  1. I don't think you can call it "racism" what is happening between Dunmers and Nords. They had a dispute that dates from the First Era (fourth century) when Vrage the Gifted conquered Morrowind and later in the same Era they were driven back during King Borgas i think. So it is a lot older feud than thought.
  2. @sukeban. The Dunmer have nowere to go. "4E 5-6 — Red Mountain erupts; Vvardenfell is destroyed. -In Vivec's absence, the Ministry of Truth becomes unstable. Vuhon creates an Ingenium that uses at first dozens of dying souls, then a small number of living ones to stabilize the rock. The soul of Sul's wife Ilzheven was among them. In a fight to free her, the Ingenium is destroyed and the rock crashes into the city of Vivec with all the energy it originally had. The impact causes Red Mountain to erupt and destroys the entire island of Vvardenfell, as well as causing massive destruction to the rest of the province. -The Argonians invade southern Morrowind after the eruption of Red Mountain and cripple House Telvanni." Besides the destruction of the island, southern Morrowind is sacked by Argonians, so it's prety much wastes and war.
  3. player.moveto <actor ID> (to teleport yourself near an NPC (see actorID's from the UESP) setstage MQ201 10 (will set the stage to meet Malborn in Solitude)
  4. well, i've finished both stormcloack and empire questlines. i have to admit it didn't feel right in both case (with storcloacks Elisif remains jarl but you have to attack Whiterun, and with the Empire after executing Ulfric (not my char ofcourse), I just felt I was next  )
  5. I incline to think devs did a very calculated move of implementing about the same ammount of information regarding every civil faction just to make you not feel bad about joining either stormcloacks or imperials, leveang you, the player, 50% off the hook as far as your concern. Guess they did not think about the forums.(unless they wanted discussions to be made on that theme in wich case they've succeded).
  6. Well, you'll have to buy one and become a cityzen for your mariage to work properly. . It's probably a tresspassing bug.
  7. You'll have to be a "true neutral" char and not do almost anything if you want to keep clean of bounty. If you want to be a good guy and never (relative term because is next to imposible) have a bounty i advise heavy usage of "Frenzy". (either by revers-pickpocketing or spell)
  8. The UESPWiki is considered by almost all of TES players the best source of lore besides the games themselves. Please post some links to your other sources that are more reliable than the UESP.
  9. "Mede could have easily demanded that the Dominion surrender or at the very least call off the war and withdraw. He just defeated a vast portion of their entire army in its entirety, and for all the Dominion would have known at the time, he still had the vast majority of the forces he used. And they most certainly knew that the Empire had two provinces in reserve (who haven't really been tapped for the all of the wartime support they could give mind you), so even if the Dominion knew the Legions in Cyrodiil were exhausted, they would have known that Mede could make another army if he had to." Do i realy need to quote all your post? And by "the Empire is exhausted and unable to continue the war" I understand that Mede couldn't make another army, and i don't thik the AD wouldn't know that.
  10. "The Imperial City is retaken and Titus II's decision to withdraw from it the previous year is vindicated. Despite this resounding victory, however, the Empire is exhausted and unable to continue the war. Realizing this, Titus II seeks to negotiate with the Aldmeri Dominion to end the war." This is from http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Fourth_Era So you just assumed "he still had the vast majority of the forces he used"
  11. @Mac: "Next is the opinions of people who have "heard it on the grapevine" from third parties who may or may not be biased and who may or may not have actually witnessed an event from a distance closer than the limits of unassisted vision. An example of this might be "Ulfric literally shouted Torygg to pieces." With perhaps the added enticement to belief of "My brother heard it from a guard."" Theese are the lines wich Toryg tells the player personaly in Sovngarde: "When Ulfric Stormcloak, with savage Shout, sent me here, my sole regret was fair Elisif, left forlorn and weeping." "I faced him fearlessly - my fate inescapable, yet my honor is unstained - can Ulfric say the same?" So far we know Ulfric used A shout, all witnesses are not reliable and Ulfrig and Toryg are out of the question, since Toryg clearly doesn't know the meaning of shouts and Ulfric could be lying. And about the honor part opinions, in Skyrim are divided almost 50-50. As for the lore... "4E 201 — Torygg, the High King of Skyrim, is killed by Ulfric Stormcloak at Solitude." from the UESP. It says "Killed" (the words duel or murder don't appear so they pretty much leava that to the player's concious. The books from the game are as reliabel as the witnesses. Depends who wrote them (Imperial or Stormcloack supporter)
  12. What's the point of being a cannibal in Skyrim, anyway? It was useful in Fallout 3 as a way to regenerate health and made sense what with the apocalypse and all, but Skyrim is full of food that you can even cook into actual meals and you regen health automatically. I think the devs. wanted to aid the fastplaying types, by letting the characters healh grow and regenarate while not having to spend money on potions or ingredients or having to go back to a town if they run out of them. Plus the 50 Stamina bonus is nice.
