  1. I cannot get this to work. My character's name is Beryk gra-Noruz Annnd every time I type in SPF Beryk gra-Noruz I get an error message. I assume that it's the spaces messing it up, but then how am I supposed to type my name if it has spaces in the actual name?
  2. Yep, totally want to see some handsome male followers. It's tough finding a nice guy in vanilla. I like it when people make mods of guys but rarely do they seem to be romanceable. I certainly think that the mod "Final Younger Characters" helps with that though.
  3. I too would also like to know this because I am ready to start a new character but want my main orc gal to be present in my new character's story.
  4. I really want to use Wyre Bash. I really really do. But it requires you to have Skyrim installed somewhere other than your Program Files and I'm not re-installing my game just to be able to use it. That sounds like a major headache. I've been thinking of doing the sorting by folders thing but have no idea how that would work in game. Do you switch out which folders you use depending on who you want to play as?
  5. The more I progress with my main orc gal and draw close to a point in her story where I want to make a new character, the more I begin to feel intimidated by how the save system treats different characters. That is, different character saves are all jumbled and mashed together and there is absolutely no organization to it. I have seen some mods that cover this but I have no idea if they are good and many of them either seem complicated to use, not recently updated, and do the organization all out of game. I take it no one had found a way to alter the actual in game screen into sorting different characters for you? What do you guys do to organize your saves? Do you use a mod or do you use some sort of sorting in game or through folders? I need your help and tips!
  6. I guess I must be one of like 2 people who did not like the re-design. Skyrim orcs are too human to me, especially female orcs. What happened to them being an ugly, savage people? But again, this is more of a problem with the female side of things. And guess which gender I play.... I like the idea of making them less cartoony and more realistic like but I would have liked it if they kept more of their distinguishly orcish traits. But to add some positive to this post, I am absolutely in love with the dungeons of Skyrim. Every time I get to romp through one it's pure bliss for me.
  7. I don't have any particular affection towards them. I'm not really an elf or human kind of gal so I prefer orcs, khajiit, and argonians. Although, I do have a liking for Dark Elves. But at the same time, I can't think of an Altmer that's really stood out to me. Same for Bosmer. It's just....eh.
  8. Which had nothing to do with attributes and everything to do with level scaling. Getting rid of attributes just got rid of more customization, diversity and individuality for RPs. Whatever small improvements Skyrim made here and there (mostly stuff from previous games like mounted combat), they dumbed down too much for it to really matter. Magic is a complete joke in Skyrim and the worst it has ever been. We got less of everything when it came to magic. Oh yeah, I don't have a problem with attributes themselves. But since the problem I have concerns attributes, I associate it with that. Specifically what I hate is, in order to be a good, strong and decent character, you need to level this way: Okay make your major attributes something you never use and are controllable. Okay good. Now, every level, make sure you level a skill associated with the attribute you want to level five times. Okay, good.... That drives me up the wall and comes pretty close to being a deal breaker with the games for me. And yet, if I don't do that way of leveling, then I am running around the game being destroyed by monsters.
  9. While I do like the idea of having attributes..... Eh. Going to be honest. Glad they got rid of them. I hated the leveling system of Oblivion. If you didn't know what you were doing you could level up your stats all wrong and end up being a weak character. Hated that.
  10. This is why I am personally not looking forward to DA3. They already had a game all about the mages and templars. It was called DA2. I do like the conflicts between the two but I never thought it warranted an entire game around them. I am aalso still not too happy that the game is yet again 100% human focused. I loved the dwarves! Want to see more of them. But nope, humans. Well consider the end. IT started something. so should we just ignore that there is a battle going on between chantry and the mage circles? yeah lets forget all about it. Just ignoring what happened in Dragon Age 2 story line just because you didnt like the story line doesnt mean they should just ignore it and pretend it never happened. that makes for a bad 3rd Dragon Age. You can feature a storyline without making it the main focus. If most DA fans dig the whole mage vs. chantry thing soooo much that it has to be what the series is associated with then, I guess I will just stick to the first game and pretend everything after Awakening didn't happen.

