  1. They should remain friendly under three circumstances. You look like one of them by wearing their equipment, including weapons You walk and don't run while they can see you and are within a certain range You don't talk with them, and don't get close enough that they try to talk to you
  2. The current.. that will require a modder to take a lot of time if it is possible, having to go through all the rivers and change them lol.. surely to happen if possible. I don't care too much about the shores, but I do care about the shoreline.. the exact point at which the shore stops and water begins.. It needs to be rounded off they made it really obvious that you are looking at the lake in a game when you're standing atop a mountain.
  3. Oh, okay so you're saying there is only a chance that 4 of my 16 hits will break my sword when I am killing the dragon.. that isn't so likely... I don't know where you learned statistics but a 1 in 4 chance doesn't qualify for "only" status. You don't hear people say "you only have a 1% chance of success, go on in there now" without sarcasm at least. Somebody already said this previously, it is more realistic that the blade become dull than break entirely. Did you know that metal actually becomes stronger the more you hit it with something.. amazing eh! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_hardening Yea it really exists.. In order for the sword to break.. if you do want it to break.. it should be based of the quality level and then it should have a 0.01% chance of breaking during normal combat. If you use it as a shield then it becomes 0.1% if you block a power attack it becomes a 1% chance.. That would be on legendary quality.. lower than that multiply by (edit) 2, 4, 8, etc? but if you have a legendary weapon you kind of expect it to not break, wouldn't be much of a legend would it. -The Legend of Red Eagle (modified)- The empire was bearing down on him, weakened after felling a thousand men, one confident foot soldier walked up to Red Eagle.. He pulled out his battle hammer and prepared for his powerful attack, Red Eagle just stood there and prepared to block the attack with his legendary sword when the hammer fell(get it hammerfell.. sorry) and made contact with the blade Red Eagle was wielding it suddenly shattered into 3 pieces.. and then the hammer crushed his skull in. Yea it doesn't give the appropriate feel to many enchanted weapons for sure, as well as other weapons which are supposedly "legendary" Why would you think that you would have to keep going back and forth with what I said exactly.. I said after 6.7 billion forsworn.. that means you can make it take however many kills you think would be appropriate.. personally I think that would be probably 540 or so to go from legendary to epic and then less and less each time. You really think that is the DEFINITION of tedious..? Me.. myself.. I believe that is as far away from tedious while still having the functionality as possible.. where as a 1 in 4 chance of my sword breaking means I am going to be making a lot of swords... yea.. I'm the one with the tedious idea.. for sure!
  4. Change the name of the thread title.. duh.. I don't even understand your request to be honest, but you clearly need a better title.
  5. This looks fun, let me try. First off I like macaroni. Secondly I have hairy toe-tops. Lastly I think that the items should not be breakable; rather if possible have their quality degrade. For a weapon you have already improved using smithing enchantments and potions, you don't force the same use of those same things.. just use resources and return them to the quality you already improved them to. So you are out in the wilderness with your legendary axe of "rapemurder" (you know who you are) and after 3 dragons, 6.7 billion forsworn, and 2 bunny rabits your axe's blade is back to unimproved status and has none of the improvement bonuses that come with Legendary status. What do you do, well luckily it is already as improved as it can be, so all you need to do is find a grinding stone to sharpen it on, to do this, you need 5 ingots of whatever metal it's made of. You sharpen it and it is back to normal, and you didn't have to go through much tediousness. This avoids the tediousness of oblivion, avoids the opposite side of the spectrum and keeps you from other tedious activities such as opening your equipment equipping your Alchemist's Crown or your Burning Green Thumb and crafting some potions to help reforge your weapon from scratch. Killing, raping, and trapping the soul of a beggar into your black star, finding an enchanting station and recreating your axe of "rapemurder" from scratch. That would be annoying and tedious, so I like my contribution to the thread a lot more.
  6. Omg I never thought to change the ini.. duh I've been opening my console every time I launch. fov 120 would look way too warped. Try 90 or 95 it is more realistic and not so warped that it becomes a problem playing. 95 is the approximate fov for the average human btw
  7. I heard somebody say the display things have two objects involved with them, so these chests would be essentially the same thing. As I am pretty sure one is the base model and the other is a script object of some sort. So I would propose this. The script has a bunch of logic determining the animation to use. The animation would be pretty simple. Make the chest have three or four components as follows The chest itself A Gold pile A Gem pile and amulets and rings version of a gold pile, that is amulets and rings mixed in with the gold. The way it would work, hopefully this is possible but I don't know since I have no idea of the capabilities of the models in the game. Each component sits just beneath the chest which is presumably placed somewhere you can't look under it. Then as you add more gold and jewels into the chest those two piles rise up according to the script until eventually beginning to overflow or reaching a defined limit. These would be great for the thieves guild vault. I don't know, again, if the models are capable of animations and or manipulations of this sort so if it is possible there is the solution, if not keep brainstorming.
  8. looks like he wrote the wrong reply for that quote or chose the wrong quote for that reply.. whatever way you want to look at it. I am one for overhauls myself, because if done right everything can be entirely modular. So I tend to add ideas to a thread and try and get the owner of the OP to add them in. You are a hoot, that is why I keep returning to this thread; that and I don't have any updates on any other threads. You can rename thread titles btw, all apart of the edit function. The adult werewolves one is by a guy who isn't very clear about his intentions or speaks bad english. It is essentially wanting the same as the other.
