  1. Honestly...they are mages. They seem less likely to move than they are to suffer the hostility of the city. It is an old location after all full of tradition. Not to mention it; where the heck would you move it to? Lets assume they leave the building behind. Where else is equipped to hold them? If not make a new building altogether. If you mean actually move it; again, where? And of course than there is the big empty space. Not to mention what to do with the caves under the college related to college quests. By no means am I against the idea. The more mods the better. But I imagine just as the mages would appreciate with the walls of their relocated college, I like to see holes filled.
  2. That said, there is the Live Another Life mod with its framework for adding additional starts. I could see this possibly being done.
  3. I'm actually a huge fan of building the mod community even though I am new. I'll make up some models and release them as a modder resource free for use. I've actually started talking back and forth with various history buffs to see what would be appropriate for the time period if we were to assume real world historical counterparts. Viking and Norse culture being the obvious ones but also assuming that the roman influenced euro-english of the middle ages can be the earth analogy for the empire, I am surprised to see/hear not only what they were doing in baking back then but of the foods I had never even heard of for both. Also, I've been looking at TESO videos and info to not only see what options they have their for food goods but to see if there is not already or if I can create the chef outfit and related materials they have in that game. Can not wait for it to go free to play so I can look first hand.
  4. This is me just theorizing as I explore both how to mod and think of what I might one day do for mods. I'm wondering if any more experienced modders might give me their thoughts. Might it be possible to apply Automatic Variants to items as it is applied to creatures? So that one might, say, make a bunch of textures for quivers for example and instead of making a bunch of unique quivers and distributing them out somehow; have AV do it for you and treating them like the base item they actually are? My real wonder comes down to not just if this is even possible to start but I can't help but think that the fact items are equipped and unequipped would provide the real issue here. I imagine keeping the skin assigned would be the hard part. Thoughts, anyone?
  5. Might I make a suggestion? I could go into extensive detail but the short version is this: it is implied that the Champion of Cyrodiil became Sheogorath. Confirmed if you take it at face value that Bethesda replied to fan inquiry and confirmed it. Lines of dialogue from Skyrim imply that the Greymarch does still happen in the sense that Sheorograth does not remain himself all of the time just as it was in Oblivion; rather he becomes the Champion once more for a brief period and then returns to full Sheogorath. This is of course assuming the Champion persona is not totally insane at this point. That aside...my suggestion would a place either belonging to or dedicated to the Champion. A place of order that the residents of the Shivering Isles find strange...perhaps it is their version of that creepy house in the neighborhood people thing is haunted.
  6. Did you forget to include a picture? Also, why the quotes around armour?
  7. Hmm. I'd be willing to model a bunch of cakes and stuff for this...I'm not yet sure how to add stuff to the game just yet.
  8. As I myself am still just getting into modding this is something that is, as of yet, beyond me. So I hope someone likes the idea enough to try their hand and it. Animal/creature variations of the Nordic Carved Armor. Versions that, instead of the bear theme, bear resemblance to birds like the skyforge or dragons. A wolf one for example would be amazingly well suited to say...the Companions.
  9. My problem seems to be the reverse. I find too much info. Either that or the sites I come across are ancient and only partially populated and the links they have that are meant to go to other things seem to be dead. As I have my new computer I kind of wish I could find modders who were willing to do a little spoon feeding. For example the whole NMM vs Bash vs MO. Obviously it comes down to personal opinion but I can't seem to find much on why one is better then the other or when one is better then the other. And of course don't even get me started on trying to find lore. I feel like the internet gods are mocking me given what I think I should be able to find via google and what I am finding. Still, topics like this are helpful as this has provided some insight to a brand new modder.
  10. Then you get people like me who are totally new to modding (and need a little bit of spoon feeding to get started :P) and find even threads like this helpful as I now know several other places to look to for experienced modders. Never even would of thought of looking to Reddit given I generally avoid Reddit. Again, this has been helpful. Thank you all.
  11. You see the horned skulls on the enchanting tables and the horns even seem to be the same horns in the iron helmets, but you never see the horned trolls. Anyone care to fix that?
  12. I had forgotten about the wereboar. I wonder if there is a mod for that here. That and werecat.
  13. Like this? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25501/?
  14. That, I imagine, would actually be easily done compared to making the mod itself. :P
  15. Have you tried examining the existing mods that do this? Also, how do you hope to change the map? Knowing this can help you get a more specific answer.
