Python script for stairs

I am really sorry about that. I am building a custom tileset in blender for use in oblivion. I know how to build tiles that are all on the same level and add textures and collision to the meshes. I have however been trying to build a staircase in blender for the past few days and stumbled upon python scripts for blender 2.49b. the links for all but one of the stair scripts seem to be dead but the one that works is for dais type steps. I need either a straight staircase or a spiral one and building it myself has been met with total failure -
I have looked everywhere. every link seems to be either dead or beyond my comprehension. I have tried building them myself with no success. If anyone can find a working link or explain to me how to get one working, Id be much obliged

I have looked at several vanilla meshes in blender and don't understand how they are done. Single texture meshes are simple enough but I am at a point where I need to apply two or Three to a single mesh. If anyone could walk me through it or point me in the right direction, I'd be forever grateful.

I have some ideas. Dont worry EDIT: I have this texture I made. I am trying to mirror it left to right (or right to left. doesnt matter) I dont want to just flip it but actually have a mirrored copy next to it. I then want to do it top to bottom so that there are four parts all sharing an identical corner. Can you do that in gimp? -