  13. i will post the quirky things i do with my first and also a main char (because i enjoy most playing with him). It is a level 76 now Khajiit thief/merchant (a fence in popular terms) - always talk to Maiq (yes me too, he's to...knolegeable) - since he is a little overpowerd i have a "no armor" policy for him. (only cloth, usualy extravagant and the most expensive)-like the king's robe...etc - no enchanted jewelery (only gold diamnond stuff) - what can i say, he likes the bling - he is a gem hoarder (tons of flawless gems in proudspire manor's seif) + other thousants in i can't even remember wich container. - visit the TG fences every week and sell them stuff until they all remain out of money (usualy expensive potions) - other free time he spends traveling through cityes prospecting "the market"
  14. you should try first opening the console with "`" key then type "set timescale to 2" without quote marks. It might work. Just save often.
  15. Sorry, i thought that the editing part was coincidental. I've encounterd the "refresh - back to index" eror page not only while editing but also when browsing. Returned later on the site and everything worked ok.
  16. See, now this is a normal debate in wich i like taking part because it shows people's beliefs and in a small manner how they were raised opinionating arrownd Skyrim's leadership. Yes you make a valid poit of religion beeing at the focus of many people (almost all of them if you think), i just think that starting a civil war based on an politheist worshiping is not that great of a cause. If i were put in an imediate dilema of free (refering to worshiping not imprisonment, torturing and all that) or dead, I have to admit i will have to think hard on that. It's probably because i don't see religion and freedom in the same sentence. I personaly belive that a good decision taken at the right time is worth much more than imediate violence for fast acknolegment of ones purposes. Having this in mind i haven't seen Ulfric taking any smart decisions during the game (exept maybe by leaving Elisif the Fair as jarl but that was in greater part thanx to your character).
  17. I got that eror page several times usualy when the site is bussy, but it worked fine some time later .
  18. "set timescale to 2" would make time flow 2X times faster than real life time.(but will probably cause NPC issues as thompsonar said)
  19. Maybe they're just not the right kind of "a$$holes". There are distinctions you know  I'm an obnoxious a$$hole, but I'm not a lying a$$hole... :D   .Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. True, true. First of you gotta afford to be an a$$hole after that to choose what type. Guess in the Brotherhood they'r all somehow powertrippin'.
  20. If you would follow your "rules" of posting we wouldn't have this discussion now. And if you check my profile now you'll see that i am 97. (yes it is that easy).
  21. Call it what you want (racism, bigotry) it is still part of Ulfric's personality althou not everybody in Skyrim is an adept of his mentality. I forone don't mind his attitude (for it is normal for a "rebel" to act this way), i don't aprove of his judgement. To start a civil war that will lead to the death of half the people in Skyrim either way it ends, fighting against men, mer, beasts or evreything and everyone who is against you for the sake of worshiping a god (out of 9 divines and all the daedric princes)...that is a little disturbing. Closest revolution that i've witnessed was in 1989 wich was still a waste of time even if it managed to overthrow a regim, because 2 years from that time it could have ended exactly the same without the loss of lifes. I'm not saying that same rules apply to Skyrim but nevertheles killing half of Skyrim's population for a "free religion" cause is just stupid.
  22. Your opinion that the Empire will be forever under AD control is not indisputal evidence nor hard facts. As for the age, you could be 14 aswell. Constantly reminding us how old and wise you are and labeling us as teenagers (not in the good way) could easly offend anyone. Beeing born 70'ish years ago doesn't label you as smart or intelligent. At your age (if that is your true age), and with your posted experience in life you should disolve conflicts and let others regard your posts as facts or evidence, without insulting everyone if they don't see it your way. It's your second post (from the ones i've read) that you sucumb at insulting others based on their age. For all I care we can all be 14 if we could have a decent debate but it seems your self-control overwelms all other posts but yourown.
