  1. To Ferryt: With the Argonians, if any of them were to have digitigrade feet, the designers could at least use raptors for a reference. Then there's the playable vanilla races themselves. You've got four human races (Imperials, Nords, Redguards, and Bretons), two beast races (Khajiit and Argonians), and the elven races (Bosmer, Dunmer, Altmer, and Orcs; Orcs being a demi-elven race). Out of the human races, they're all white except for the black Redguards. Would it kill Bethesda to put other types of humans in the game? Maybe some Asians, Arabs, or both kinds of Indians? Even with the Redguards, it really sucks that whenever I try to make a darker-skinned character, they come out with greenish discolorations in some places. Why wasn't this fixed to make them look more realistic? And then there's the AI. How can it be realistic and immersive when I can't witness NPCs committing crimes and getting arrested? I'd love to see some guards breaking up a bar fight or a street brawl, or chasing after a serial killer. Or maybe a quest where you have to start a riot and then steal stuff for the Thieves Guild in all the confusion while the guards are arresting a bunch of NPCs who either pay fines or go to jail for a couple days. But no, it only applies to you.
  2. Here's another thing that really grinds my gears: The Khajiit and Argonians. You'd think there'd be some with digitigrade feet instead of human-looking feet, seeing as how a Khajiit's form is determined by the phases of the moons when they're born and Argonians' forms by how many times they lick the sap of the Hist tree. Now, I've seen some clips from Morrowind that had Argonian and Khajiit characters with digitigrade feet, but they looked pretty funky. Maybe Bethesda should hire some furry artists to design and animate their character models--someone on FurAffinity might know what they're doing. (Given the Khajiits' lunar lattice and Argonians' Hist tree sap kink, that must make for some odd breeding cycles.)
  3. You know what really grinds my gears? 1. The bows. I can understand how metal bows would work, but glass bows? How does a glass bow work? It can't, Bethesda. IT CAN'T. (There's no evidence that Tamriel has nanofiber technology.) A glass bow should break, not bend. 2. The part of the main story where you have to get the blood of a Daedric Prince. If you do the main quest in the Shivering Isles expansion before doing this one, why not just have your character prick their finger, put their blood in a vial, and give it to Martin? You ARE the new Sheogorath, after all. 3. If Tamriel is supposed to be the size of Europe, it sure doesn't feel like it. It feels a lot more like you could fit all of Cyrodiil alone inside Delaware or Rhode Island. 4. Weye. Just Weye. One house and an inn? That's not even a village! Your thoughts?
  4. What really bugs me is this: How the hell is an axe a blunt weapon? It clearly has a blade; therefore it should be listed as such!
  5. Don't even get me started on Farwil. If they'd let you tell him to wait somewhere, it'd be a lot easier. But no, Bethesda just had to code him so he'd jump in when he's not supposed to! And then there's the annoying fan. I haven't killed him...yet. Think I'll try doing that at some point to get into the Dark Brotherhood.
  6. You realize ninjas never dressed in those black jumpsuits, right? Think about it: If your job entailed blending in, you wouldn't run around in a black jumpsuit that screams "Hi, I'm your friendly neighborhood ninja!" from a mile away. You'd rather dress like everyone else around you if you want to blend in. If you're sneaking around at night, black would just make you look like a silhouette--dark blue is the color you want. The whole mess with ninjas wearing black comes from kabuki theater, where the stagehands would dress in all black whenever they'd appear on stage to show how sneaky ninjas could be. (By convention, the audience pretended the stagehands weren't really there.) But as far as ninja armor goes, the Dark Brotherhood armor seems to cover that, although it wouldn't hurt to have other stuff. I'd like to see stuff from Fushigi Yuugi, Slayers, RG Veda, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Reign: The Conqueror, Hellsing (May not be lore-friendly but still cool), Wolf's Rain, Last Exile, Vampire Hunter D, Revolutionary Girl Utena, El Hazard, Samurai Gun, and some more stuff from One Piece added in.
