  1. this is by far the funniest problem I've seen anyone have in this game. ;D
  2. I made this thread earlier, but I'm not sure if I should have been posting in the Technical section or the Mod troubleshooting section, so I'll put it here as well. Hey Nexus, Sorry to have to turn here, I don't like doing this but sometimes I have too. I'm having a problem with my ENB mod on Fallout 3. Specifically, though, whenever I wear the "Marine Armor" or see an NPC wearing said armour something weird happens with the ENB, a huge lens flare appears over the armour and the screen dims to black, literally to the point where I cannot see a thing on screen bar some strange lens flaring. It's hard to describe without showing you and even then pictures don't really show you the problem enough but: http://qupload.com/images/fallout320.jpg Here are some other photos of the bug in more detail (what you can make out at least) http://qupload.com/i...s/fallourxr.jpg http://qupload.com/i...s/falloulgl.jpg I'm running Fallout 3 on Ultra (minus the default Anti-aliasing and all the tweaks to get ENB to run in the first place etc) with the Midhrastic ENB on at the moment. I feel like i've exhausted everything I can do, I've tried a retexture of the outfit and I've even thought of just not using the armour, but a hell of a lot of NPCs use the armour, so while this bug happens my game is unplayable. I really don't want to play Fallout 3 without ENB, and one of the reasons I reinstalled was so I can play this mod on my new gaming rig that would handle extreme graphics. This bug happened before, but only briefly so I just ignored it. At night in the Courtyard of the BoS Citadel, I think a spotlight or the sky's texture caused it. But that being minimal I just ignored it. I can give you my load order, and I can give you my specs. I'm not too bright when it comes to this area of modding but I know just about enough. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :D
  3. Try using NMM instead, it depends on preference but if FOMM doesn't work then using NMM is your best bet. If you're adamant on using FOMM then make sure you have the latest version downloaded and installed?
  4. Damn, just when I thought I had the answer you go and fix it yourself!! :ermm:
  5. Bit of thread necro here but other people may have had this problem. I have had this, and I know what it is. It's the most simplest thing and I kick myself for it for not figuring it out immediately. The mod that causes this problem is in case Mart's Mutant Mod. When the Enclave ambush you and take you away, your character is moved to another cell with all of your items stored in a locker right infront of you. MMM has Iguanas added into the game, and you have the option to kill the iguanas, instead of searching their corpses, you 'activate' them and "Iguana Bits" are added to the inventory. You can also pick up the Iguana and a "Live Iguana" is added to your inventory in the aid section. When you drop this item, it turns back into the creature and starts walking around as per. Because you can't actually put this into a container in the same cell your PC is in, the game crashes. Load a save right before you are ambushed and drop any Live Iguanas in your inventory, then super sledge the f*ckers for screwing up your game. I hope this is the case as it was with mine and that I helped! <3
  6. Use the Fallout Wikia or the GECK to find a certain Form/Base ID for an Object, with respect to what number Zeta.esm is in your load order. It might be easier to find out the ID for the Worldspace or Cell the teleporter puts you through to and then using the "coc <id>" command, if it's one of the scenes where the characters teleport through, find their ID's and use "prid <id>" then "moveto player", then "disable" and "enable" for each once you're in said worldspace. Hope I helped!

  8. Now i'm not saying I liked it - because I didn't - but it was unbelievably powerful: the ending to Mass Effect 3 was glorious. I never cried so much in my life to watch the Shepard, myself, sacrifice herself in order to save not just a few people, or even the human race, but the entire galaxy. Oh god just thinking about it...
  9. The new Tomb Raider reboot is actually really good, it's not really an Action RPG of sorts, but it does have some RPG elements. Getting XP, Levelling up, finding scrap to upgrade your equipment etc. And It's not a fixed path of gameplay, you tend to follow the main storyline in the game but you can wander off in the island and if you want to 100% the game, you have to go back on yourself and explore places you couldn't reach before. I'd try that if I were you.
  10. Other than Minecraft. When I'm in a "screw around" kind of mood with my games I like the ones where I can play god. I've you've never played From Dust then that's a nice game to mess around in, make a couple of characters in the Sims, start a last stand in GTA IV and see how long you can survive. Steam has a free weekend on a Marvel game at the moment!
  11. just wanted to confirm, thanks for the replies guys. I bought the Corsair GS600 and it works like a charm, nice one <3
  12. I'm sorry for bumping but Thor. - I watched prometheus. Oh my god that was so fxkcvxivgng good.
  13. das bump. Anyone lend me a hand in this? Still really not sure :(
  14. I've never really liked the taste of beer, only drink it to get drunk.. Corona is just about something I can stand. I love Amigos tequila beer, nothing beats that. Other than a Desperados with lime. Cider is your drink. Cornish Rattler! ;)
  15. You know what, I was just trying to remember some really weird film I'd watched as a kid the other day, and I couldn't remember the name of it. Thank god you came along, that was it. I'd seen the very first Evil Dead ages ago, at least when I was 10 or 11 years old. I think I'll go watch them all... thanks!
