  1. I was on a Reddit community because I suffer from an extremely rare illness with no cure and I was in my ignorance hoping to find someone just to chat to about it, someone that might have similar experiences but boy was I wrong.. I also have the very worst form of it. I was reading because I wasn't a part of Reddit, I'm not really a part of any social media truthfully. I read just pure unadulterated bull***t about the disease and I just wanted to scream at these idiots passing around their information like it is knowledge that was gained like mine was or that it was knowledge that had real scientific evidence behind it. There really is no excuse for this scale of ignorance. Not only did I find out what my doctors said was very true (that my specific form of the illness makes my case on of if not the worst case of the illness they have ever experienced or read about ) but to then have these sad excuses for human beings share their "knowledge" with me just made me laugh until I was crying. Sharing foolish Naturopath "medical" knowledge as if it equals actual medical science. Naturopaths are mostly quacks and I have had terrible experiences with them. This illness I have is very rare and very few people ever experience it the way I have or seen the amount of medical doctors I have. Mine is experience gained through horrific physical pain and I would not wish it on my worst enemy. Please pardon me, and my mini-rant but I have the worst time with it. I cannot work, I cannot save my little dog who is really ill now, I cannot stop the bank from coming after my home even and I am someone who is terribly ill now and the pain and suffering I go through when that is made light of, by someone that should know better irritates me. They even kicked me out for trying to advertise my GFM campaign and I have no friends or family so it makes life extra difficult. My situation in life right now is fairly unique and very difficult to explain. One of the few joys I have in life is modding Skyrim, Fallout and other games. Some days I don't even want to be here anymore but I have responsibilities I cannot let go of and I have things I really want to accomplish in life. Things I am really looking forward to (I am NOT suicidal so please do not report me) I am simply going through things now that even with as much as I know I cannot change my situation now and it physically hurts. Recently there have been a spate of attempted break ins of my home and I finally caught the creeps last week and put the fear of ME and what I could do into them. They were really causing me intentional pain and distress and Friday I almost had a stroke - it calmed down after the emergency services got to me though. Since then last week this is the first time I modded Skyrim, I won't let those creeps take away my one small enjoyment in life. I was given my premium account last year by someone who knew I truly needed it after Skeever died and it really means a lot to me and was a wonderful gift. Sorry Dashyburn, just had to vent a bit I didn't mean to try and take your thread over or anything, it's simply too hard some days to go through this and not really have anyone to talk to. I have lost all of my family the passed 3 years and the amount of loss plus going through this illness has made it impossible to adjust easily to my current circumstances. I really wish I just had someone or even a friend to talk to. I hope your situation eases for you and I agree with many of your points Dashyburn, the knowledge at people's fingertips and the complete and utterly inane **** they believe is simply mind blowing. But learning, teaching ourselves and learning from others, going to legit schools (if you're able to) is the ultimate way to lift ourselves up. It is truly the ONLY thing that has saved me to this point and something I value more than money, idolatry or anything phony people try passing off as real. I also believe that fighting for yourself, for others and for the good things in life are truly important. Believe what is. Not what you think.
  2. May I ask why? I can see this might be an inflammatory subject but it is also an interesting subject!
  3. Just looking for a good weather mod that is robust with decent interesting settings, that has a wide variety of patches/settings that would be one of the consensus top 3 weather mods available?
  4. Have you tried a system restore point? Restore it to the day nefore the update and ONLY include the Drive that your Windows is installed to.
  5. I fixed mine today. I thought it was related to a new Firefox update (it was NOT). Just go to your download history under My Nexus Account. Try this 2 to 3 times, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes but it eventually fixes itself. I can now see what files I have downloaded and what files I have endorsed.
  6. DAMN! I thought I was the only one. I even rolled back a browser update thinking that did it. You need to rebuild your download history, go to Site Preferences in the upper right corner underneath your name when signed in. It will show a page with 12 Tabs. Go to Download History. Now follow the page and read as it says Building your download history. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes. It will then be replaced. Reload any and all open Nexus mods tabs and your download history will be replaced with everything you downloaded. This worked for me on Sunday September 25th 2022.
