  1. ummm... a little disturbing to see.... I thought it was gonna be a fan made video like all those COD in real life ones.... That guy who hit her better use "showracemenu" before he is visited by the Dark Brotherhood.
  2. @ Logik729 Well thats disappointing news if it turns out to be true :| Oh well *sigh*
  3. The methods of killing would probably have to be heavily coded and scripted for the desired effect. I don't expect to see anything too overly complex, but I think this could be possible. I was playing around today and noticed how people reacted to me when I had taken certain paths in my game, choosing certain factions and hearing the resulting attitude of the opposing side afterwards. This could be set up so that if one used the Notebook in that city/town, if they had gained a reasonable amount of suspicion, or didn't effectively cover their tracks, people would start either talking bad about you, running from you, or if you become discovered, possibly attacking you on sight. Overall, I noticed that if this was to eventually be created, it still would be lacking in terms of story/questing, it just wouldn't have the full effect in regards to those interested in a full blown overhaul. There would have to be either someone, or some group of individuals trying specifically to catch the person responsible for these mysterious killings. This however, would probably require a cast of volunteer voice actors for new npc's if an entire quest-line was introduced. A point counter could be designed and introduced, with positive, neutral, and negative values that determined your notoriety, reputation, responses and reactions to average villagers, guards, followers, enemies, and also the individuals tasked with trying to discover and capture you. A positive counter could mean you are not suspected of anything, and people show you praise instead of hate/fear. Neutral means you haven't killed anyone in that city/town. A negative counter means you are becoming sloppy in your methods of killing, and you are attracting the attention of those around you in a negative way. The higher the value in either reputation determines reactions etc etc. Well I don't want to get too carried away for nothing >.< This is a long shot request anyways so .........
  4. What I really wanna see, is a weapon mod .....no wait.. maybe a mini overhaul... .. well ... I'll just describe it bluntly : The Death Note ( the notebook from the anime show) ☼You must speak with or have a conversation with someone in game to acquire their name(this will however draw suspicion towards yourself if the murder is witnessed in plain sight). Faces can be recorded by simply being within a certain proximity to someone. ☼Can only be used to kill other humanoid creatures. ☼Methods of killing is a pretty large topic, and is a whale of a discussion, or at least it has the potential to be. ☼Decreases respect and increases infamy towards all 'good' based NPCs the more you use the notebook. ☼When you aim it at someone, you can choose to either create a note of their name on a separate document ( if you have spoken to them before) , or choose to kill them however you want based on the rules of the Death Note. ☼Recorded names of people can be accessed via a secondary document where you can choose to kill them at any given time and so on and so forth. ☼ You can choose to summon a "Shinigami" to follow you around as a companion. ☼You can choose to "Deal" with your Shinigami, to acquire Shinigami eyes ( will replace current eyes when Death Note is equipped). You may now learn the names of your victims without talking to them, allowing you to easily avoid any suspicion related to witnessed murders. (Making the deal however will have negative effects on your character, for example, maybe it takes longer to level up, maybe it cuts your HP in half permanently, I do not know yet since it would be hard to replicate such a rule to the actual game) Well, tell me what you think. Could this one day be possible for an insanely skilled modder? Does anyone share an interest in this concept? I for one, can't mod worth pickles, so I am praying someone skilled takes interest in this XD. Anyways, I'm a big fan of the show, the writers and artists are truly incredible, that is why I I brought this up, just popped in my head this morning so I thought I'd share it. I do not know if this will fall under copyright infringement or cause issues with the creators of the show, but it can't hurt to just share ideas I guess. Feel free too add any ideas, opinion, comments, anything at all.
