, there's usually a few people around who will be happy to provide answers.