  7. Looking for ideas and curious to know what EVERYONE thinks. What are your Favorite mods for the following categories please, all are encouraged to share, please leave links to the mods too or the mods exact name please. Categories are.. Environmental Landscape Changes City Town mods Overhauls to Gameplay Texture & Mesh based mods Immersion Patches for mods connected to the above categories too please. Or LINKS to guides for beautification and modding purposes. I'm a longtime user of Enhanced Landscapes and Lanterns of Skyrim in it's various iterations but obviously the one now is Lanterns of Skyrim II by wizkid34. I also like Haunting and Mourning (Immersion) which I am going to be bringing back soon for SE. The original mod author removed it and mine was deleted 3 years ago but he gave me permission originally so I'll be re-uploading soon.
  8. It can also cause certain mods to malfunction or quit working. Time is one thing in the game you really do not want to touch because it has unintended consequences beyond simply moving time forward or backward. Scripting changes to save corruption is not uncommon I've read.
  9. You can. It really only comes with 4 mods and either updating SE to AE or back dating it from AE to SE isn't that difficult. You don't need any patcher, you can either copy and paste the Skyrim SE folder (around 15.8 Gigs) to another drive, OR update and copy and paste the SkyrimSE.exe or the SkyrimSELauncher.exe , update and then replace them back in the Skyrim/Data folder. I did that and my SKSE, my MO2 install and all my mods were okay after updating. I simply replaced the AE update (save the file, don't delete it simply move it out of the Skyrim/Data folder).
  10. It is a discussion. This is what this particular forum category is. Skyrim MOD TALK. Your point is illogical and in no way means someone is telling anyone how to work their own mod, whomever that might be on this entire site. Basic etiquette? I do not believe you have a fair point. This forum is a DISCUSSION area. IF a site mod says this discussion should not be, fine. But for pity's sake it is tiresome not being able to discuss opinions about any of the official or unofficial patches. It is not disrespectful, but it is disrespectful for someone to say we cannot share valid opinions and fair points in an area of the forum called Skyrim mod talk.
  11. I do not think so. Combat underwater would be inane considering how the game handles combat and the underwater creatures. The BEST you can hope for is to kill a creature in the water with either a spell or a weapon + spell combo or a bow/crossbow and arrow. There are mods that help you see better under water and a ton that adds creatures and monsters but I've never seen one that allows combat in water. I don't think it would be possible for the sheer amount of changes needed to make one to handle the animations. Then again I may be incorrect. I wish I had a better answer, hopefully some day in the future someone creates something akin to a combat underwater mod. Sorry :(
  12. I've seen quite a few excellent ports of various Skyrim Legendary Edition mods but one I have not seen yet is a proper porting of SCRR or Skyrim Coin Replacer Redux. To me it was one of the GO TO mods. I ported it for my own play but I lack the time or experience to properly port it. Here is the link https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48195 This is without a doubt one of the best LE mods and I would love to see it properly ported and patched for various loot mods. If anyone might be interested in undertaking this please respond in thread if interested. Thank you, without our community Skyrim modding would suffer. Thank you to everyone that works to improve that.
  13. I did buy the upgrade. Sorry I should have mentioned this earlier. I didn't receive several mods including Saints and Seducers.
  14. I use the SSE and as soon as I "updated" and downloaded the CC mods I replaced the relevant files and downgraded back to SE. When I install mods via Mod Organizer I install large and singular texture packs via the Skyrim/Data/Textures folder and Skyrim/Data/Meshes. I install most other mods including scripted mods directly to Mod Organizer 2 and I LOVE keeping an extremely clean User Interface so I mark whether it is an AE or SE mod, in the mod title plus I add ESP/ESL/ESP-FE plus a relevant version schema too. This way everything I install is clean, green and properly versioned which might also require changing the particular mods version number to fall in line with how MO2 displays the version, always by manipulating the Meta.ini information. I also include what category the mod is, whether it is a quest/adventer mod, a texture or mesh replacer, a bug fix et cetera. You do NOT need to use the downgrade patcher if you simply copy and backup the proper files BEFORE updating via STEAM. I recommend backing up the ENTIRE Skyrim STEAM folder to a different location, upgrading and then replacing the SkyrimSE.exe file and the binkw64.dll file too. I tested it thoroughly and it works, even my SKSE was unaffected. To each their own. I respect the work that went into the downgrade patcher, but honestly, you don't really need to use it especially when all that is needed is a simply copy and paste.