  5. Latex/Leather catsuits. Kimono (not just a regular crappy necro robe either >.>) Starcraft Protoss Race Starcraft Zerg Race Modernized Fashion and Apparel (for example; hoodies, jeans, baseball hats, t-shits, running shoes, Jackets, lingerie, etc) Misc Weapons from movies & games such as : 300 (Spartan Sword), Merlin ( Excalibur), FF7 (Buster Sword Masamune etc), ff8(yada yada yada), Starcraft (Dark Templar Blades).... For starters ;P
  6. I can use most mods with almost no fps loss at all, almost, but when I went to run FXAA Post Process Injector, I received a massive lag spike both to my fps, as well as loading times. My average load time between entering new areas/fast travel, it took around 10-15 seconds, however, with FXAA Post Process Injector installed, it took over 2 and a half minutes minimum to load every time I switched an area, entered a building, fast traveled, and even longer booting up the game. I tried with AA on and off, it didn't make the slightest difference in this matter. The look of the game was significantly improved, but I would rather have minecraft graphics with short load times than wait 2 minutes EVERY load screen for a super realism looking game.
  7. @ Sunnie I agree, Skyrim, in comparison to its predecessors, has been a rather smooth play for me. I have only encountered a few minor bugs, but nothing overwhelming or game destroying. I think people need to give more credit to the companies for making games like this, and seriously chill out with all the trash talk about petty bugs and glitches. They are making these games for YOU, they are even allowing you to use the tools they have created and used to form the game. I don't mind when someone finds a new bug and decides to share it, have a laugh and discuss ways to fix/improve it etc. What I dislike is seeing things blown so far out of proportion over something so trivial that they feel they need to slander the company name and blame everything on them. C'mon, give them a break, the bugs you are fussing over can and will eventually be fixed. There is no such thing as a perfect game ..... except for pong.... not much room for bugs/glitches there .... Happy New Years everyone ^^
  8. @ JeremeW5257 I agree completely, Having the ability to add tattoos and other equipment/clothing/armor so that I do not need to swap out one for another using the Mod Manager would be far more convenient. I want to be able to do this in game, without having to quit to desktop and replace my current body/face textures everytime I want a change. I hope that once the CK comes out (any day now) this will all be possible.
  9. Was wondering if it would be possible to either port over, or design some shmexy latex/leather catsuits and apparel for female characters. The Catsuit mods in Oblivion were excellent, but with the improvements made to Vanilla Skyrim, + the new body mods out, I think the catsuits/leather and latex apparel will look all the more realistic. One of the questions I had floating around has to do with the new clothing slots, and which parts of the body they now take (1 ring slot, 1 body slot, 1 boot slot, 1 head slot, 1 neck slot, 1 hand slot, and I think one more which masks such as "Morokei". I was wondering if it is possible to assign a modded piece to any of these slots? Say if I assigned a piece of body armor to occupy a ring slot, could I in turn wear 2 pieces of armor ( I know they will prolly clip and overlap, but just for the sake of knowing if its possible in Skyrim). Last question is if it will be possible to ADD equipment slots to the game, for things such as pants, extra ring slots, capes, and any other things you might want a slot for? I know this isn't lore friendly, and that is precisely the point. I have multiple characters/versions of the game I am setting up, one for strict Lore/realism, one for a more modernized playthrough (guns and present day clothing etc), a few for specific overhauls ( for example, Bleach overhaul, Naruto Overhaul, you get the idea) and so on and so forth. Anyways thanks for your time, I appreciate any and all replies, links, directions, questions, glasses of milk and fresh pancakes.
  10. Instead of just disabling sun damage, wouldnt it be cool of someone made an interesting quest mod that at the end allowed you to walk in daylight? That would make things at least a little more fun. For example, you have to track down more and more powerfull vampires untill you find the grand-daddy (or grandma) vampire and feed on each of their bodies to gain certain powers/strengths. Just a thought.....
