  1. Sounds pretty good, thanks for the suggestion! :D
  2. Yeah, I wasn't expecting it either, it's rather strange. I'm not even sure why things were translated because, like you said, it really only removes trash and such from the ground. I could change it all back (FO3Edit shows the original english title right next to the translated french) but it'd take a long time, and not really worth the hassle. It was an older PC when I used it before and fortunately my current PC doesn't really need it anyhow, as it turns out. So no big loss. Thank you though for tracking it down, I do appreciate it.
  3. Just for future reference to anyone else, the above version of the mod does change location names to French. Doors to places like the Brass Lantern in Megaton become "Le Brass Lantern" and houses are "Maison de Jericho", etc.
  4. I'm getting ready to install FO3 again and grabbing up all the old mods I used to have. There are a few missing from the Nexus that I found elsewhere, but one of them I can't find anywhere. It was called "Taking Out The Trash" and it cleaned up tons of useless clutter/paper throughout the Wasteland. It's been deleted from the Nexus and seemingly purged from the internet altogether. Anyone know where I can find it?
  5. Thanks for the responses. Through your info and a video tutorial someone just posted, I've got it working now. You rock!
  6. Awesome tutorial. Helped me with a problem I was having getting custom weapons to be upgradable at grindstones.
  7. Anyone figure out how to do this? I have a custom sword I've put together, and it works fine in-game except for one thing: I can't upgrade it at any of the smithing grindstones. What do I need to add and/or modify so that my weapon is upgradable?
  8. My apologies for the slight necro-bump here. Just wondering, is this possible to do backwards? Convert a mod from New Vegas so that it works in Fallout 3. How would one go about doing that?
  9. @XTR3M368: Huh, okay. I was just going by personal experience. If that's not the case for you, I suppose at least you've got that much narrowed down. Not sure what else would do it though. Hopefully you get it figured out.
  10. @XTR3M368: Stuff like that will happen to pages when you're using too many filters in your adblocking plugins/addons. Try disabling them and viewing the page again, the site will likely load properly then.
  11. @LHammonds: How is reporting a bug "pure criticism"? My original post simply said that the images seemed stretched out to me, which I assumed was a bug. Even included screenshots. Not sure how that can be construed as criticism. But okay. :)
  12. Images are still stretched/warped on the "Latest files" page. Here's a screenshot: http://i55.tinypic.com/2ecndoh.jpg I'm using Firefox 3.6.20. EDIT: They are stretched on individual file pages as well. Another screenshot: http://i54.tinypic.com/n6x44g.jpg This looks rather bad with the images all warped like that.
  13. "...thumbnail images will no longer stretch to fit a specific size in most areas of the site now..." Thumbnails are still stretched on most of the site for me, particularly in the "Latest files" section. I'm using Firefox 3.6.20.
  14. 3:10 AM here in the US (EST), and the DLC is now available for purchase!
  15. It seems to have been pulled from the Steam store here in the US, as it's not supposed to be released until tomorrow (2/22).
  16. Not sure about upgrading the RAM, since I use Windows XP. Most of that 4gb would go to waste, and I don't really want to switch to Vista or 7. I'm looking at the 460's on Newegg, surprised how low-priced they are. Just over $150, which is actually cheaper than what I originally paid for my current 9600 GT.
  17. I'm looking into upgrading the videocard for my desktop PC, but I'm curious just how "new" I can go that my system will actually be able to handle. In other words, could I upgrade to something like the nVidia GeForce GTX 400 series, or only the 200 series? Or something else entirely? (I much prefer nVidia, but I'm willing to try ATi if it's worthwhile to switch) My current specs: Power Supply: 650 watts Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz Memory: 2GB System RAM Hard Drive: 250GB Video Card: GeForce 9600 GT Operating System: Windows XP Home SP3 Motherboard: ASUS P5N-E SLI So, given that... what do you think my system could handle for a new videocard?
  18. Anyone know why this mod was deleted from the New Vegas Nexus? http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35450 Just curious.
  19. I figured out what I was doing wrong. In the "Model Data" window (for editing a static object), I had to right-click the model name and select new. From there I was able to select my custom texture set for the object. I don't know if this will prevent it from changing everywhere in the game or not though. EDIT: Yay! I've got it all working now. My art only appears in the saloon, nowhere else.
  20. Inside the Prospector Saloon in Goodsprings, there are several posters hanging on the walls near the bar and pool table. I've got some custom artwork I'd like to replace those with, but I can't quite figure out how. The biggest problem is that when I just replace the texture, the change happens in several locations throughout the Mojave, not just the saloon. I want to replace the art just in the saloon, not anywhere else in the game. I was told this involved changing form IDs, but that didn't seem to help. I tried making a custom "Texture Set" but can't figure out how to actually use it on the object I want. So how do I go about setting up one specific object to use my custom texture and not have it appear everywhere else that object is used in the game? The posters I'm referring to, globally edited: http://oi55.tinypic.com/15d6onl.jpg http://oi56.tinypic.com/nywcgn.jpg