  15. Perhaps you misunderstand or possibly I did. I'm not talking those, I received those mods. What I didn't receive were the other AE mods, the ones you can by with the Credits from the main window, where you sign in for Bethesda on either the SkyrimSE.exe or the SkyrimLauncher.exe. I have most of them, but I thought that with the AE upgrade that they gave away all of the other Creation Content, like the armors, rare curious et cetera.
  16. I recently updated to Skyrim AE from SSE (I downgraded quite easily by simply saving the previous version of SkyrimSE.exe ) - you do NOT need to use the down grader, simply backup your Skyrim SE folder (I advise backing up the entire folder) - technically aside from moving the new AE files like the BeAFarmer and Fishing, Survival et cetera the ONLY file I needed to replace was the SkyrimSE.exe file and my Mod Organizer 2 folder and all my other mods and skse worked without ANY ISSUES. But I did not receive Saints and Seducers nor did I receive the other esl mods, anyone else have similar issues upgrading via STEAM and NOT getting the AE mods?
  17. Thank you very much for the suggestions Dashyburn and CptSlapaDome. Kudos!
  18. I can tell you, there is also a way to change out those crappy patch links FNIS is packaged with and remove and then REPLACE those in the FNIS launcher so you can have complete control of what mods FNIS patches. Usually it is automatic, but it can miss patching certain mods depending on load order or if you have 2 competing animation mods. I found it a few years ago, it allows you to place the custom Nexus linked animation mods in the FNIS launcher and to remove the older patches for LE that don't belong there anymore.
  19. Hello all, it is my hope this might become a popular topic. I already have a bunch of mods that I enjoy using in my play throughs and now I am asking fellow Nexus users to share their favorite mods, it can be for LE, SE or AE. Texture mods, animation mods, anything you always want in a setup for Skyrim. I am looking for mods from ALL categories and types. Would anyone know the best mod that covers cities in trees without being too crazy? Something that goes with already popular mods with few to no major issues. I also use for a couple of my favorite mods Immersive Fallen Trees (and it's associated patches), and any and all mods by wSkeever. Anyone have suggestions for the trees in city mods (something that works with DynDOLOD)?
  20. If I tried doing that for myself and my game the resulting SURGE of AWESOMENESS would fry my computer. Thanks but no thanks. ;)
  21. I hate it when you ask for help and no one responds. That being said if I could help you I would. I'm completely screwed when it comes to these DAR animations and I haven't set up my AE yet. I'll track this and see if I can help.
  22. Yeah this review sucks. I wouldn't listen to anything this git is saying. Just look for the Top Files for whatever Skyrim version whether it is LE, SE or AE and use those files. The Unofficial Patch, CBBE, retextures by Hein84, Johnskyrimm and others.
  23. I started God of War for PC, I haven't beat it as I'm stuck on that super witch Valkyrie Sigrun who is kicking my ass up and down the Valkyrie Council. Of course like Castlevania Lord of Shadows own ULTIMATE BOSS the Forgotten One is tougher and stronger than the actual games ENDING Boss. I played it offline on STEAM and yesterday I downloaded it again and started the game, all the sudden ALL the achievements I earned playing offline popped online and it froze my game. I also started playing State of Decay 2 Juggarnaut Edition which is actually pretty darn fun and works with Win7. I should get around to Red Dead Redemption one of these years before I play any other big game. @offsetxyz - you can buy the original Skyrim from 2011,l the LE version, the separate DLCs such as Hearthfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn on Fanatical.com. It's like Humble Bundle but better. The original versions and they are on sale right now. You can also buy any of the other Bethesda games too.
  24. Thank you very much 0Outcast. I really appreciate it. I agree and I don't mind in fact I started learning that way. I've had a screwed up couple of years and not sure if it is stress related but I've been stymied on a few mods like creating a plugin, dynamic animation replacer and a few others. My boy died a few months ago and I've been trying to simply throw myself into modding hoping it relieves the stress, so far kind of okay I guess. Thank you again for the reply and kudos.
