  1. i'd like to see something similar to Ezio's cloak from Assassin's Creed. That shoulder cloak looks damned cool!
  2. I really, REALLY want to see this i've been waiting nearly a year hoping someone would do this. I would just learn to do it myself and share it, but I've had too much coursework to do. :(
  3. sounds like a great idea, though i'd suggest simplifying it in order to make it more surmountable for a modder to approach. I remember i played this crappy but addictive little browser game about 9 years ago called Adventure Quest, and in it you could become a 'Werepyre' if you tricked the Lycans and Vamps into biting you. It looked like a huge wolfman but with black fur instead of beige, it had huge wings made of a leathery material with no fur, completely red eyes without irises and a black bushy tail. http://images.wikia.com/aq/images/b/b5/Wolfwing.jpg
  4. Hey y'all! A simple request: to sheath 2 handed swords on the hip. Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones both prompted me to request this, because let's be honest, bastard swords were worn at the hip. Only the the utterly massive swords were ever strapped to the back. The main reason I request this is because people who use 2-handers can't really use cloaks mods because of the clipping issues. If anyone does this, i will name my firstborn child after you! ;) Cheers
  5. ressing this thread, but comeon, someone out there must want this done???
  6. Really? No one can walk me through how to achieve this in the creation kit? Please, it would take but a moment but be incredibly helpful.
  7. You're forgetting that smithing can be levelled to max at any time - just make endless iron daggers all the way up. Start off with a little cash, buyout iron ingots and leather from Avennicci and Eorlund smith daggers, enchant, sell back, wait 48 hours, repeat. Then you can craft full dragon bone armour and/or deadric if you have the materials.
  8. Excellent! Please could you walkl me through it (if it's not too much hassle)? And what sort of scale is each +/- integer in game? Thank you! EDIT: I do have the CK.
  9. i'd forgotten about those mods, agreed, it could also fix those issues. At the end of the day, to the extent of my knowledge (which take with a grain of salt - i'm not myself a modder), it comes down to a simple distance adjustment; not much, but just enough so weapons/arrows sit comfortably on those HUGE cloaks from winter is coming. A small thing, but a brilliant thing which could make many people's skyrim experience a lot better. With regards to the ATTT part, that mod is also a brilliant immersion creator, but the clipping issues just make it horrid.
  10. Be warned though, ATTT is one of the buggiest mods i've ever seen, often the scripts just don't work, causing CTDs, stange behaviour and often the mod just refuses to work altogether.
  11. Hey there Nexus! I have a small request, but a request which could benefit a hugely substantial number of the community. Could a generous modder increase the distance of shields, bows, quivers, 2h's, staffs (and any other items sheathed on the back i may have forgotten) between them and the character's back when they are sheathed? I ask this because people who use 'Winter is Coming - Cloaks' and 'Cloaks of Skyrim' have to see these items clip right through the middle of them, creating a horrible, unrealistic visual which seriously spoils immersion. In addition, with a mind towards the Armed to the Teeth mod, as an extension, could a modder increase distances between these items when they are sheathed together on the back? Atm with ATTT, you get the shield and 2h clipping straight through the middle of the bow and quiver. If anyone could do one or both of these things, it would be improving a great many people's skyrim experience, not to mention mine! Thank you !
  12. I like it. Take that a little further, and you could create a new style of fighting if you have a staff in one hand and a sword/axe/mace in the other. The benefit being eg. equipping a staff means you don't need two hands for master destruction spells, and if you've specced into dual casting, maybe using a staff will have the same effect on the spell (overcharging it) ? I don't know, food for thought, but i agree, the staffs seriously are a pain and become a chore to keep recharging etc.
  13. I've only played Skyrim and Oblivion, but it was exactly the same in Oblivion. You slay the Orc champion in the arena to finish that quest-line, you have the dark brotherhood and thieves guild getting you to do some pretty terrible deeds as staples, you run across Cyrodill pillaging and burning bandit camps (but they deserve it let's be honest, they attack on site). It has always been this way. No change.
