  1. I think this would be good for the original Templar armour that Alistair is in for the majority of the game ^^. I am pretty sick of seeing him in a skirt :<.
  2. Hey, I was just wondering if anyone could make a little mod that added something into the PC dialogue options of something like "Say nothing" or "Stay silent". Just every line they you can choose for that lot of dialogue is not something that I would ever want to say; and the only reason I clicked on anything is so that I could get past that scene. It would be cool if most options to say nothing were in the game, I've only found the one after saving Redcliffe. I also think that for a Cousland to say nothing at all at Ostagar would be appropriate too, because you are (or should be) still in mourning. Would this be possible?
  3. I don't think there are that many pointless encounters, a video game needs to have fighting otherwise it would be boring. It in a novel that you are reading and it had as many fight scenes as a video game had and the running around that you do in the game; then THAT would be pointless. Though all video games need to have these type of encounters, think of Final Fantasy with the random battles. It's annoying, but if you were running around with no fighting you wouldn't level and you'd be too low. So for me the fight scenes were never an annoyance, because the video game medium NEEDS them. There are other things that vex me when I play though, most particularly is the voice acting. It would be nice if all the voices had more ANIMATION to them, especially since most of the time you are looking at a bust shot of the character you are talking to. But then there's nothing we the consumers can do to make the voice acting more animated. But for myself as a avid player of Dragon Age, the fight scenes are not in any way annoying. The only thing annoying I've found about the fights, is the fact that the enemy always has WAY more tactic slots than any of my own characters :/. Still that is not a fault on the flow of the game.
  4. It is a reference to Star Wars Episode IV where Leia says that to Luke - really has nothing to do with the plot; it's just comedy relief. As an elf or human in Orzammar, the L-l-l-l-l-l-l-yrium guy will comment, "You're awfully tall." Try both scenes playing as a kid for true irony. I know where it came from when I saw it without even looking at the wiki. The fact is, it only works if you are a human man.
  5. I think she is severely visually challanged 8) Surely she can't be that obtuse... can she? o_O I don't know about that; as an elf, it's kind of neat to drop the race card on her in that one dialogue and get her stammering, "I didn't mean..." Proves she's a hypocritical racist little twitwaffle ;D Good times  Ah yeah, I really disliked all of her dialogue when playing Dalish though, cause she tells you she's surprised to see that you haven't been a "savage" around her; and then she laughs at you when you have to inquire into her past :/. I concluded that the game seems best played if you are a human man, particularly in Howe's Denerim estate where you ask Anora, "Aren't you a little short for a guard?" If you are a human girl, you are the same size as her; if you are any sort of elf or dwarf you are WAY smaller.
  6. The weirdest one is still the Chantry Mother at Lothering I find. You can be Dalish, who know how the Chantry like DESTROYED the Dales, and she still expects a Dalish to give money to a human church. That is the WEIRDEST thing in the game. But then I've realised that majority of this game was written for Human Male only. Especially Leliana's dialogue. It would be nice to have more dialogue for the rest of the origins, but that's a lot of work going into the game, picking out where exactly you could put something in, and then trying to put together a dialogue response to it from the other party.
  7. Not to mention one of the popular Mods is one that whitens the teeth of the characters in the game. I doubt people from that era even had toothbrushes; and English people are very famous for having very BAD teeth. I don't pay attention to the Mods that give you the most beautiful characters around. They are seriously a dime a dozen.
  8. Not to mention that hair is highly impractical for adventurers lol. I think that is the Don't Worry Be Hairy mod. And I read when you install it that you replace the original file with the files in the Mod package. So you will have to put the original hair file back on top.
  9. I think the only thing that makes Wynne and whoever else is gonna give you a lecture is annoying; is because they put this huge lecture BEFORE you've made any decision or heard everything. If your character has done everything good and doesn't trust a Maleficar as far as you can throw him, then OF COURSE you will NOT accept the dirty blood mages deal, but you STILL get that lecture anyway. That is the most annoying thing. I just spam my Esc key as fast as possible cause it's just like, "OF COURSE I'M NOT THAT STUPID!"
  10. I think I am going to wait for the reviews of the game before I commit to buy. I do dislike how Bioware shows us more flashy stuff than things like the User Interface :<.
  11. I think I've worked out why I dislike Alistair (and I'm getting a bit sick of seeing peoples' female PCs with him now >.>); but Alistair is a CHILD. He is still this whiny little baby that wants everyone to make decisions for him :/. I don't hate him, but he is a very big child and he looks at the Grey Wardens moral code with rose-tinted glasses. I read the lore about Duncan, and what Riordan says about the Grey Wardens; and Alistair's take on them is a bit annoying. Especially when it comes to Loghain. Again, think of him as a little boy wielding a toy sword. That is Alistair from the games as I see it, and I think it fits quite well.
  12. Does Jowan say anything interesting if you click on him when he's in your party anyway? I wish there was a way to take the matter straight to Gregoir, I never ever enjoy helping Jowan.
  13. I think what would be more fun, is if there's a speech option which teases them for being scared of that magic lol. Like, "Ohhh, poor whittle Alistair swared of big naaasty demons?"
  14. That is a very nice idea :). It would be hard for the male members of the party to fight in armour with a continuous hard on ;P.
  15. Yeah, actually it would be nice for the fire enchantment to NOT light up the face of the character who has fire on their weapon. And nothing like Rockskin on your character while they are talking to someone :<. I hope there is a mod that would keep the effect but remove those unpleasant textures too.
  16. I play elf because they are my size :), I feel like a giant when I play human :<.
  17. Hey, I was just wondering if there is a cool modder out there who might be able to make some funny vanity items for our characters to wear :). Like it'll be cool if I could have a pair of bunny ears and bunny tail on my PC or maybe some tiny bat wings as a part of a chest piece. Or headbands or head scarfs or bandannas. I was just thinking some cute vanity items to put on my PC will make playing more interesting. It would go perfectly with the pink hair from the Pineapple hair tint mod :).
  18. I don't think Loghain is sex-crazy, from the quote he has if you have him in your party, I don't think he has had sex since his wife passed away. So on Loghain's side there would be no affection. On Morrigan's side, well she really only sleeps with someone if she wants to...
  19. :< I do quite like Zathrien, he gives you a badass weapon if you leave him alive btw. It looks awesome (too bad my main character doesn't USE 2handers :<). Werewolves on the other hand are always hard to fight, my least favourite scenario is when Wynne needs to use a mana potion and there is a character who has a werewolf doing Overwhelm on them T_T.
  20. I would have to say Cauthrien is the most annoying, only because every bit of dialogue she has is SO GODDAMN ANNOYING! I mash my Esc key so I can get to the goddamn fight. I hate listening to that deluded *censored*. Also listening to the demons ramble on before you fight them is also annoying.
  21. I think I would like to add, that any time your character runs with any type of weapon on it is very UGLY. I hate it when my character is still in combat and I have to run with that stupid animation, who the hell runs all hunched over just cause they are holding a staff or something?