  16. RIGHT. No nonsense now, I'm really really bored and I wanna watch something good, something scary - REALLY scary. I love films that are shocking. The kind of horror films that show you some really messed up, shocking images and really scare you, make you cry, bite your covers in half etc. I've always loved horrors, and I've always loved being scared but because I've watched so many, they have a lesser effect on me. The scariest film I've seen so far has been 'Grave Encounters', I love the Found Footage film genre, Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity etcetera. But they aren't scary anymore, just- old footage for me. Please tell me that i'm still a noobie, and that there are loads of amazing films for me to watch, please. some suggestions, please :)
  17. Hey :) Build build build build, buying a Gaming PC is the worst thing you can do if you ask me, completely over priced and the satisfaction you get when you build yourself your own custom computer is just something else. My budget was around £700 and I run Skyrim on Ultra at 60fps, I never ever drop below 30. Copy my build as a guideline, basic, and upgrade it with what you have spare (i'm not sure if your talking that 1,100 in dollars or pounds) http://i48.tinypic.com/2hd3977.jpg Case: CoolerMaster Storm Scout MidTower Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 CPU and Heatsink Fan: AMD Phenom II X6 1045T 2.70GHz (You could buy an after market Heatsink fan with any extra money you have, but the temperatures I get are great without.) GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB DDR5 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz PSU: Corsair Gaming Series GS600W Memory Drive: Seagate Barracuda 500GB HDD OS: Windows 7 Home/Pro/Ultimate 64bit (Or Windows 8 if you swing that way) While I don't have a disc tray installed in my build anymore, you can buy yourself one, they're only cheap but not specifically 'necessary' for it. Other than, of course, loading your OS onto your hard drive. Any money you have left over, grab some upgrades. If you're outside the UK, obviously don't buy from the links I've given you but search for those products on Amazon.com, etc. All the best
  18. Download and Install a program called "Speccy", either that or using Razer Game Booster will show you your MoBo, CPU, GPU temps and Fan Speeds, it should just show them for you as they are read from your system :) Thank you for all the replies, gentlemen.
  19. Hey Nexus If you remember a topic I post few weeks ago on the same board about my GPU temperatures with an ACE Value Black Edition 600W PSU, the worst has happened. You were right... ah well. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/898954-xfx-radeon-hd-6870-temperature-help/ My power supply went and blew up, lucky me. This is the last time I buy anything 'ACE', their PSU's are a pile of s***. So now, obviously, assuming that my motherboard, GPU, Phenom II 1045T and the rest of my components aren't too damaged from it surging like that, I have to buy a new PSU. Heres my Speccy: http://i46.tinypic.com/2q0qdqd.png The XFX Radeon HD 6870 has 2 slots for 6 pin PCI-express cables from the power supply, the old ACE PSU only had one so I had an adapter running from another power supply to run it. Now that's gone, I'm getting a good one. I've waited two years to build that PC so I can wait a little longer, I was thinking this: Corsair Gaming Series GS600 What do you guys think, what would be the best PSU to run my setup? Thank you :)
  20. Thanks for the replies guys, that reassured me ;) I knew it was just me worrying far to much! For my CPU cooler i'm just using the heatsink fan that came with it, for some reason Speccy lies, but I have the AMD Phenom II 1045T - it's an amazing processor and as far as they go it's not that expensive. Other than that, my CoolerMaster Storm Scout case came fitted with enough fans (and flashy little lights, yay) I've looked into getting a new PSU, obviously I can't keep my set up forever, it look's like Frankensteins computer at the moment. I looked at some Corsair PSU's ranging about 50-60 pounds but i'm not too sure, as long as it has two 6pin PCIe cables and is atleast 600watts i'll be fine, what do you think?
  21. Hey Nexus :) After 2 years worth of a project, I finally built my gaming computer! Never been happier, now running Skyrim on Ultra with ENB Series with an average of about 40-60fps Heres my speccy: http://i46.tinypic.com/2q0qdqd.png I ran into a little problem when I first started with my computer, when I initially built it I found that there was only one 6pin PCI express cable from the power supply, while my 6870 needed two. I bought a 15pin SATA power to 6pin PCIe adapter and plugged it in with the same PSU. The PSU isn't great, so I kept getting power surges when trying to run a game, even with Skyrim on the lowest possible setting (600W ACE Black Edition from Box.co.uk, I really don't recommend buying ACE PSU's after mine and my friends experience, or even anything from Box.co.uk after I tried to return it) Eventually, I used the power supply from my old computer, powered it and hooked it into the adapter, then into my graphics card. So two power supplies are attatched into the PC, the main one attached to everything else and one 6pin in the graphics card, the old computer's PSU attatched in the graphics card alone so my two pc's stand next to each other. On idle, my GPU is at about 30-40 degrees centigrade, but while gaming I've seen that it reaches 60 degrees centigrade and looks like it keeps getting higher. This is while running nothing but Razer game booster and Skyrim. Basically, is this too hot? Or am I just worrying too much? If it isn't what is too hot? Eventually when I have the money I'll be looking at getting liquid coolers for the PC. Thanks guys :)

Welcome to the Nexus man :)
  23. Whoops, forgot... by a year nearly. Sorry for bumping the topic, but it worked. Thanks a lot!!
  24. Hey jcox26 While I've never actually thought of the two words 'professional' and 'gamer' next to each other, (kind of an oxymoron in my eyes!) I am still intrigued by it. I know some people who make money from 'gaming' as such. For instance; I have a friend at college who tests out new, obscure beta versions of console games and also tests out new consoles and computers. I know she was one of few who tested out the Nintendo 3DS a while back. I think the first thing that would be suitable for your book would be to describe what a professional gamer is, and how I can get that job!