  14. Hey there Nexus community, I recently reinstalled skyrim after about 5 months of not playing. I started a new character and this time decided i'd do some modding. So i started getting to CTD's while using these mods: MODS Armed to the Teeth Apaachii sky hair Jaysus swords improved skill books the complete skyforge light dragonscales and bones noguard helmets Winter is coming - cloaks strong carriages npc use ammo dD Enhanced Blood Deadly Dragons DD Armoury DD Spells dragon souls to perks Bandolier Duel - Combat Realism Essential followers ishs respec mod LOTR weapons blades factions fix Jaysus swords Midas Magic SKY UI CHSBHC - BBP - Nude and Jiggly mod Categorised favourites Better males - beautiful nudes and faces - new hairstyles - NUDES - FavouredsoulMeshes SKSE Well placed weapons and quivers High quality eyes Forger Tytanis Warzones Wars in Skyrim So i began disabling them one by one, and, while the CTD's decreased in constancy, they still happened every 5 minutes or so (instead of every few seconds). So i then read up about how buggy Tytanis is, and realising i didn't even want it, uninstalled it via NMM. Boom. Cannot load any more saves from that character. Thinking perhaps Tytanis had f***ed everything up, i backuped my saves, and reinstalled skyrim by deleting local content on steam and wiping all the folders manually too. I wake up today and i can create a new character with no problems and no mods, yet i STILL cannot load my old character. What should i do? I really don't want to start a new character i'm sick of this problem ! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. NB. None of my others characters will load now.... that's very worrying to me, because i was very close to hitting max level on one of them ! Please help! :'(
  15. Seconded! Would be awesome, especially for those of us using armed to the teeth and cloaks of skyrim!
  16. Seconded! Would be amazing, especially if you're using cloaks and Armed to the Teeth. I managed to get this mod made by requesting it for Oblivion, so i remain hopeful that it's possible and will get done for skyrim!
  17. +1 would be sick to go back to oblivion via skyrim
  18. any modders taking n interest in this? It will make the immersion element that much better!
  19. true, though macroing one key to do multiple things will be tricky.
  20. That's what my friend told me. How can you fire a spell when you have a weapon / shield in each hand? If you use flames, you'd burn through them... But then of course, if you use flames on someone, their weapons don't burn off either... Realism aside, I simply find this new system tedious, and in some applications, it tends to be illogical. For example, you have a sword, and a spell. And you can't block. Ditto if you're holding (but not using) a bow. Why? Anyway, that's why the mod I have in mind is not a complete overhaul (as much as I'd like it to be), as that would be too difficult for my current level of scripting competence. Nay, I propose a "Macro key"... Picture this, press a key (say, G) and the character automatically unequips whatever is in his left hand and uses a spell of choice. You have to hold / tap the key for it to work. Release the key, and the character wields whatever was in his left hand, be it shield, sword, nothing, or a bow. We'll use another key (H, perhaps) for his right hand. Same controls. He does it all in a blink of an eye. You can still get the trade-offs some people like, but at the same time, you have a reliable panic button; Instead of pressing 3 twice to double-equip your flames, then pressing 2 and 1 to re-equip you sword and shield when you realized your enemy's attack is devastating, you can just tap / hold G and/or H to use a spell of choice, afterwards the character automatically wields whatever he was last using. Less tedious. And that's my idea for the mod. I have no idea how to do it. LOL. But I won't give up yet. I hope then that someone else manages to do this, since this wouldn't fix the aesthetic part of the problem (ie a sword that just vanishes to be replaced by a spell) Also, the whole 'fire would burn through your shield' is nonsensical, as if that were true, it'd also burn off your hand.
  21. done, hadn't seen this, cheers
  22. i made my own thread on this and would have simply contributed to this one if i'd seen it (cheers Lokiron). My qualm with the current system was also aesthetics and not just laboriousness (i hated my weapons just vanishing then reappearing from thin air as i play in 3rd person), so i suggested that it be the same as Oblivion: say you may bind a key of one's choice to do magic irrespective of weapon. Obviously if you have another weapon in hand EG. A 2H Sword, only one hand may be used for spells (with that in mind, perhaps adding a bonus feature for spells like firestorm that require 2 hands to be changed to require one would be a nice touch.) Good luck to anyone who endeavours to do this !