  12. He is sexist. Of course it's a product of his society but the same thing honestly happened in real life too. He believes that women should stay in the jobs that society deems them to be fit for, such as a tailor. In the conversation he also lists other jobs he thinks that women are suited for and they are all stereotypical domestic jobs. While having the right to vote was at the forefront of the women's rights movement, discrimination in the workforce is a huge factor. If someone pursues a job and is fit for it, they should be allowed to practice that job. And that is what makes Sten sexist. Technically. However, that does not make him a bad person and in my file Sten and I are total BFFs.
  13. I am too ashamed to mention how many hours I have invested in Skyrim.... :ohdear: ....it's called way too much time on my hands.... You and I obviously see immersion in combat, RP for combat gaming and what creates a good warrior in very different ways....go through the history books and you will find specialization very common and they become very good at their chosen field and tend to stick with it.....I found in Skyrim personally before I selected higher difficulties and downloaded combat realism mods I was able to use his Duel Wield back up effectively....but once the difficulty went up and the combat realism mods went in as my dude is primarily an Archer his swordsmanship and Armor rating do not keep up with the levels so well.... :ohdear: ....doesn't leave him too healthy. That said, if he has to cqc his Bow still remains his best option....can block and stagger with a Bow and dodging remains more viable due to the stance....He is a Bowman, that is his combat RP....And NEVER touches magic....also an RP choice....his a Nord he doesn't trust magic, in fact there is a mod out there that removes all start up magic spells, I use it, he doesn't do magic....I am still looking to remove his magika bar altogether. My thoughts on console commands....the only way you can cheat in a SP game is if it is cheating yourself of your own enjoyment of the game.....as for RP perspective, console command is a boon....such as my wiping out the Thieves Guild, that's exactly what my Dovahkin would do and console makes his RP possible. *ear tic* Combat realism mods? Tonight I did the quest where you go to the Winterhold college. But good point on the RP thing. Darn I love me some good RP.
  14. Anyone know if there is a male body replacer or a mod that lets you customize the male body in some way? I am trying to make a dazzingly beautiful male Breton. The original male body has thick arms (even at the smallest level they're still a bit thicker than what I want) and chest hair. And these work well for a Nord or an Orc or a lumberjack kind of guy. But I want a magical vampire gentleman with enchantingly handsome good looks. ALSO! Is there a quest that allows me to better organize my quests, especially the miscellaneous ones? I have a lot that my character won't do because she's lawful good so I'd like to put some of them permanently on hide.
  15. This isn't that fantasy universe though. The TES series is much grittier than most traditional fantasy universes. Realism, consistency, and believability are huge factors for the more serious and more dark fantasy universes. And I'd also like to note that not all fantasy universes are the same. Some rely very heavily on magic and other crazy fantastical aspects. While others are more realistic. For instance, you can't really compare a fantasy universe like.....A Song of Ice and Fire to.....Final Fantasy. I do think that TES is closer to A Song of Ice and Fire than Final Fantasy. And perhaps that is not too surprising seeing as we have many Game of Thrones mods. (Game of Thrones is the first book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series) In TES, magic is not an overpowering element of the world. It is mysterious and the mages aren't all that numerous. Someone else on this forum has mentioned that regular citizens of Skyrim are even fearful of magic. Although I am not sure what source he has gotten this from? People live and act like they are in the medieval ages. (without the sexism) The farmers look like farmers, not mages. And the more magical creatures in the world are deadly and spell doom for those who are not equipped to deal with them. They are playing the right game actually. This is the perfect game for roleplaying and immersion. It has a huge world to adventure and do whatever in. It has mods to enhance the experience with if you so choose. Skimpiness is optional. But not really lore-friendly. And it's fine if you don't feel everything needs to be lore-friendly. But it's not lore-friendly. For example, how can you have asian things in the game if there is no Asia in Tamriel? People who enjoy lore and lore friendly enjoy being immersed into the world and to have things in the world be consistent. Once you take away that consistence, it's no longer lore-friendly.
