  1. So I am trying to have Vortex manage my SkyrimVR and FO4VR mods and cant seem to get them working. I own and still play the non-vr version of each, but also each game says its missing its respective VR.ini file. Im following the reddit guide and its just telling me how to do it if I dont own the original game.
  2. So I play using mods like Frost and Horizon which are both hardcore sort of survivally things. Frost has its own sanity thing dealing with killing people, though I am not sure I ever saw the effects of it. Sanity in game is one of those things I love, I think its a super cool system. But something I would love to see is a form of sanity that affects Accuracy, Aimed Gun Sway, and Movement speed sort of representing guilt or depression or something like that. When you fail social rolls, when you first injure someone, when you kill someone, when hunger or thirst advances in stage, and of course just over time you slow down. How do you fix this? Spend time with Loved Ones, or in a happy settlement. Buffs like Lover's Embrace would provide protection from Depression/Guilt and spending time in a settlement with over like 80 Happiness would low guilt and over 90 happiness would lower it even faster. Maybe even when you are traveling with a companion you get a small guilt protection buff and then when you have a companion who you have the perk from you get a slightly bigger guilt protection buff. Just thinking of this from how it would feel mechanically and I think it could feel kind of cool. Like just over time you realize how terrible things are, maybe even adding a slight gray filter to the world when the depression gets bad enough, but then you go back into town and see all the people you care about and you remember why you do it all. I mean if I were allowed to venture further into this I would love to see Charisma reworked for a system like this, like perks for making settlements happier, protecting from depression, healing depression and the like. Lol, Animal Friend and Wasteland Whipserer having special dialogue attached to them that lets you like pet a dog you meet in the wild and it gives you depression protection because petting doggo always makes like better :D. I know this would probably be super hard to code, I know I certainly dont have the experience to do so, but it would be really cool to have more actual function for Settlements.
  3. Are there mods that add Degradation to weapons and armor in game? I know Power Armor can fall apart, I just miss the tension that came with weapons breaking mid fight.
  4. So I know there are probably mods like this all over, but I cant find them. Fores New Idles in Skyrim allowed me to tell my character to do idle animations and I have no idea what mods there are to let me do the same thing in FO4. I need it for a Let's Play Cinematic Series I want to do.
  5. So I have kind of a fondness for this one play through I did where I was mainly focusing on building Robots and using Energy Weapons trying to emulate the idea of being an OTT comicbook villain. Now I want to go back and try it again and I am looking for an ENB to support it. Anyone know of a good ENB or graphics overhaul that makes the game look more cartoony or more brightly colored? I am already going to be using things like Manufacturing Extended, CROSS, Horizon, and the like to support the mad science part of it all, but I would love to have a graphical style that supports the more comicbook villain feel. Also if you know mods that add more voices to the robots please point them out, because I want more voices for my robots.
  6. Hey so I am actually looking to change the "Hello" dialogue when initiating speech and just replace it with the audio clip of the Vault-Tec Rep going "Vault-Tec Calling!" so my character says it every time he talks to someone. I would make it myself but I cant even seem to get into the creation kit.
  7. Wait... did you suggest a mod or were you just saying they exist? If you know any of them I would love to have a link to them. Otherwise I just have to use neon lights to make the sign at Sanctuary say "No Sanctuary" while striking out the word hills, which looks silly.
  8. Oh man there is a wealth of awesome Lore Accomodating mods out there. Not all of them are the same, but I have played with all of these. First Things First you will probably want Armor and Weapon Keywords Extended and Armorsmith Extended as these reassign the locations for a lot of the armors in the game allowing you to wear any clothing with any armor. So Reginalds Outfit + full suit of Armor. Second up if you like building settlements I would definitely suggest getting Conquest which is made by IMO the single best mod author ever Chesko (Sorry everyone else). Conquest allows you to set up to I think its like 10 NEW settlements ANYWHERE YOU WANT. This helps with the fact that you only save on sleeping. Third, If you are playing survival for the difficulty aspect I am going to suggest Horizon by Zawinul. This makes survival much more intense, has a lot more meters to check, injuries matter, and just over all a much more engaging experience. This Mod Is Not For The Faint Of Heart. YOU WILL DIE. a lot. With the loss of fast travel you may need help lugging all your new stuff back to base and for this I suggest Salvage Beacons by kinggath. This allows you to set up a relay at your settlements and you can make beacons at a chemistry station. Drop the beacon in a box drop in all the stuff you want to be taken back to base and a new immortal npc will come, pick it up, and take it back to your place. Awesome awesome mod that makes things like 100x easier. Also if you are like me and like HAVING settlements but not so keen on BUILDING houses I would suggest Sim Settlements also by kinggath. This mod makes it so you can give plots of land to settlers and they will build their own houses, farms, or businesses based on how you zone it. Sim Settlements also has several sub mods where others have built new zones, including Industrial City and Ruined Homes and Gardens which are both great additions. Honestly this one makes a world of difference as it lets you see a marked progress in your settlements. For some added settlement difficulty I also really really like "Mortal Settlers" by Thom293, which does exactly as it says on the tin, it makes it so settlers can die. Its not for everyone but I really enjoy high difficulty curves. Umm... lets see. Passive Water Resources by ghzfba is a super great mod for survival. It gives you like container type things that store and collect water. Nice for that immersive feel as they collect it over time in various real seeming ways.