  7. Blades all the way. Especially daggers. Sure, they're short, but they're what you want if you want to make the game-breaking Healthdrainer and Sleepgiver daggers, since they strike twice per second.
  8. I've mostly put in opening, ending, and insert songs from various anime series; stuff from Moonsorrow, Rammstein, Rick Astley, Deathstars, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Gackt, ALI PROJECT, Super Junior, E Nomine, et al; and now putting in some stuff from Final Fantasy 5-8, Brave Fencer Musashi, Chrono Trigger, and Seiken Densetsu 3 (a.k.a. Secret of Mana 2; why the hell didn't Square bring that game to North America?). Only vanilla music I've still got is the battle music. (Gotta have something in there that stands out from the likes of Hikaru Utada, Rammstein, Toshiki Kadomatsu, etc.)
  9. Vanilla: Redguards, due to their resistance to disease and poison. Custom: Chocolate Elves.
  10. I'd really love to meet and then hit the asshat who put the annoying fan in Oblivion. Ditto the guy who programmed Farwil's AI--that guy just cannot be ordered no matter what, and always gets in the way when you don't want him to. Why the hell are they both in the game?
  11. This also begs another question: Why the hell didn't Bethesda put horse combat in Oblivion? What did they think was going to happen? As for attacking your horse, how the hell do they see your horse first when YOU'RE CLEARLY ON IT? Both you and your horse are approaching at the same time; it doesn't make any sense!
  12. I have all the unofficial patches (vanilla, Shivering Isles, official mods), and the enemies still get it in their heads to attack my horse! Also, I've got the Chestnut Unicorn mod running, and they still go after the horse. Why didn't Bethesda even bother to fix this? Are they stupid?
  13. Can someone tell me why enemies go straight for your horse instead of fighting you? What do they have against horses? Seriously, what was Bethesda thinking?
  14. The annoying fan who pops up when you become the arena grand champion. One of the most useless characters ever. Then there's the Bruma guards during the mission where you have to close the Bruma Oblivion gate. Why, oh why do they always have to be such dumbasses and jump right in? (Especially if you're trying to snipe an enemy with the bow--you end up killing a guard instead and get a bounty on your head!)
  15. Yeah, but some NPCs suddenly ended up bald (Jensine, Edla, et al). It led me to believe I was missing a necessary mod. So I looked up Corean hair, installed it, and it overwrote the Ren hairs and set all eyes to vanilla (My character's eyes were also from the Ren mod).
  16. I've got Ren's Beauty Pack (Only hairs/eyes), and I want to run Corean hairs with it. I've also got COBL running, and use OBMM. How do I get both mods to run together without one overwriting the other? I really want to run both of them without getting stuck with vanilla eyes, or otherwise conflicting with one another.
  17. You could enchant one with frenzy, and another one with paralyze and silence, plus a small health drain. If only they'd also put a deafness enchantment in Oblivion. Why the hell didn't they?
  18. Putting vuvuzelas in the arena = epic win! Maybe we could also get vuvuzelas that we could use like staves, with different enchantments on them.
  19. Anyone ever get the idea to put vuvuzelas in Oblivion? I'd love nothing more than to run around and annoy guys with one of those things. They could either be found in a chest somewhere or bought at one of the stores in, say, the Imperial City.
  20. I'd been manually installing mods, but now I have OBMM, and it's working really well so far. :) Thanks for the tip!
  21. I was just about to say the same thing. I've tried everything, yet the cosmetic mods just won't show up in-game. Thanks for hijacking my thread, by the way. Better here than making a new thread. I've also got a few other cosmetic mods running: Cello978's Eyes and Hair, Cosmetic Compilation, PH Vanilla Eyes Add-On, Satamino Eyes, tkHairPack01, and Ren Beauty Pack.
  22. I tried installing the Babe Hair mod recently, and it's not working. I tried putting all the meshes and textures in the appropriate folders, checked the ESP file in the data files list, and it's still giving me only vanilla hairstyles. I'm at my wit's end here!
