  2. Take a look at your rock wall mod. Does it say it uses parallax mapping? If it does, you won't see the 3d effect of this unless you install an ENB and set FixParallaxBugs=true and FixParallaxTerrain=true in enblocal.ini.
  3. If you have Maya you can have 3ds max. There is a working .nif exporter for 3ds max 2015-2018 here on nexus. Turning your model into a .nif is the major roadblock. Doing it from Maya is a complete pain. Do it from max. I, like a lot of people I suspect, would much prefer to work in Maya, but life is too short, and there is nothing max can't do. Nightassays tutorials have all the info you need. (It has been ages since I watched them, this is how I learnt to do it. I think around vid 17 .. ish in the skyrim custom armour series .. he talks in detail about how to export your model) You can then apply this info to Fallout, or whatever beth game you want to mod.
  4. Crank, srs? Mb I am not seeing this the same way as you. What I am seeing is Nexus saying "thx mod authors for giving us a reason to exist. Thx for letting us earn from your work. We would like to give some of that back. And users, here is your chance to get involved too, if you choose to get involved" Like any new system there will doubtless be teething problems, and tears, but I think it is a step in the right direction. If you have a better idea, I am sure everyone would love to hear it. Mb we can code loot boxes into our mods?
  5. open nifskope, go into options>resources and click autodetect game paths. I also added the Mod Organizer folder to the paths. I don't know if this is actually necessary, mb it is. Now go into MO and add nifskope as an exectutable. If you want to see the textures in Nifskope you have to run it from inside MO.
  6. You using enb boost? Without it, when Skyrim reachies 3.1 gb memory useage, straight to the desktop you go. You say you are crashing when entering the bannered mare. You are running JK skyrim and immersive wenches and the high resolution packs, going from one of the most intesive areas (whitrun markets) into the bannered mare. I would do it again with the task manager up. See if you are running out of memory.
  7. Does this still happen if you start a new game? If a new game is fine then it is just your save that is corrupted. Kiss it goodbye, try not to uninstall mods mid playthrough. If it does happen in a new game then your game install is corrupted. Delete it. Get a new one from steam.
  8. New playthrough - pure mage - so I start at the inn in Winterhold, start the mage guild quests, do some stuff, eventually make it to Helgen and then Whitrun. It started the night I entered. Vampire attack at the gate. I bravely fled the scene to talk to Barlgruff. Out to kill the dragon at the watchtower, if find dead at the Whitrun gates, Adrianne, Belethor, Alahan and Brenuin... sigh. Dragon dead, I return, chat to the al'kir, chat to Barlgruff, head over to the bannered mare to see Saadia. Before I can even speak to her "we are here to teach you a lesson" !!! Chaos in the bannered mare. I flee bravely again. I thought I had lost them in the streets of Whitrun, but no. Eventually, after kiting and burning for ages I kill them. Return to the Bannered mare. Hulda dead. Saadia dead. Carlotta dead. I have been in Whitrun less than a day! I hear Solitude is nice this time of year ....
  9. Skagens is putting you on the right path. Go see uncle Gopher. Have him help you install Mod Organizer, skse, FNIS, actually just watch his 10 or so vids on Mod Organizer and do everything he does. By the time you get through those you will understand how it works. It's not hard. Now google emb boost. Uncle Boris is going to set you up with a system memory cache that will allow vintage skyrim to use more than 2GB. Don't worry about the graphical stuff with emb at this stage. You just want the emb boost part. (warning, you need to read stuff) Now you are up to installing all your graphics mods. If you find the realvision enb nexus mod page there is a great list of things that will make your game look awesome. Good place to start. Next step is to visit with uncle Michael. Google Gamer Poets. Ask him to call his mate Sheesen and the two of them are going to get you DYNDOLOD (stuff looks better at a distance) AAANnnnd now, you are ready to skankify your beautiful world. I will leave you to work that out on your own :) (from the frustration evident in your op, I am guessing you have screwed everything up quite royally. I would remove all traces of skyrim from your system and start completely from scratch)
  10. Your load order is kinda a mess. This is almost definately where your problem lies. I wonder if you were fine, then you installed some more mods and the problem happened? I am wondering if it was after you installed MatureSkin? That seems fairly recent? I would find a quiet cell, one with no npcs in it, and save there. Then unistall every mod that alters any actor in the game. Load up your game, check all your npcs and character are back to vanilla, go back to your empty cell, then save again. Now reinstall all your mods. Start with your body mod, then your skin. Now reload your game. It should be fine now. Then install your npc mods back in one by one, making sure Bijin is last. I would also highly recommend you get LOOT to sort your list. I would run it after you have removed all the mods that effect characters/npcs, before you start reinstalling things, and again when you are done. And yes. This will take a while. And no, I am not aware of any other way to fix the black faces thing. Certainly not a "oh, yea .. just make this one small 3 click change and you will be gtg"
  11. I had a similar problem with ysolda. I could never work it out. So I loaded everything in Tes5edit. found Ysolda in bijin wives. Turns out that there was another mod that was altering the basket she carries around sometimes. This mod was loading after bijin wives. Now how this makes a difference, who knows, but after I swaped the load order, the problem was gone. NB I use mod organiser so swapping them around is just click and drag. If you use NMM, you will prob need to uninstall everything and then reinstall in the order that you want them.