  9. So I am looking for one and I haven't found it yet, but its hard to imagine it not being out there. Has anyone made or found a mod that gives you painted letters, marks, and symbols you can put up in settlements? It seems like it would be really good for raider settlements.
  10. So in Fallout 4 Dogmeat is kind of neat for one thing, and that is that he seems to track where the player is moving to and actually dashes ahead of you. This is good if you are playing sort of a squishy character. What I am wondering is if there are any mods for Skyrim that make companions act like that. I often play Merchants and Mages and I hate that any ambush hits me first, then my companions close in. I want my companions to surround me in a more tactical fashion. Yes I know this means more blocked doors but as long as I can sprint I can get past that.
  11. So right now I am using the mod "Unlimited Companion Framework" as my multiple follower mod, and I love being able to have more than one follower but now I am wondering if there is a mod that allows you to issue commands to specific followers from a distance maybe from a list or something because I am having a lot of trouble targeting the exact companion I want a lot of the time. I know there was UFO for Skyrim that lets you do it, but I also understand that without the "Shout" button it may be more complicated. Any existing mods that work like that?
  12. So I havent heard much from folks about adding new robot voices to automatron which surprises me because I figured that would be like the first thing people would want to do. Are there any mods you have found that adds new automatron voices? Have you added any without removing an old voice?
  13. So I have been having a problem with my robot companions failing to unlock a door or failing to hack a computer and apparently just giving up on ever serving that function ever again. I like to have lots of companions using the Unlimited Followers mod and generally try to include two non-combat robots who just hack and pick locks. But the first time they fail in their function they apparently just get so depressed about it that they cease to serve any function at all. Are there any mods or anything out there that fix this because I haven't found anything as of yet and would really really like to be able to fix my sad bots.
  14. So I have been playing a Super Villain in FO4 named Doctor Ushanka (Yes, like the hat) and I have noticed something missing from my game world... SUPERHEROES! I know I can have the Costumes for the Silver Shroud and Grognak but its not the same. So my request is kind of simple, and I am willing to undertake it even if I can find a tutor to walk me through how to do it. I want to make The Unstoppables as end game level (50+) foes in Fallout 4. I am thinking all 4 would be Legendary Enemies so they get to Mutate thus giving them respectable health and adding more tension to their fights. They would all use their own costumes Grognak and Silver Shroud of course using the ones already in the game. A modder named Tacoduck made costumes for the other three which I love, one is a reskinned version of Maxon's Cape. But it would be awesome to have these kind of high level specialized foes with their own special abilities like the Silver Shroud going Invisible, Grognak resisting ranged attacks, Mistress of Mystery being able to disarm the player, Manta Man having pet Mirelurk Queens, Inspecter having "magic" (radiation attacks) and being able to revive ghouls...
  15. So I started a play through of FO4 as the Robot-Themed super villain Doctor Ushanka (Yes, like the hat). I have had a bunch of fun building up my base, but I recently finished off Automatron which is leaving me feeling like there is a bit of a void in the Commonwealth... you see I feel like the Commonwelath is missing something important. I miss having the "Super Hero" which was supposed to be the Mechanist. So I am looking for mods that will help fill this void by adding enemies to my game that will feel like Heroes. I already plan to go to Nuka-World soon to take over the raider gangs and have the Operators and the Pack at my back and maybe after raiding some settlements some heroes will fight back but I haven't heard of that happening at all.