  9. Oh I just remembered.. I need way more bookshelves too. I seem to have run out of book space long ago, especially for all the journals I collect.
  10. Yea I need more equipment displays as well. I don't have enough wall plaques to mount my weapons. I don't have many armor sets, but I share the base need.
  11. I am well aware of that issue with using a macro. I am saying that I doubt a mod will be able to provide any better solution. I don't know about you guys, but mods that added custom keys have always given me grief. Usually to the extent that the key presses don't always register. Your best bet, is to actually just bite the bullet and train yourself to notice the height difference or pay attention to your speed or get the silent roll perk.. basically train your brain.
  12. That is okay, you aren't very good at searching.. the important thing is you tried, so don't beat yourself up. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/483122-female-werewolf-mesh/page__p__3951933__hl__werewolf__fromsearch__1#entry3951933 http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/491064-adult-werewolf-models/page__p__4012544__hl__werewolf__fromsearch__1#entry4012544 http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/494103-werewolf-overhaul/page__p__4036010__hl__werewolf__fromsearch__1#entry4036010 As you see Dave, these all have to do with the same topic female werewolves. The first received zero replies, which is a good reason to create a new thread imo, but the others not so much. In any case I don't care too much, I just hate seeing new threads pop up for the same things. In fact the first two had bad grammar, so I understand not supporting them. An overhaul however, what's to keep you from adding to that. If you don't want anything else about the werewolves changed ask for a separation of the mod's components. Anyways, I am just defending my point of using the search feature is a good idea. So how about those lessons.
  13. I can't spell or read words so it doesn't help me. I communicate through humming and hitting sticks together. Do you give private lessons? I am unsure about the hitting sticks together, but I don't mind humming.
  14. I wasn't trying to imply that you implied anything. As you put it, magic doesn't follow natural laws of physics as a caster may shoot a fireball to go off in their own face and it does no harm so the environment should matter little. Not all games have done magic this way but since the traversal from tables to computers magic has become more user friendly as the years go by. I see a few reasons that would have hindered them making the magic castable under water; all decisions and exclusions are done to save time and money during development since they can always add it with the next one. Going back to your original "fire would be just silly" underwater, and they likely considered that fact. How magic may interact with objects is one thing, but how it is represented in respect to the environment it is in, is an important realism factor. It is better to save the time of making two instances of fire magic than to represent boiling water in a limited area. Water is a difficult enough thing to emulate as it is in 3d games, and expensive processing-wise.
  15. I think the swinging part is why they disabled it. They realized in oblivion it looked weird and outright disabled it. You could swing full speed and it was just as effective. In reality unless you are super powerful, the speed would be slow enough that swinging the sword would have no effect. You could still slice something, theoretically. You would need to put press on the surface of what you are cutting for the entire motion, which would push it away (underwater), and slide the blade down. I think it would be entirely impossible using the animations they have available if you were to try and reproduce them underwater. A dagger would work with the thrusting motion, whereas the sword being very heavy itself, would be more likely to just push the enemy away, or hurt its eye. Not to mention you would start sinking. I am not sure the same use of logic can be made with magic though, since for one it doesn't really exist. But more so, what is it that the magic is really doing. When you create fire, are you really creating fire, and burning something.. or are you heating the area up high enough until the oxygen burns.. if that is all you could certain cast it under water and it would begin to boil the water. Wouldn't be much of a fireball, but it would be a heat ball. The ice.. that is entirely true.. there is no getting around that one.
  16. FO3 BSA extractor. if it exists already and you think the modded ones would be good enough for male feet then just get the fo3 bsa extractor and take a look at the file names for the male versions. Look at the mod's file directory structure and match it in the extractor. Then make copies of the files in the mod and rename them to match what it shows in the extractor for the male versions. If you don't think they would make for good male feet, then I would try messaging the modder of the female ones. That screenshot is from oblivion btw
  17. What about fists or magic? I understand not being able to swing a sword or dagger, you'd only be able to thrust else there would be no much surface area to expend the energy of the attack into. I would make it possible to use magic and daggers everything else I think would be too inefficient. Alternatively just put on a good suit of armour and let them slowly build your armour level up
  18. This is a learning experience!
  19. I think I would get tired of any npc doing that. Which is why I keep the useless amulet unequipped. You should just get a spouse already and get rid of the amulet. It isn't like you and your spouse are going to consummate your love; it is more of a platonic love than anything else. If you're playing as a dude and marry another dude it's just bro love.. that's all. gay-trolls are gay, btw
  20. this has been requested before, think about joining those threads. For the people who keep up to date on thread's they've joined.. they will be more likely to reply to that thread and join ANOTHER for the same thing. Search: feet
  21. OMG of course! It is so obvious... I can't believe nobody has thought of this before!! Oh wait.. they did. It isn't as if there are other people who like dragons and may have also requested to play as a dragon on this exact forum.. too bad there isn't a search feature. Oh never mind me, I tend to forget such basic functions of computers and databases. Sarcasm aside.. I think the point is clear. I am sure there are threads with a lot more posts, why reinvent the wheel when you can just make a comment about the wheel and have it roll to the top of the list again.. ¬,¬
  22. I wonder how many pages this will get before it gets locked like the last one.