  11. I am really starting to miss my "JB Catsuit Variants". But for Skyrim, I am hoping to see an even more detailed latex catsuit, but as of yet (obviously since CK isn't out yet) I can't find any suits at all. *crosses fingers*
  12. Yes, I didn't want to nit pick, but the horn color seemed like it didn't quite fit as well as it could. Perhaps test out how they would look with the same metalic gloss of the rest of the armor. Even with the natural bone look, it still looks great ;) I'd use this over the vanilla Ebony helm any day.
  13. IMO, looks FAR better than the vanilla helm. Needs a few touchups but it looks wonderfull so far! Cheers!
  14. I don't know if this is even possible, or if it has been done/attempted before, but is there anyone who shares my desire to see limbs lopped off, pools of blood, or anything of the sort added as a mod to Skyrim? The amount of gore right now is pretty limited, a few heads roll but thats about it. :ermm: For those looking for the eventual full blown immersive Skyrim overhaul, wouldn't you expect to see at least ONE body part other than the head removed during a battle.(come to think of it, I've only seen 2 heads removed in my time playing, and they weren't in battle) I mean, seriously, when I am swinging around a claymore the size of my body that fast, and you are wearing leather armor, if at all, you are gonna lose SOMEthing -.- (at the very leasy be sliced wide open with some blood spray and a nice cut texture/mesh on the body) It might be a little far fetched, and again I haven't the foggiest idea if it is even possible, but it would be nice to see that extra added bit of realism to the game. ...or maybe I'm just deeply disturbed >.>
  15. I am sort of thankful for the new engine, I was totally expecting to see more hideous creatures posing as humans when I first played Skyrim. I was amazed to see how much they had improved the vanilla faces as well as vanilla bodies, in comparison to vanilla Oblivion. Even if modders have to use new programs and methods, I doubt it will do anything to stop the landslide of incredible future modding, and perhaps we can expect far more flexibility and quality in term of Skyrim mods because of the new features.
  16. We all know how successful the animation mods were in oblivion, and imo, I can't see myself EVER going back to vanilla animation, most especially in regards to combat. I wont go into details nor name names/mods, but it is safe to say it improved on the overall gameplay immeasurably. Do you think we can expect to see the same in Skyrim? Do you feel Skyrim has more or less potential in terms of modded/tweaked animation in terms of combat. Considering the Skyrim vanilla combat itself is far more impressive than that of its predecessor, Oblivion, are you expecting to see extensive overhauls, or minor adjustments? As of now, I can see quite a few flaws in combat which frustrate me : (Keep in mind I do not know 100% what is, and what isn't within the ability of the game's engine to mod/perform) Dual Wielding : Dual wielding attack speed, lack of unique basic attack animation changes, inability to attack until one animation is finished (making sword/axe/hammer combat seem slow and restricted). 1 Handed + Shield : I would love to see the shield having more than one animation, and when equipped with a 1h weapon, it would be nice to see it joined into a combo attack. (Sort of like a punch attack with the edge of the shield) 2 Handed : Where do I start....Painfully slow, at least it has a couple animations for attack though. Even if it is a 2 handed weapon, it should never be swung so slowly, especially if you invest points onto the skill tree. Bows : The bow is nice once you upgrade the tree, but it still seems lacking in the end. There is no fluid ease of movement, one static animation, and overall needs improvement. Other combat animations and features I also noticed lacking are the absence of directional attacks. Its still the same ; I can only attack what is directly in front of me. I was hoping to see AOE attacks for 2H weapons, backwards stabs for 1H weapons, thrusts with edged/bladed weapons, and some sort of multi-shot/multi-tageting system for bows so you can hit more than 1 target at a time. Anyways, I am going to stop before I find myself in a full scale rant ;) (Oh and this isn't a request of any kind for animation mods or anything of the sort, this is strictly intended to be a discussion of possibilities, current features, and the like, I apologize beforehand if that is what this is interpreted as) Let me know your thoughts and feelings!
  17. What is your favorite place in all of Skyrim? It can be an entire place, a small section, dungeon/cave, a beach, a mountain top, anything that really caught your eye, and state why it is your favorite. Link pics if you like, i'd love to see.