  16. So I do not know if anyone here has mucked around with the Pip-Boy App but it is a little bit of a genius addition to the game which is horrendously under-utilized. What I am curious about is if anyone has found anything in the creation kit which allows you to muck with the way the app interacts with the game. What I was thinking of was things like Remote Hacking allowing the App User to hack computers for the Player, maybe while they are doing other stuff. Or if that is too big even something like giving EXP or special perk rewards for playing the different mini-games like Red Menace. My girlfriend and I like to do some side-by-side play and it kinda sucks to only be able to use drugs and such... I would love to have a way to be more useful when I am the app user.
  17. Just a neat idea for the Children of Atom out there. Something that lets you add a "Leaky Power Core" mod to the power armor chest piece which does Rad Damage to any near by foe.
  18. See I think "Nerd Rage" or the slow time effect perk should have been Endurance or Perception because that reaction is a panic response, not an intelligence response. I don't know what would have gone better in its place, but Nerd Rage seemed like such a weird pick. I assume its there to make a pure intelligence build combat viable, but int is where all of your craft perks (save for Blacksmith, Armorer and Dem Expert) are.
  19. Yeah but thats not really fallout like or genius like. I mean were they really that pressed for ideas?
  20. So I have recently become hyper annoyed with the "Nerd Rage" perk and its place at Intelligence 10. I was hoping someone would have an idea for a thematically more appropriate Perk for Intelligence 10. I was thinking like working on legendary weapons, experimenting on NPCs, or something that just made intelligence 10 feel more intelligence-y.
  21. So... as per the title I HATE NERD RAGE. Not mechanically speaking, mechanically speaking it is AWESOME! Makes for a very high octane feeling play through where I can run and gun and go into bullet time while smashing my way through the wasteland leaving a path of destruction in my wake... But thats the problem... that not very intelligence-y. Like I can see it for perception, or endurance, or agility, but... Intelligence? I mean cmon that is lame. I was hoping for something more thematic for my int 10 character. Like Legendary stuff crafting, or maybe some sort of exp boost, or maybe something that feels Smart. Instead of being left feeling like a genius the character becomes the Hulk and that is not the Epitome of genius and its hard to validate why in the wastes they would do that.
  22. Except this is a thread SPECIFICALLY ABOUT SUPPLY LINES and how I do not understand why mine are not working. You see you play the game one way, I play the game one way, and while there is overlap I am still playing it differently. I want Sanctuary to provide water to the whole Commonwealth, which it cannot do if the supply lines cannot do that. You may have implied it but didn't actually say it which may be where I got confused. I have been on more than one forum all day trying to get a conclusive answer and so far I have you saying "Water and Food do not keep other settlements from going red" and some others saying that it will.
  24. You won't have a very happy population if you don't give them food and water. Which can lead to them turning against you and leaving. Also, water can be a major source of income. If you produce a massive surplus of water where it is possible you make a fortune. In my current game Sanctuary Hills produces 123 Water and is connected to literally every settlement DIRECTLY. I have a total population of 53. I produce a total of 56 food. Excluding Sanctuary Hills and Abernathy Farms every settlement I go to has Food, Water, and Happiness in the red and I do not know why as both Food Rating and Water Rating of the Network SHOULD (By basic arithmetic) exceed the number of settlers. I can post pictures if you assume I am doing my math wrong, but its going to be like 3 or 5 for every settlement so it could take a little bit.
  25. So I have been running experiments in FO4 to try to suss out how Settlement Building can be done as effectively as possible and to make my settlements as functional as possible. Sanctuary is my major trade hub where all Supply Line come from so that I know all of my other settlements have supplies, It also produces over 120 water which until earlier today I thought would keep any other settlement from needing water. Starlight Drive-in has both Deathclaws for entertainment and Brahmin for fertilizer. Sunshine Tidings is where I send robots I no longer love. And last but not least Red Rocket exists as a testing grounds for the most important item in the freaking game.... The Salvage Station. The Wikia claims that instead of finding 1 Junk Item per day that any unemployed settler will find 2 Junk Items a Day which means twice as productive and not as much money diverted from my poop to jet trade making it so I can fund my empire off the back of Myron (May he rest in peace). So every day I go to the Red Rocket in order to collect what they have found and place it somewhere else (Sanctuary normally). What I am finding since I started paying attention though is something like 2 tatos and 1 corn, or 10 Water 1 mutfruit or some annoying monstrosity like that. I must be doing this wrong... Salvage Stations are meant to give me junk items... is the close by proximity to Sanctuary (Where lots of Water, Mutfruit, Corn, and Tatos are grown) causing problems? Could it be an issue with the Trade Routes? Why is Red Rocket Salvage a Farm?
