  1. So i got my mother morrowind for her PC but i know that she enjoys having pretty good graphics so vanilla morrowind just won't do for her. anyone have any suggestions on what mods i should use, or a mod compilation.
  2. most compasses don't point towards your objective in real life.
  3. Having modding support itself actually increases their sales as well. so making mod support easier also increases their sales, business 101 make things easy for the stupid people on the market. (not calling anyone stupid it seriously is something i've learned in the business world)
  4. Paranoid. Defined. If you honestly think Bethesda or Steam is going to control modding this much, I would be paranoid too, however, this isn't as bad as your brain is making it out to be. If you only knew... :whistling: That is the second time you've said that in this thread. it seems you have some sort of hidden knowledge over us that we can not see, we would be delighted if you could enlighten us rather than continue saying "if only you knew"
  5. That would be great, an easy option for donating to modders would be excellent. And theirs always a choice in matters, it just needs to be found.
  6. no need to hate on bethesda just yet mate, when they start making cash off of mods people make then you can join me in raging in front of their offices.
  7. You can read the terms and conditions on submitting content to the workshop right now. Unless they change it, it is certainly feasible and within their legal rights to do so if you upload to it. If they do their bound to recieve a lot of flak. sure they can but, it doesn't mean they will. People love steam, valve, BGS so much I doubt it would get much flak at all, especially when the uploader gets a whooping 25%. I don't think it will happen this time either. The first thing is to test the official distribution, it's only later they will lock it down to user account to actual esp files and the only distribution network being steam. It is all about getting mods on the xbox, these are required steps to convince M$ it is controllable and feasible. An option implement the micro transaction model is already inplace with the addition of the workshop. It's really annoying that we've been conversing across multiple threads about the same thing. :) Theres no problem with uploaders making a little cash, heck some of them deserve that money, other people not so much. Though i love my free mods i wouldn't be entirely opposed to paying for some good ones, but not to a company, only to the developers of the mod. Some modders would be opposed to the whole system and would refuse to upload there. some people still have principles.
  8. Then people still have the option to not post their mods on steam, if they make it steam exclusive you find a way around. Modders though wouldn't mind if they can collect a little cash from their nicer mods. you know the ones that take a huge amount of time and work to make. Edit: Not saying steam would make this an option for cash flow to the modders, just saying they might if they do something like this.
  9. You can read the terms and conditions on submitting content to the workshop right now. Unless they change it, it is certainly feasible and within their legal rights to do so if you upload to it. If they do their bound to recieve a lot of flak. sure they can but, it doesn't mean they will.
  10. Ignorance is bliss. It seems to me that your quite intelligent but you seem a bit paranoid. If you take the proper precautions and if you have some know how none of the possible issues from steam will bother you.
  11. Lol, i've come to the nexus site for like 4 years, then last year i made an account, and now i'm posting more often.
  12. You obviously have no idea how games are made. If they hadn't made it. 1: Skyrim wouldn't be out 2: it would take longer than a month to build. Now no more trolling, or stop being sarcastic, or read a book. choose a response that is appropriate to the situation. EDIT: editing to respond to your edit. It's not tacked onto steam, steam is just there for easy access to mods, and the usual steam stuff. :/
  13. You need to relax most of that is unlikely to happen. most...
  14. What is it you mean by alley, Do you mean like two open areas on the outsides and then a bottleneck alley in the center?
  15. Now when we release mods we have the choice to put it on the nexus ( Good for getting it to all the nexus people) or the steam workshop (for getting the mod to all the people that don't know about the nexus) (just put it on both) for modders it sounds like a win-win, well thats how i see it.
  16. you are late to work because you can't find the "E" button to get in your car. you ride a horse to work. (i live on a horse farm and have actually done this)
  17. Are you in the fourth stage of vampirism? i'm pretty sure thats a requirement for curing it with him. Telling OP to go become a werewolf doesn't really solve his problems.
  18. you try to conjure a flame Atronach to help you fight a bully. you cast invisibility to sneak into a class your late for. You enchant a ring with 50% better math. You intimidate your teacher so he'll tell you the test's answers. you open every book in a library hopeing for skill points. You pull up someone's garden for alchemical supplies. you crouch on the ground when reaching in someone's pocket. You never blink you try to get well rested by sleeping in your own bed (because this never happens in real life) you claim computers as lost dwemer technology. you ask a pale skinned person how good they are in the arcane arts.
  19. if there is someone ever going to do it, to put all the path, tree, nps, as well as includes all the quests from oblivion, i guess the earliest beta that will turns out would be 3 years from now, say 2014, by that time, everyone interest will die out except for the few hardcore skyrim players. even then, a new elder scrolls 6 would come out. If that's your belief then i'll be glad to welcome you to your first elder scrolls game.
  20. Well the animation exists in game for npcs, you could probably then switch to another control mode where the keys on your keyboard are then attributed to a note. so hitting a key on your keyboard would play either one note, or a chord. chords would make it easier to play nicer music. just a few ideas.
  21. Sounds like death would be a good mod. :P, you can probably just replace their sound file with a blank one. It would help if someone knows where they are.
  22. Some things take time, the CK is well worth the wait.