  18. @ Rennn I'm not quite sure, all it says in my device manager is that it is Ati Radeon HD 4600 Series, it is only 400mhz, 1024mb. And if I can run Witcher II on minimum settings and it still be sort of still playable, I guess I can play Skyrim on at least medium with no fps loss, hell I was playing Crysis on high and it ran like a dream... The games I can play on high with no loss of framerate (not ultra high/max settings mind you) are FEAR, FEAR2, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock, Bioshock2, PREY, Crysis, Medal Of Honor,, as well as a few online games like Perfect World, Need For Speed World, Shaiya, Rappelz, Archlord, Vindictus, and a few others. If I try to play them on max settings, the framerate can dip below 30, and even to the single digits if the game is anything like The Witcher II. If there is a way to find out exactly which card I have in the 4600 series lemme know, I will most likely have to open my tower and take a look the the actual card though. Anyways thanks for the reply! ^^
  19. I would also like to know before I pick up a copy for my pc. I have had a bad run of luck lately in buying games my pc can't handle (the Witcher II being the most recent). Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 2.33GHz ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series (1gig) 8G Ram 1TB HD Windows Vista X64 SP2 If Skyrim uses as much of my PC's juice as The Witcher II did, then unfortunately I will have to cry and wait untill I can afford a pretty new video card that isn't worth a bag of unsalted peanuts, the no name brand kind too >.> Any help would be appreciated ^^
  20. @Firestorm01 : Oblivion has been out for quite some time now and the quality and amount of mods are incredible. I am not tech savvy either, but I know that the game engine it much more flexible compared to Fallout 3 and Falout NV. I dont think I have a single ugly character in Oblivion, they all look stunning, beautiful, and very very lifelike. Perhaps one reason is because of the vanilla facial construction settings allowing a far greater scope and variety, as opposed to Fallout's tormentingly limited settings. @GenocideLolita : First I just want to say that your "Crusader : No Remorse/No Regret" Avatar PWNS everything, prolly one of my all-time fav PC games  Also, I think I have managed to pick through enough textures/meshes and mods to finally be able to come a tiny bit closer to a better face for my character, and I thank you for your help in this matter ^^. Fallout 3 and NV are still relatively new I guess, and like Oblivion, I am sure there is still MUCH more we can expect in the future. The only issue I have now is to fix the new lag that came with NV, (unlike my face texture/mesh problem, this one seems just unfixable) I have added/replaced dll's, modified the ini files extensively, changed settings while both in and out of game. As of now I have almost completely removed the stutter, loading new areas no longer makes my game run choppy, and loading times are nearly cut in half. However, I must do this with no HDR settings, which for me is annoying because bloom makes things either too bright or too dark. I cant use the max resolution because the stutter will come back, and I must set land detail to lowest and completely remove shadows in order for the game to run even remotely as fast as Fallout 3(Its not like NV is boasting this ultimately more complex graphics system -.- like wth lol) Anyways ty both for your replies, much appreciated.
  21. I am sort of new to this whole Fallout scene, so forgive my unholy nubbiness when it comes to stating the obvious and dragging up old topics I never bothered to search for >.< Anyways, I was really getting into Fallout 3, I played it for a solid 2 weeks, and have it heavily modded,as well as F:NV, but after all that modding, my character still seems to be.... well to put it bluntly... ugly. Is this an unchangeable feature built into the game's engine? Are we all destined to walk around the desert as fugly creatures? Is it possible to get beautiful races and characters like I have in TES4:Oblivion? If it wasnt for the horrendous and hauntingly wretched design and limitation of facial customization, this game would completely PWN everything. Aaanywho, just wanted to know if beauty is a possibility because the realism and immersion seems completely ruined to me because of this. I appreciate any and all replies, feel free to share your thoughts, im just hoping its not only me who thinks this lol.