  12. http://i.imgur.com/y4AkVbI.png?2 ty for fixing everything. so many times.
  13. As always, with lots of mods, the cause of a problem could be so many things. But there is a hard full stop. The skyrim engine has a 3.1g memory usage limit. Go over this and straight to the desktop you go. In the world, when you enter a cave, this memory is reset and the new cell is loaded fresh. I rarely if ever crash here. Cities are a different story. When you go from say whitrun to dragonsreach, or the bannered mare, all of whitrun is in memory, and then it adds the new cell. 3.1g sounds like heaps, but if you are running multiple npc mods (like interesting npc, the wenches mods eg) npc beautifiers (like bijjin, sgtextures etc) hair mods, a city overhaul, a weather mod, lighting mods, etc etc etc, have an army of followers , all at the same time .... you will be surprised how quickly it stacks up. I suggest you start your task manager before skyrim and keep an eye on it while you play. If you start seeing it hit 2.6, 2.7g, stop and save your game. Think about what you are about to do. If you are standing in the whitrun market, do you HAVE to go into the bannered mare at 2 in the afternoon? Because at 5 am the streets will be bare. Do you have to leave the yarl palace immediately? Can you just wait a few hours till things quiet down? I like to leave myself 500mb to change cells when in a city. This is usually .... usually .... pretty safe. Then when you do enter the new cell, just stop. Let everything load for a few seconds. (I watch my followers. When they have all loaded in and begun to idle it is usually as safe as it is going to get to continue.) Having said all that, this is skyrim modding. It only takes one mod, that just doesn't like one other mod (both of which work perfectly otherwise), 1 ini setting that seems totally unrelated ... ( I was unable to enter Castle Volikhir for months because of an ini setting related to htd cloaks that I had removed many playthroughs before. Rest of the game was fine - take serena home ctd ... go figure). But you can fix these things, if you can find them. As far as I know, there is no way to extend the memory skyrim can use beyond 3.1g. If there is I want to know about it. gl.
  14. I know I am kinda late to the party on this one, but, I think there is something that none of you are considering. At 3.1g memory used, straight to the desktop you go. This is a skyrim engine thing. I have never found a solution for this. I don't think there is one. If you enable your task manager you can see how much memory skyrim is using. You will note that in towns, this memory isn't reset when you enter an inn or a shop, like it is when you go from the world into a cave. The new cell just adds onto it. So if you were sitting on 2.6-2.7g in the market in whiterun, entering the bannered mare is a very likely ctd. I know 3gb sounds like heaps but thanks to bijjin, apachii, dx, sg, your whitrun overhaul, the wenches, int NPC ... you will be surprised how many times you are flirting with certain disaster. My workaround is to get used to where these places are (there are quite a few, mostly in cities, but we are looking at you too windhelm docks) and to keep half an eye on the task manager. See 2.5g +? Stop and save. Of course with the 200+ mods that we all run and swap in and out during the course of a playthrough (don't pretend you set your game up and don't touch it till the next playthrough. No one does. You are a liar) the possibility for all of the other problems outlined in this thread are not only likely but very likely. Skyrim modding...... welcome to the jungle. GL
